WLAN disappeared

Compaq Presario CQ5011NL

All of a sudden, I have only a LAN cable. You can't find WLAN. I checked on the HP site and have installed the latest driver for the Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20).

What can I do more?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Thank you for your response. Until yesterday, I had a wireless connection with my router. My iPhone always andere iPad run on this router. I use Windows 7. I also have a wired connection to my pc.

My daughter has this laptop and lost features Wi - Fi during January 2010. I downloaded the latest BIOS and WLAN drivers, but the device is still missing in Device Manager. BIOS has active WLAN.

The laptop is running Windows 7, and the device is a Realtek RTL8191SE onboard.

I'm assuming that a windows update has disabled this as it already had no problems - works fine via ethernet cable.

When starting laptop, the wireless light comes on but goes off then once Windows is used.

It seems that there is a similar problem to others - I do not want to reinstall OS because I'm assuming that the updates of windows will do the same again.

Any ideas - Toshiba problem or problem of Windows 7?

  • Portege M200 - WLan disappears and cannot be reconnected

    Hey guys,.

I have a toshiba portege M200 computer laptop with Windows XP Professional and SP2.

If I turn the WLAN adapt the WLAN network appears once and I can connect and use it without problem.

If I disable and enable the wireless network adapter or it spend some time the WLAN network is not shown. A restart does not help.

Can someone tell what is the problem?

    Hello

How do you disable the wireless network adapter?
Did you use the switch on the side of laptops?

Usually the wireless network must be enabled by using the FN + F8 option
So if you your wifi does not work then you must use the FN + F8 combination keys to activate the WLan again.

In addition, you should check if you are using the latest driver WLan...

  • Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN disappeared

Compaq Presario F700 with a card Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN internal running Vista 32 bit.  After two years of trouble-free operation, after a MS-update, all of a sudden my PC does not see the internal WIRELESS card.  After having consulted the web, I tried two solutions.  I replaced the WLAN card.  No results.  I got a USB WLAN and that works very well.  After a few MS Update, the internal WLAN card has been recognized, Self installed and everything has been corrected... until I put the machine to sleep.  When he's awake, without WLAN.  Back to the dongle.  Some time later, I installed some other SW and the wireless card was recognized with the same result, he worked up a sleep and then was lost.  This product seems NOT hidden in Device Manager.  CANNOT install this product as material heritage because it does not exist in this list.  Here is a screenshot of Device Mgr: http://flash412pix.home.comcast.net/~flash412pix/DeviceMgr-NO-WIFI-Card.JPG

Yet the system information clearly show the machine 'sees' the card.  But the MAC is missing as well as other important information. http://flash412pix.home.Comcast.NET/~flash412pix/SystemInfoWIFI-card.jpg

I downloaded the Broadcom drivers and reinstalled them but the machine refuses to see the internal LAN card.  I have no usable restore point.  What will restore the RECOGNITION and operation of my Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN card?

    Hi Flash412,

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    1. click on Start, type Device Manager in the start search, then press on Enter.

    2. in the left pane of Device Manager, open the node that represents the network adapter , and then right click on the input of the unit.

    3. Select Properties , then check the option allow this device to wake the computer.

    4. click on OK.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hello Christer

Sorry, but it is not easy to understand what you are writing about. Reboots, go... hmmm.
You have installed some Microsoft updates or done something that may be responsible for this strange question?

Have you tried to restore OS hour earlier before it started?

The doesnâ card? t appear in the Device Manager it is not locked by FN + f8
My laptop is a Satellite A200

Try to update the BIOS and reset to the default values.

If this does not work, you may need to reinstall the wireless card. It could be a bad connection.

  • Satellite L300D-13s - why WLan appear and disappear

    I have wireless networks.
I can connect to that appear sometimes and sometimes disappear. If I want to connect to it that I have to go somewhere else.
Why wireless sometimes appear and disappear?

    Hello

The WLan can appear or disappear because of a weak wireless signal.
My WLan disappear and lose connection if I move to the other room

But this issue may be related to a BIOS and WLan driver so I recommend to first update the BIOS, then the driver WLan.

Both parties are placed and published on the page of Toshiba Europe.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A350 is no longer able to use the WLan

    Hello guys,.

so... I started using Bluetooth earlier, use of the Internet via a cable... Today I tried to use my WLan again, but it did not work (worked well before).
So I tried to activate it via FN + F8, but all I can see is activate Bluetooth, one for the WLan disappeared?
The WiFi light only blinks when Bluetooth is activated. I would rather turn off Bluetooth that not being able to use the WLan.

    I think it's a similar problem
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=67514&TSTART=0
but I really didn't want to install a bad driver or anything like that.

