Hello together,

I want to back up my configuration of start-CAT6500 to disk0: flashcard and that you want to save the config file with the actual timestamp in the config-file-name on disk0:

In what follows the syntax:

Event Manager applet backup_conf_to_CF_card

syslog event model ' % PFINIT-SW1_SP-5-CONFIG_SYNC: Sync'ing to the standby router startup configuration. "

command action 1.0 cli 'enable '.

Action 2.0 cli command "conf t".

Action 3.0 cli 'file quiet guest. "

Action 4.0 cli command "end".

action 5.0 cli command "" copy startup-config disk0:backup_conf?".

action 6.0, "conf t" cli command

Action 7.0 cli command "end".

action 8.0 cli don't command "no quiet guest file".

subject of the server "10.158.128.120" to "XXXX" to "XXXX" action 9.0 mail ' testlab saved on disk0 boot configuration:

!

Is there a date variable native, I can use? What would be the proper syntax?

Thank you very much

BR Patrick

It is a little easier in TCL to control the file name. I use the following to configs copied to a server TFTP (environment variable) in a specific date format (I use other scripts to call this script on a regular and the basis of change in config):

: cisco::eem:event_register_none maxrun 60

If {!} [info exists BackupTFTPServer]} {}
the value "policy cannot be performed: variable BackupTFTPServer is not defined.
error $result $errorInfo
}

the timestamp value [clock format [clock second] - format {% Y.%m.%d.%H%M%S} - gmt {false}]
Set routername [host name for information]
Set the location tftp: / / $BackupTFTPServer / $routername. $timestamp.conf

import namespace: cisco::eem: *.
import namespace: cisco::lib: *.

If {[result catch {cli_open}]
error $result $errorInfo
} else {}
Table game cli1 $result
}

If {[result catch {cli_exec $cli1 (fd) 'enable'}]
error $result $errorInfo
}

If {[catch {cli_exec $cli1 (fd) ' configure terminal '} result]}
error $result $errorInfo
}

If {[result catch {cli_exec $cli1 (fd) "invites quiet file"}]
error $result $errorInfo
}

If {[result catch {cli_exec $cli1 (fd) 'end'}]

If {[result catch {cli_exec $cli1 (fd) 'copy running-config $location'}]

    Hello

    How have you tried to install vista on the laptop?
    Have you tried to switch the MCE to Vista or were you running the new clean install of Vista?

    In my opinion, you must perform a clean installation. Don t updated the existing MCE of Vista.

    my startup configuration is corrupted. and I tried to re - install my operating system but its does not work. Help. idk what to do

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the Mode and/or the system restore safe does not work and you do not have a Microsoft DVD of Vista (you have Dell, HP, etc.), do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
  • Configure a backup task every night
    I want to configure a backup task every night. I'll probably have a few models in the library of work, and each will be held every night with multiple targets.
    How can I configure a report on each night works? is - to be emailed every morning to several people (failing backups etc.). I couldn't find a way to recognize a report on the situation of employment (all runs of the last execution). Advice on how to proceed?
    I10.2 SGD, you can use the framework. Reporting framework allows you to create custom reports by querying the data from Tables of EM / views.
    It also has the possibility to send reports.
    For your condition, you can query the view "MGMT$ JOB_EXECUTION_HISTORY.
  • WLC configuration or backup script?
    Hello
    I wonder if there is a way to save the WLC configuration such as a .txt file or a copy start tftp as a switch or a router command to then paste or load it to another or the same WLC.
    It's because I'm about to add a WLC backup my network whose only difference will be the name and IP address so I hope that I can avoid going step by step thanks to its configuration. Or lets say I restore default settings in my current WLC and then I want to just load a config file, or again it is a step by step process?
    Kind regards!
    The Solution has been added in the following Document: -.
    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-21757
    Hello
    From 5.2 or later, when you load the configuration via FTP or TFTP file, you can actually open it with a text editor and it should show a list of orders:
    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/wireless/controller/6.0/Configuration/Guide/c60mfw.html#wp1046683
    In this way, you can make changes to the text editor and load it to the WLC.
    Alternatively, you can also copy the config set as a text, switch mode config of the WLC (with the command 'config') and at the prompt "config >" just copy the entire configuration text file.
    Hope this helps,
    Fede
  • Configure a backup at the request of 5.0 ESXi hosts
    Hello
    Is there anyway that I can configure a scheduled backup of 10 servers ESXi?
    Please suggest.
    Thank you
    Mihir
    Mihir salvation,
    Years ago I was also thinking around how to manage the ESX (i) to return once crashing.
    I could circle in all directions, but I come to the end that "try to save some configs" > theire is of single Point of failure.
    -Get 100% of all the files that are needed to get the config back once that crashing
    -At a Major relase change > perhaps this dependend files modification or extension
    -Restore/backup Configs, maybe causing a kind of instability...
    -Don't know if Vmware supports 100% backup and restore config
    In any case, my own Solution follows.
    Instead of save config and trying to restore > I kill 2 flies with 1 slap.
    -Fast food (but of the mind, this is a new installation and pushing scripts,...)
    -Update of the process. (New installation with the new Build number)
    I use the PXE boot solution.
    The server is much more stable.
    What I did:
    -R2 Windows 2012 with IIS + WDS
    -With the help of 2 actions
    1 x for WDS
    1 x for IIS
    IIS part = 1: Hostcfgs (Kickstart files for each host)
    2: Patch (placed the last update file)
    3: scripts (host, ntp file, the advanced settings, file exchanges,...)
    WDS share = deployment share of default windows where I place the iso extract binaries and files menu pxelinux.cfg,...
    Then at all. Once I have a strange problem. I push things kickstart and have following
    -More information freshly installed with all THE Configs as before
    And once that a new major Relase is out > it is easy to integrate to PXE.
    If you have only one initially effort and you need keep the patches (or by creating every time a new Source).
    PS: Remember, you must be sure that the system is Stable. And with a sort of backup/restore > you never 100% could be sure that this is the case. Because you know a lot of theire ID of the object in the background...  With this kind of Solution, I could be sure that I covered everything 100%.
    "vicfg-cfgbackup" is a good idea >, but never I would rely on it completely.
    Just Feedback to think in the other direction.
    Best regards
  • Configuration of backups from iCloud drive: why are there two Mobile Documents files?
    I've recently started using iCloud drive to synchronize documents between my Mac and iOS devices. Now, I want to assure you that I have local backups of these documents.
    I understand that the documents synchronized via iCloud are store locally in my Mobile user home/library/Documents folder. But when I check I made 2 folders: Documents Mobile and Mobile Documents.90391253.  The Documents Mobile folder seems to keep all the records that I created using Pages, drafts and TextEdit.  The second folder has files with obscure names such as ' JFJWWP64QD ~ com ~ goodiware ~ GoodReader. ". Records of Documents that I checked are empty.
    Here is a screenshot of the second folder:
    Why are there two folders of Documents Mobile? When you add a folder to a backup program, I would add two folders or just the folder Documents Mobile?
    The second folder (the one your screenshot) is a backup of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, which was made via iTunes. More information: finding and managing your backups iTunes - Apple Support
    Hello
    If the settings tab is greyed out then you probably problem of connectivity with VCS. just try to purge the VCS of the list (do not delete but purge it) and re - add new. see if you can get the tab activitated. Also browse CVS to the system > external administrator and check if the connection is active. You can get your VCS, directly from respective VCS Server backup by navigating to the maintenance > backup and restore
