WMP does not detect my IPOD

I got a Sansa e260 MP3 player before I got my IPOD. WMP had no problem detection and synchronization of songs to the MP3 device. Yet, when I connected my new IPOD Nano it has not detected the device. He said sound plugged in and it appears in the folder my computer. Only, it is not detected by my WMP. What should I do to get my WMP to detect my IPOD?

Hello

Check with iPod Support and Forums for more information if necessary.

-IPod support

http://www.EveryiPod.com/iPod-help/index.html

Set the MP3 MTP Mode for WMP sync - mode MSC to treat the MP3 as a reader.
(Now its set to MSC)

Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC which should allow the player to be used as an external drive
and PSG that is the parameter to use to sync with WMP. Remove the MP3 and restart the computer.
Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.

I hope this helps.

Windows media player cannot be used to sync the music to the IPod because it is not compatible.  ITunes is the program recommended for sync music to IPod. You can visit the manufacturer of device Web site to download ITunes.

  • WMP does not detect my device

My computer does detect my Smartphone, connected with cable USB, but WMP does not work.

When I connect with a cable USB, WMP says: "Connect a device", but it is already connected, because the computer has installed the necessary drivers and mounted 2 discs: F:\ and K:\.

Therefore, I can see these 2 discs and files inside and I can copy music, videos, etc... but I can not sync with WMP music.

I checked on other computers XP and W7 and it worked: my device has been detected and synchronization started. However, this does not happen in my W7 computer, where I have my library of music and Playlists.

I have to admit that synchronization has worked in my W7 computer up to aprox. 2 months ago. Since then, the changes are: Installation of the new version of Norton Internet Security and probably updates on W7 with update automatic Windows.

There has been a remarkable change on my phone: as I wanted to use an external SD card to increase MB used for music, I deleted all my music and playlists. Later, when you try to synchronize everything again once with my new SD card external WMP says: device is not connected :-(

Used WMP is version 12.0.7601.17514 on W7 Home Premium

    Your help will be welcome.

I disabled Norton Internet Security, without success.

However, I saw in another thread Windows community a solution that works for me too.

  • I can't sync my iPod to Windows Media Player. WMP does not recognize the iPod and I can't drag music files between them

My iPod is connected to the computer and it works fine with iTunes.  But I can't get the music in Windows Media Player to iPod.  When I try to sync in Windows Media Player, it does not recognize the iPod, and I can drag files from WMP to iTunes or the iPod.

You cannot synchronize an Apple product in itself using WMP, unless you buy a 3rd party. You must use iTunes.

  • does not detect external hard disk

    Hey guys

Recently I update my macbook pro (2014) in the sierra of mac os. Since then, my mac does not detect any external hard drive I plug in it even if these drives are detected by the PC and all the files inside. I tried to open utility disk where the hard drive is displayed but the 'volume' located below is gray. When I try to hit mount said volume that nothing happens. All I could do to fix this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi sgerolio,

I understand that you are unable to detect any external drive that you plug into your MacBook Pro, since you upgraded to macOS Sierra.  How many external hard drives work?  How they are formatted?   If formatted for PC, they would not necessarily be able to be read by a Mac.

You have a small empty external drive or USB key that you can test?  Formatted in Mac OS extended (journaled).  Using the Finder, you are able to see the external drive and drag a file to it?

  • Does not detect the hdmi cable more (very specific scenario)

    Well then...

Got a monitor 15-HD to hdmi cable and a mac laptop (13 in the retina).

So when I got all that I put it all together and it worked. I left because there a little bit, everything is plugged in and did not return for some time, so my mac fell asleep at the time wherever I went. Disconnected everything to relax on the couch. I went back and all plugged together again except that now the mac does not detect the cable. Tried a bunch of things with it. Restart, unplug the unit, detection manually, etc...

Since the monitor is used and recently purchased cable, I thought time to them to test first. Got a laptop PC and plugged into the cable. The monitor and cable worked.

Tried to connect my mac to the TV with my ps4′s hdmi since I did that a lot before. Also works.

