WLAN disconnected on Satellite L300 - 12H

My machine is a 12noon L300 and the built-in wireless is a Realtek. Vista Home Premium installed.

I downloaded the current driver on the Toshiba Site (drivers with a recnt date most are recommended by Windows, but these don't work).

What happens to my setup is that the beworking wll wireless normally and then suddenly fall connection. If I now check computer/manage/Device Manager I see the pilot disappeared. If I now start cold, sometimes the driver relates however, it is often necessary to re - install the driver and then cold start again. Sometimes even if it does not work unless the driver is first uninstalled mode safe mode and reinstall again. I always make sure that option on the energy saving adapter is off.

Very annoying. Once the connection will last all day - sometimes it only takes a few minutes. Sometimes the connection drops completely, sometimes just returns to limited connection. I wonder if it is a faulty adapter.

Any suggestions...?

Thank you

Will be

I have a Sallite L300 too and have no problem with the WIFI connection.

In your case, I'd do a BIOS update. Take a look at the Toshiba site and if don t have the most recent BIOS, download and update.

In addition, you can test the WLAN on another router and disable security features (hidden SSID, MAC address filtering)
The laptop and the router should use the same standards to work properly.

    Hello

If I m not mistaken not completely the laptop was equiuped with the Realtek WLan card and that's why you need to download and reinstall the Realtek WLan driver in Toshiba page!

The L300-11V belongs to the PSLB0E series.

Choose and download the driver from the driver page!

When the Toshiba tries to connect, it disconnects my other machine.

I have Vista Home Premium and it has been bundled with the laptop.

The laptop has been fine since September and there were no new hardware changes etc.

It's really strange, but you use DHCP on your router?
These problems are caused only if you use the same computer and/or IP address.
Here, you can compare these points.

Make sure you have the latest firmware update for your router and disable all the security features for the tests.

    Hello!

What laptop you have and you have the latest driver WLAN? You can download it here:
    http://195.182.196.33/WLAN/

In addition, I recommend turning off some options that affect the WLAN functionality (device-online card Manager WLAN-online properties => energy saving) saving.

The laptop and the router, use the same standard WLAN and disable all the security settings on the router for the test.

Linking the T110 in my home network wireless works perfectly near the router.
When I move away from it drops wireless.

Previously, he worked far away from the router.
I tested with other machines and the wireless still works well on them... I've already updated the driver, but the problem persists.

    What can I do more?

    Thank you

    > Before, it worked far away from the router.

What have you changed in the past?
Maybe something in the settings of the WLan router?

What about the Wan channel option (1-12) that can be set in the settings of the Wlan router?
I recommend you to check different channels.

In addition you should go to power options Windows and need to disable for the WLan in advanced energy saving power settings

  • Satellite L300 PSLBGE Vista 64bits - WLan disconnects at random times

    Hey,.

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLBGE series) computer laptop. It has 4 GB of RAM, so I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 on that.

Problem is that on the Toshiba site there are only drivers Vista32 and with those that I found online, the wireless adapter works, but it keeps disconnecting at random times. It works fine until it stops randomly, there is no message "Network cable" unplugged

    What should I do?

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you have exactly the WLan card.

I know you could use some WLan drivers from this Toshiba WLan page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, I recommend turning off some options that affect the WLan in energy saving feature.

First turn off in energy-saving WLan card properties. (device-> card Manager WLan-> properties-> energy saving)
Then check the power options of Vista-> wireless adapter settings > power save Mode

Here this Toshiba doc could be useful for finding these settings:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD84026Q0000R01.htm

Finally and above all the Advanced tab in-WLan card-> properties > Device Manager contains some useful WLan settings that might increase WLan performance

  • WLAN disconnect on my Satellite L300

    Very expensive!

I got Toshiba Satellite L300 1 to 3 for two years now with original Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

    My wireless has never worked.

