WLAN driver update

Hello

We have some problems with the Wyse D10DP and Xirrus WLAN. Sometimes (2 - 3 times a day) the customer loses the connection to the server of the RPD. The Signal strength is ok and after reconnected everything works well. The Xirrus Support suggests to update the wlan driver. In the newspaper, they found the following indicator: alarm connectivity: chess review pilot (Rev).< 14.0),="" 1="" is="" greater="" than="" threshold="" of="">

We have installed the real WTS on the device (8.1_027).

How we can update the WLAN driver to satisfy the Xirrus support?

Thanks for the help!

Claudio

You can contact our Center of self-service department support at www.wyse.com/kb or by phone in the United States are 1-800-800-9973 option 4. For other countries, go to www.wyse.com/support. WTS does not provide features to add drivers, then she should be evaluated by our Engineering Department.

    Hello

Firstly, it must ensure that your wireless network card and your WLan router would support the Draft N.

Second, you should check if the project has been selected in the WLan card properties.
This, to check the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card

As an example, the indicator shows 3 of 4 bars, but i had no connection. When I start chrome or firefox, nothing does. After a reboot its works normally. My router works with an another old toshiba laptop and my pc.
I checked with avast and malwarebytes anti my laptop and it should be clean.

Are those driver display toshiba even as nvidias packages or something is missing?

I want to update too, because some games get better performance. Should I use nvidias driver or those provided Toshiba. Another son, I saw that I must update the first intel and NVIDIA driver. Is this fair?

You must take the one that is available for the wireless network adapter.

  • Satellite L20-196 - updates to the Atheros WLAN driver

As may relative novice, I ask why Toshiba have updated the version of the driver (Windows XP) wireless lan Atheros three times in the last two months? The last update 25/05/11. It would not be because it's still a beta version and it would be better to wait for a final version?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Only the Toshiba himself knows why they have updated the driver. Here it s only a user to user forum so I doubt someone can answer your question because only this is no people of Toshiba.

But why is it so important? If you n t have any problems you can forget the driver updates. This is only necessary if something doesn't work properly.
Theoretically the new drivers don t contains bug fixes and supports Atheros WLAN cards. Who knows?

There is a * (optional) * updated by Windows Vista to...
    * Update driver Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network connection *.

I would like to know if it's a good idea to go for the update of this window gave or not?

    2. I've heard that it has deepened the Start button > all programs > Toshiba > a place where I can go and it could me check for all needed updates for the drivers of Toshiba and all necessary updates...

Pls any idea where to do it?

    Thank you

    Hello

This update seems to be linked to the Intel WLan driver.
I think it s not necessary to update the Intel WLan driver through update of Windows Vista.
If you want to update the WLan driver then visit the page of the Toshiba Wlan driver or the Intel page.

With regard to the second question.
You can visit the European driver Toshiba page and there you can check what newer drivers have been released.

There is also a tool called Toshiba [Tempro | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/TEMPO_RELEASE/] that keep you abreast of software updates and the latest Toshiba driver as soon as they are released

Both are listed in the "update files" section for updates available for my laptop.

Can I take both, or it will spoil my most vital wireless connection?

The laptop run and use the wire properly?

  • Windows Update includes the Toshiba driver updates?

    Hello

Windows Update includes the Toshiba driver updates?

And if yes, do you know what drivers are included in Windows Update and that would be excluded?

    Thank you...

    Hello

Microsoft and Toshiba updates are two different things.
Toshiba drivers are offered by Toshiba, and these drivers are tested by Toshiba. Toshiba has developed a small tool called TEMPRO. This tool runs in the background and look for information on available updates.
All updates of drivers, tools and utilities does not update automatically. It can be done by the owner of the laptop. TEMPRO just pick up info on the net and to inform the owner of the laptop.

Microsoft updates are probably known to you. These updates are Microsoft and Toshiba has no influence on this.
When you check the list of available updates may have included updates to the WLAN/LAN card, driver of the touchpad and device ACPI Toshiba x 64. This is defined as optional updates and cannot be updated.

To be honest you should not update at all. For hardware use drivers provided by Toshiba only.

  • Satellite S50t-B950 - WIFI card without success after driver update

    Hello

Toshiba service station told me with a new updated driver wireless lan install, after you install it, the wifi option has disappeared on my laptop, I can not access the network or the internet, except using a cable, I tried everything but nothing helps, however I tried also open the manual installation of toshiba drive but could not be downloaded.

This problem has become a serious problem.

    laptop Satellite S50t-B950

I think you might return the system to the point of time at the beginning using the internal windows system restore option.

In system properties, you will find different tabs
The 4th called System Protection tab button: System Restore
Now, you will be able to choose the system restore point (date) that you want to load.

I guess this will restore the WLan driver too.

  • Satellite C870D - 11 X - Realtek WLAN Driver and adapter issues

I hope this is the right place for some kind of assistance. Last week, I installed a Windows Update option for the Realtek Wireless Adapter. Once it was installed, the wireless connection dropped after 5 minutes and the only way to restore it was to run the troubleshooter where he repaired, and then lasted another 5 minutes before going down. I couldn't find a sequel to uninstall the update, so very foolishly uninstalled Realtek adapter in Control Panel Add/Remove programs who left my PC without a driver.

I had to (and am still) attach my PC to my phone to use the Wi - Fi connection. I searched this site and found the Realtek adapter download and installed, however, its still does not. It does not detect the router home or any other nearby Wi - Fi access points. Windows diagnosis was performed several times, that he picked up that there is a problem with the Wi - Fi adapter, however, is unable to fix it. He said only: "There could be a problem with the driver for the adapter Wi - Fi" and when I fly over the result, it evokes "Windows could not automatically bind the Protocol IP on the network card stack.

I tried to run a restore of the system which goes back to the date that I've installed and Windows has just said that the restoration has failed. If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC. Please can anyone help with what I can do next? Thank you.

At first, I must say that you should not install any driver that is offered by Windows update. Toshiba offers notebook with recovery image pre-installed that contains all the drivers, tools and utilities. The preinstalled drivers are tested and avoid a serious problem.

Everything that you have done is good and I think that there is not so much possibilities except to the Reinstall original WLAN driver available on the Toshiba download page.
    > If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC.
OK, I understand that, but it does not depend on the recovery image, but in the way how you use your laptop. I phone 4 years old and always use installation of initial recovery with the original drivers and I have no problem.

Sorry, but maybe you should back up all your important data and reinstall the recovery still image, but after doing that doesn't change anything. Just install major update of Windows, and no more than that.

Someone has a tip for me?

    Hi dude

Are you sure that the laptop was equipped with the Atheros WLan card? According to some information that I found in the internet, this laptop comes with an Intel or Atheros WLan card!

I checked the page Toshiba provides an Intel WLan Atheros Wireless Lan Client Manager and drivers. The Wireless Lan Client Manager is not the driver, but only the tool that helps you to configure your wireless network card and gives you more than the functions integrated configuration of windows configuration options.

I recommend to download this portal Toshiba WLan WLan driver:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

By the way; If you use XP on this laptop preinstalled Vista you will need to update the BIOS to version XP too!

    Greetings ;)
