WNDR3400v2 w/TWC on a map of 200 Mbit/s

I've recently updated to a 100 Mbps plan. I got a new Modem that is set for a concert. When I have the modem connected directly to my computer, I get 260Mbps/20. When I connect the modem, my speed is reduced to 96/20. TWC checked the connection and the modem and said all right, that the issue should be with the router. The literature with the router says it should be good for speeds of up to 300 Mbps. I must be missing a framework that opens the router to faster speeds. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the modem/router TWC, but found that I had this router that was good at 300Mbps. So I bought a 5370 Zoom modem and connected to the Netgear router. As I now pay $10 cheaper to rent not the router, I have improved the service from 100 Mbps to 200 layer at the same cost. I mentioned the above speeds. I need WiFi for my laptop and occasionally for a laptop, so the fine speedis it. But I wanted a faster speed of my computer. Can I put in a switch of some sort, or maybe a splitter to direct the speed between the modem and the computer and always have the router hooked up like that?

I was tasked to clean up a 8.2 (4) of 5510 running which has been migrated to a PIX a long time ago. In the research on the config, I don't know how these dyn cards are used. How these work and how can - I say if they actually are used? Thank you.

    Hi Icaruso,

Dynamic maps are used for remote access vpn connections from outside your protected network. If you do not have any user to remote access, and then you unhesistatingly can delete all dynamic maps and corresponding crypto acl. The acl in the case of dynamic map crypto don't make much sense as the default value is "the network remote access vpn client" unless the vpn or split-acl filter is defined. In any case, I doubt if many dynamic maps are used in your network, as in the case of normal use, it is only one.  Here is a link that you can refer to the remote access client configuration

  • I'm due for an upgrade?

    Greetings community,

I will have questions to my gears up to what I'm supposed to get wireless.

Let me start by saying a week before, everything was fine. I was on Verizon Fios 50/50 Mbit/s and I was getting pretty close to this reliable speed throughout the House.

Two things have changed: my ISP and the Modem.

My ISP is now TWC with the plan of 200 / 20 Mbit/s, and I bought my own (a Netgear CM600 cable modem).

I have a TC, A1355 (3rd generation) as the router. The TC and the Modem are in the office in a corner of the House.

I also have an Airport Express (2nd generation) to extend the wireless network (bridged mode) located in the heart of the House. It is also used for the audio Airplay through the home theater system.

I also have a second terminal Airport Express (1st gen) located in the children's play room, adjacent to the office. (Exaggeration?)

Currently I have my download speeds are fluctuating from 20 Mbit/s to 70 Mbps... except in the office, I can get up to 120.

After the TWC has been installed, I did a Factory Reset by default on all 3 airports and set up to start from scratch, starting with the TC and work my way down.

All three currencies are on Firmware version 7.6.4.

Any ideas on what I can try to improve the speeds throughout the House?

The 3rd generation TC would be the neck of the bottle?

What would be my best configuration?  (I also note that within the House are 4 iPhones 3 Apple TV, 2 iPad, MBP, an an XBox)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Brian

My wifi in the time Capsule was reduced by half when I got my bump at 300/20 on TWC. I get speeds much better on the 5 GHz band so I the 2.4, but it is still not nearly 300 down. I'm trying to understand if this is a limitation of the TC, or another problem altogether. By ethernet, I have almost 350 down. Like you, he is inconsistent depending on where I am in the House. I have a 5th gen Airport Extreme to carry the rest of the way wifi.

    This printer print on cardstock?

    Hi @Faye24,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you wonder if the printer HP Officejet 4632, can print on cardstock. I'm happy to answer that question for you!

Yes, this printer can print on cardstock. But only certain types, sizes and weight of cardstock. According to the specifications of the printer, it states:

    Paper type - maps
    Paper - 200 g/m2 weight (110 lb index max)

Paper tray (maximum capacity) - up to 20
    Output tray *-10

Sizes of cardstock and supported types are:

    Index - 76.2 x 127 mm (3 x 5 in)

    Index - 101.6 x 152 mm (4 x 6)

    Index - 127 x 203.2 mm (5 x 8 in)

    Japanese postcard - 100.1 x 148.1 mm (3,94 x 5.83 in)

  • CCNP 300 - 206 (SENSS) safety switch

    Hi all

Currently, I am studying for CCNP security 300-206 (SENSS).