I updated my driver for my Realtek (RTL8187B wireless 802 11 b / g 54 Mbps USB 2.0 network adapter) so many times so please do not recommend anything like this again. I searched so many times in forums like this one and other and tried everything but nothing worked.

PROBLEM IS: I managed to connect to my modem, but the connection disconnects immediately I get out of my internet browser. Wireless CAN find networks, but cannot stay in touch! So I guess that the equipment works properly. Is it?

After that, I have to restart my computer to find these wireless networks.

I tried to update the BIOS, but my computer crashed so I gave up on that.
It seems that all the FN F8 and F9 buttons are working.

Is it Vista? What should I do?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi assert,

    > I tried to update the BIOS, but my computer crashed so I gave up on that.
BIOS update crashed the fact your computer boot properly or what happened exactly while the BIOS update?

The BIOS update would be worth a try but make sure that you have downloaded the correct file for her.

No doubt, it can be useful if you reinstall Windows Toshiba recovery disc. Maybe something has confused the WLAN driver or something else. With recovery disk, you can restore the original settings. :)

Edit: Just checked the powersaving parameter and seen the the box "allow the computer to turn this device to save power" is checked, I uncheck the to solve my problem?

I think you're talking about your first thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=165938

    > Edit: just checked the setting of energy-saving and saw the box "allow the computer to turn this device to save power" has been checked, I uncheck the to solve my problem?

You certainly need to deselect this option because if she checked s then the cell phone would turn off / Unplug the WLan card to save battery.

  • Disconnections irrational Internet on Satellite L300

Well, in the title, I couldn't t tell my detailed problem. I have the Satellite L300.

When I m using MSN messenger with video chat or voice conversation, using Skype, download something (music, video, etc.), my internet disconnected. I can t understand why.

An example. When I m on a conversation using MSN messenger, firstly the wiev begins to shut down and then continues. It happens 2 or 3 times more and then disconnects. For a long time I looked for this topic, but I found nothing.

Please help, how can solve this problem? Also I updated the wireless and some drivers. But I couldn't t do anything. Please, I need real help.

    P.S. I am using Vista.

    Hello!

You use the WIFI network for connection, right?
Which driver do use? Toshiba or another external Web site?
On the site of Toshiba WLAN you can download the drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In your case, I would check if the wireless network adapter and the router use the same standards.
To test, disable all the security settings of the router. For example: encryption settings, SSID hidden, MAC address filtering, firewall, etc.

Good luck and give me a reason why this has happened.

    Good bye

    Hello!

I think that this is not a problem. Windows 7 is only a beta OS and at the moment, the pilot decision-making is not very good.

You might find some drivers on the site of the factory of the WLAN card. In your case, it should be Realtek.

    My L300-1AS connects not wireless.

    Hello

I have a Satellite L300 too but it s a L300-10 q, but it should be very similar to yours
In any case, the hardware switch on the front of the laptop must be on the right side. On my laptop on the right side is marked with and the left side with judgment.
    Check again!
If you are not sure, take a look in the user manual.

In addition you can enable/disable WLAN with FN + F8.

Have gotten my Satellite L300 PSLB8E some 2 months ago and since the first day (RTL8187b) wireless is having serious problems.

Continuous wireless connection drop if other phones that I use at home are very good.
LAN on the same Satellite works fine as well, it's just wireless problem with this particular machine.

    Hello

What version of BIOS you have on your laptop?

There is a version v1.8 of BIOS on the European driver Toshiba page.
Check if you have a lower version. If so update!

In addition, I would recommend WLan driver download Realtek page:
    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/

You can find the most recent driver.

Last but not least that it would be a good idea to verify that the settings in the Panel-> WLan card properties-> Advanced tab.
Here you can change the encryption, the channel and the power saving settings.
I recommend turning off the energy-saving WLan card.

You should also update the Vista of the State. I read that Vista has caused a lot of issues that have been fixed with the latest patches and fixes.
