WLC configuration or backup script?
Hello
I wonder if there is a way to save the WLC configuration such as a .txt file or a copy start tftp as a switch or a router command to then paste or load it to another or the same WLC.
It's because I'm about to add a WLC backup my network whose only difference will be the name and IP address so I hope that I can avoid going step by step thanks to its configuration. Or lets say I restore default settings in my current WLC and then I want to just load a config file, or again it is a step by step process?
Kind regards!
The Solution has been added in the following Document: -.
https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-21757
Hello
From 5.2 or later, when you load the configuration via FTP or TFTP file, you can actually open it with a text editor and it should show a list of orders:
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/wireless/controller/6.0/Configuration/Guide/c60mfw.html#wp1046683
In this way, you can make changes to the text editor and load it to the WLC.
Alternatively, you can also copy the config set as a text, switch mode config of the WLC (with the command 'config') and at the prompt "config >" just copy the entire configuration text file.
Hope this helps,
Fede

Backup script no longer works in macOS Sierra
This line in a backup script used to synchronize the folder my documents with my Synology NAS:
rsync - avh - delete - progress ~/Library/"Mobile Documents" / com ~ apple ~ CloudDocs/Documents /Volumes
A ran in the Sierra, he deleted the contents of the folder/Volumes/Documents on the NAS. Nothing is copied.
The ~/Library/"Mobile Documents path" / com ~ apple ~ CloudDocs/Documents is valid in the terminal. I don't see what has changed.
Modify the script to this:
rsync - avh - delete - progress ~/Documents /Volumes
A did the trick. Do not know why. The old path seems valid in the terminal.

SBS 2008 backup automatic Wizard fails cannot configure the backup schedule
I need to install a new drive for backup for SBS 2008.
The new drive is 3 T. The backup requires 567G.
The Backup Wizard fails with the message "cannot configure the backup schedule.
I looked on the MS Support and the only link is related to the target being too small. Although does not here apply.
The log file indicates that the operation failed because "the critical volumes cannot be excluded", but I included C drive in its entirety. There is a system drive D, but it is not available in the backup configuration.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Hello
(1) did you the latest changes on the computer?
(2) you are performing the backup of the computer, or you are trying to back up some files and folders?
(3) are you trying to backup to another drive or the hard drive even?
(4) who start around the high status are you referring to?
Method 1: Search for the shadow copy of Volume.
Step 1: Click Start, type services.msc (without the quotes) in the search bar and press enter.
Step 2: Double click on Volume Shadow Copy Service and switch to the general tab.
Step 3: Change the type of startup to Automatic and click on apply.
Step 4: Click Start , and then click OK.
Method 2:
There will be some corruption of system files, you can perform the scan System File checker [SFC] on the computer, the scan replaces the system corrupted files with the files from the original Windows version.
To see how to the SFC Scan click on the link below and follow the steps in the Kb article.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
Note: Run the following commands in elevated command prompt, as mentioned in the above article.
When the analysis is complete, check to see if the problem still persists.
Method 3: You can also check out the link below to run a disk check:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors
Important: All performing hard disk the disk check if bad sectors are found on the disk hard disk check is trying to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
I hope this helps.

MAXL - Backup Script Essbase for lack of encrypted password
I went through the steps of...
1. creation of public/private keys
2. password encryption
3. pass these components in the backup script Essbase
From the kick-off of the EssbaseBackup.bat, it fails to connect with the username password / encrypted.
If I remove the encrypted password and instead, encode the password, it connects fine and generates the backup file Essbase.
Anyone of you people seen this behavior before? All good pointers trying to solve this problem?
Appreciate any feedback.
It would have been useful to see your script too, but looks like you are missing $key in your statement at the opening session.
It should be something like:
login administrator $key 23958236592475923472398969868968756 ON HYPERION;
I'm assuming you use you're maxl script with the parameter-d and the provision of key private after him.

If you set UP CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON, then you don't need separate steps to back up the control and the spfile. In fact, I do not think that you don't even need to do. Any time that the backup is a backup of the table system (datafile #1) space, it will also create a backupset to include the control file and the spfile. Try it yourself.
Everything in your summary of the list 'backup' is already included in your backup of 'list '.
I would add 'delete all entries "for the backup of the archivelogs. '. If you do not, then eventually your archivelog destination fills. (Well, if you check in CRF, then it will delete archives when there need more space - if it can and do not compromise your position of recovery.)
In addition, to overlap/remove expiration on safeguards, I would do the same for the archivelogs.

I would just give you the highlights as I would:
(1) create a shell script which create directory unix with date (e.g., mkdir/somepathhere / 'date' +%Y.%m.%d__%H%M%S ")
(2) generate the script in which backup command in "xyz" will have xyz format, replaced by the path of complete directory of point 1.Paul

Reporting framework allows you to create custom reports by querying the data from Tables of EM / views.
It also has the possibility to send reports. For your condition, you can query the view "MGMT$ JOB_EXECUTION_HISTORY.

RAC and non-RAC db backup script
Hi all
I need to create a hot backup RMAN script for a hot full backup of database RAC 2 nodes 11.2.0.4 version.
I have a script that works perfectly in the stand-alone database. This script ran in the database of no - ASM no CARS.
It is: if I implement the rman script no CARS on a RAC 2 nodes using ASM database, should I change something? I don't have much experience with rman.
Thank you.

Hello
same RMAN commands should work in the CARS and environment not RAC, but it depends on how you have configured the script.
have you configured snapshot controlfile on shared location?

Configure a backup at the request of 5.0 ESXi hosts
Hello
Is there anyway that I can configure a scheduled backup of 10 servers ESXi?
Please suggest.
Thank you
Mihir
Mihir salvation,
Years ago I was also thinking around how to manage the ESX (i) to return once crashing.
I could circle in all directions, but I come to the end that "try to save some configs" > theire is of single Point of failure.
-Get 100% of all the files that are needed to get the config back once that crashing
-At a Major relase change > perhaps this dependend files modification or extension
-Restore/backup Configs, maybe causing a kind of instability...
-Don't know if Vmware supports 100% backup and restore config
In any case, my own Solution follows.
Instead of save config and trying to restore > I kill 2 flies with 1 slap.
-Fast food (but of the mind, this is a new installation and pushing scripts,...)
-Update of the process. (New installation with the new Build number)
I use the PXE boot solution.
The server is much more stable.
What I did:
-R2 Windows 2012 with IIS + WDS
-With the help of 2 actions
1 x for WDS
1 x for IIS
IIS part = 1: Hostcfgs (Kickstart files for each host)
2: Patch (placed the last update file)
3: scripts (host, ntp file, the advanced settings, file exchanges,...)
WDS share = deployment share of default windows where I place the iso extract binaries and files menu pxelinux.cfg,...
Then at all. Once I have a strange problem. I push things kickstart and have following
-More information freshly installed with all THE Configs as before
And once that a new major Relase is out > it is easy to integrate to PXE.
If you have only one initially effort and you need keep the patches (or by creating every time a new Source).
PS: Remember, you must be sure that the system is Stable. And with a sort of backup/restore > you never 100% could be sure that this is the case. Because you know a lot of theire ID of the object in the background... With this kind of Solution, I could be sure that I covered everything 100%.
"vicfg-cfgbackup" is a good idea >, but never I would rely on it completely.
Just Feedback to think in the other direction.
Best regards