I use a 32-bit Vista and my PC-Tool says that I use these networks currently (I just copy and pasted because honestly, I have no idea, hahaha).
    Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) Version = 6.208.729.2008 MAC address = 00:23:5 A: 05:61:05
    Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN Version = 12.2.0.11 MAC address = 00:21:5 D: 62:D8:1 C

I would be so happy if someone could help me fix the problem anytime soon, because I really need wireless capability soon. Thanks :)

Former Satellite A350 was delivered origin with Vista OS, so at first I would like to know if you use original recovery image (OS) that you got with your laptop.
If I understand you good WLAN card is installed and registered properly in Device Manager. Can you confirm this?

I have Satellite A300 and a friend of my A350 but WLAn works properly on both machines so I m a bit confused why the WLAN option is missing when you use the FN + F8 key combination.
I m wondering why WLAN is detected by the system but ignored by the utility of flash cards.

I'm don't know if this will help, but try to follow:
Enter the BIOS and set it to default settings
    Reseat the wireless network card.
Reinstall the extra value package, and check again.

If the problem persists after doing all this, you have to do a final check and reinstall the OS using original recovery image that you got with your laptop. It's a way more radical, but certainly more efficient to solve a software problem.

  • Z580 - WLAN adapter problem

I've got Lenovo IdeaPad Z580, with Core i7, 4 GB of RAM and 1 TB of HARD drive processor.

A few months ago, I noticed that my BONES sometimes would freeze (make this beep sound freakin ') if I moved my computer too fast in my office (weird). She got worse a few weeks ago and seems to be somehow connected to my wireless network adapter.

It especially simply - nothing works. Switch WLAN disappears from the BIOS configuration, etc., like it wasn't even there. If I'm lucky (as I am now), it would work somehow. All of a sudden appears again in the BIOS etc. I can even use it on my Windows 8, but... If I propose a little my laptop, it will suddenly freeze and restart causes WLAN adapter not in the system at all, or the connection is de-energized ("metered" stuff etc.). Restart adapter according to the results of system in "find no WLANs", wlan switch endangered or gel.

I tried to reinsert the WLAN card, it sorta fixed stuff when I did it for the first time, I had a week or two without a problem, but he returned and reintegrated support is no longer.

First question what I can do with this adapter WLAN problem?

Second question is - while doing all this thing reinserting, my screws are a little bare now (but not completely, it is possible to get them unscrewed without any problem) because I have not noticed my screwdriver is broken and ruining. My laptop is still covered by the warranty? I do not have removed or broken any warranty seals in the process well, just the screws.

I forgot to mention, by WLAN adapt is Atheros AR9485WB-EG.

Information on repair mentions setting parts disconnected.

  • WiFi adapter has gone from one day to the next

HI - can someone help me understand why the wifi adapter might have disappeared since the device from one day to the next Manager? And how do I get it back?

    Thank you very much

    P

    Hi P_1

One of the reasons why a device disappear are simple a hardware malfunction.
It would be very interesting to know what model of laptop you have and what card WLan disappeared.
But generally if the Wlan chip isn t listed in Device Manager, and if there is no yellow or peripheral exclamation points strangers, then everything looks like a hardware failure.

  • Suddenly disappeared WLan device - Satellite Pro L300 Manager

Satellite Pro L300 running on wireless. Recently turned off don't but when restarted there is no wireless connectivity.
(hardware wireless enabled, [fn] switch F8 enabled) (Until that day in the BIOS)

There is no device showing in Device Manager wireless.
The machine has been restored to several previous restore points in the last five days, when the wireless device was present.

Anyone know why the wireless adapter can suddenly disappear from the Device Manager and how it can be restored?

    > Wireless adapter suddenly disappeared from the Device Manager. How can they be restored?

You should try to install the wlan driver:

  • Satellite L650-1NC - Map disappeared WLAN Device Manager

    Hi guys!

I bought the Satellite L650-1NC. After installing the system, everything is ok, but no wireless card. I downloaded the latest drivers from Toshiba and manufacturer sites. After you have installed the latest drivers for the wireless card disappeared from the Device Manager! Connection via cable, works without problem. Exhausted all ideas. Help, please.
    Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
Wireless card: Realtek Wireless LAN adapter 8191SE/8192SE

    PS. Sorry for my English

    Hey,.

The WLAN card is listed in the device as unknown device manager or it is completely gone?

It's probably happened due bad installation driver in your case, I recommend removing all WLAN drivers and run CCleaner tool to clean the registry. Then download & install the latest official Portal WLAN WLAN drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Also, make sure that the wireless network adapter is enabled. This can be done with the FN + F8 key combination.

System Manager sd reader to disable and enable the work of sd reader, but I don't do that all the time.

    Hey,.

1: have you already updated the card reader driver?

2: you can disable the wireless network adapter in the device for example Manager. Then the wireless network card is disabled until you turn it on in the Device Manager.