The problem is literally the combination between the cable and the mac. Which is a problem since I got the reason was to serve as my mac.

During my research, I saw that specifically leaving the connected hdmi where sleeps your laptop can spoil it supposed to be... I saw it one time so idk if it's true, but it happened to me... and no, it wasn't really a solution when I came across that. Tried Googling this specific problem, but did not meet anything since my problem seems so specific.

Fast forward to the next day and tried again now that both had little respite between them. Plugged into the HDMI and my laptop starts fading and return to a black screen. The screen would go black usually and so the laptop screen and the monitor would appear once again. sauf_que this time that there not, he just kept it and the monitor has not changed (Yes) it's). Not wanting to let him do that too long I unplugged and tried a different port with an adapter, I have also, since I did 3 holes I could use this for might as well try them all again. But unfortunately, I don't have it trigger anything again. So I went through another round of troubleshooting to try to make it work, but here I am, trying to see if anyone else has had this problem and solved. I am back to wait another day I guess and just hope. If not idk what to do, except maybe to get another cable? I don't know if this would solve it well.

    Hello Kaida W,.

Thank you for reaching out to the Apple of community support. I'll do everything I can to help you get your monitor works as expected. • Windows does not recognize iPhone/iPod devices

I tried to add music to a new iTunes library to my iPhone on my pc when I accidentally pressed the notification "do not trust this computer."

I tried following the advice in this thread (removed the pilot): I accidentally hit "Do not trust" and now my iPhone won't sync to my computer. It won't ask me to trust him again even when I restart everything. Now what?

And now my computer does not recognize my iPod or my iPhone when I plug it into the USB ports. They don't even charge. I know with certainty that the problem comes from my pc because when I plugged them both in another pc, Lesmanteaux both able to connect to the computer/iTunes. I tried restarting both devices, tried resetting the location and privacy, by restarting the computer, even performed a system recovery.

When I go to "Devices and printers", the two devices are listed under Unspecified, Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, unknown category, troubleshooting needs (I tried that as well, when I do that it is said that all driver software is up-to-date)

Driver status: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

All my software is up to date (iPhone, iPod Nano, Itunes 12.1. (2. 27 64-bit)

Please help me, I've got a flight tomorrow and all I wanted was to upload music.

Have you tried using different USB ports? Try and see if it triggers the question "confidence." You can also give your iPod a restart is forced. Press the sleep and home for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver Apple, let go and let it reboot, then try again.

If this does not work you can try something a bit more drastic. That's a lot of time, but not horrible. I had to do a few times with my devices and my computer.

Try this, go to your control panel, add/remove programs.

Remove iTunes (you won't lose any content not the program, I've done a few times), Mobile Apple, Apple Application Support device driver.

For good measure, you can restart your computer just to remove the cobwebs.

Then come out and redownload iTunes and reinstall it.

Plug your iPod in and drivers must be reinstalled.

All of your old info should be there. I've never lost anything. Essentially to remove iTunes and drivers have to reinstall fees, which can remove the obstacle 'I don't trust you. "

Bought a new airport 1 TB TimeCapsule and I wanted to add to my existing via a WLAN network. It does not detect it and I can connect only via the LAN. What I am doing wrong?

Unfortunately, unable to connect to a 3rd time Capsule part wireless using a Wi - Fi.

You need to connect to the time Capsule to your existing modem/router using a wired Ethernet cable connection, permanent... like the Time Capsule Setup Guide illustrates.

If you really don't want the time Capsule to connect using the wireless... she can do... If it gets a signal to another Apple wireless router. So if you were ready to add another Apple... as an AirPort Extreme router... and connect it to your existing Ethernet cable router/modem and configure AirPort Extreme to broadcast a wireless signal... .then.. .the Time Capsule would be able to connect in this way, assuming that he is where he can receive a good quality of AirPort Extreme wireless signal.

The behavior you describe is normal - the HP Support Assistant is a program "per computer", in other words, each program HPSA lies and keeps track of just a computer on which the program is installed.