I came across the following doubts. If they seem to be stupid & funny, I can't go to my car without posting here.

1 > what will happen if we give "Maximum authorized MAC 5" and 'Sticky MAC address' orders together under the same Interface?

2 > does DHCP Snooping Database table stores the NON-DHCP Clients(Lets say static) MAC & IP addresses?

3 > mechanisms made DHCP Snooping and dynamic ARP Inspection will work under the plain layer 2 only choose?

4 > can "Source Guard" stop rough APR, as the dynamic ARP Inspection packages?

5 > private VLAN interfaces can communicate with the primary VIRTUAL local Network Interfaces?

It may need little explanation - here's the scenario:

Suppose we have 100 primary VLAN, VLAN 300 community VLAN 200 and isolated.  And here's the interface assignment:

    GI Gi0/2, 0 / 1--> VLAN 100 primary

    GI Gi0/4, 0 / 3--> community VLAN 200

    GI 0/5, Gi0 / 6--> VLAN isolated 300

But we have converted only Gi0/1 in the Promiscuous Port and mapped VLAN 200 and 300 of VLAN.

    Can Gi 0/3, Gi0/4, Gi 0/5 & Gi0/6 contact GI 0/2?

    Could someone please help?

    Thanks in advance,

    Prasanna Kumar deully

    (1) port-security allows a single MAC by default. Post-it adds the learned address to the config and 'fixed' this address. If you change portsecurity to allow five addresses, then all these up to five addresses are added to the configuration.

    (2) No, if you use this table for other functions such as DAI or IPSG, you will need to define exceptions of static for systems without DHCP. Before you implement these features, I make sure that ideally all systems use DHCP. Cameras, printers, multifunction devices and so on. Many of them get bookings on the DHCP server, but they must use the DHCP protocol to do functions such as DAI and IPSG very.

    (3) what is a "simple layer 2 switch' for you? Today, the definition of Layer2 or Layer 3 defines how the device it is transmission. A Catalyst 2960 is generally used with Layer2 forwarding. But this does not mean that there is no function to look in the payload and to inspect the traffic up to the application layer. These functions are also available on the older Catalyst 2950 (initially there wasn't no DAI, but DHCP Snooping) and are now available on all switches access (catalyst).

    (4) function no, each has its own security function. DAI is to inspect the ARP-payload, IPSG is to inspect the source addresses.

    (5) don't know what you mean...

If Gi0/3-Gi0/6 are configured for private VLANs as shown, then they can communicate directly with Gi0/2. If they are not yet configured (I guess that's what you mean by "converts"), as they are probably members of a VLAN different and can communicate with Gi0/2 through a Layer 3 device.

  • X 3 on the A51 09 ALX crossfire

Hey guys and girls.  I have an Area-51 ALX 2009 with 1000w POWER supply.  I'm wanting to add a third graphics card for my crossfire Setup, but I'm not sure what I should do to get the connections necessary to it.  The card requires a 8 pin and a power connection 6 pin.  I have what appears to be a provision of 8 pins, but its very short and would need extensions if it can be used and I was wondering if an adapter is would be possible on the cd player power beam.  Thank you in advance, I really appreciate.  Here is my current configuration

    2009 area-51 ALX

    Stock MB w / Bios version 10

    Intel Xeon 5650 hexacore OC'd to 4.6

    Corsair H100i cooler

    Corsair Vengeance 12 GB RAM

    SSD 250 GB PNY

Lap times of 120 GB SSD

    Samsung 1 TB HARD drive

    No cd/dvd drive

I saw your post last month, I didn't answer you at the time, but I lost track of it, so I'll chime in today to this one. There are three power supplies stock of Area-51. The 1000 watts gets a video cable pair but cannot make use of the small connector your P3, P3 will be 'dead', no power to it:

1100 watt, as my old pictured below, can make the P3 go live, & I guess that all 1100watters have been shipped Black w / video extension cable that plugs into P3 (which has connectors are denominated p20 & p21); Therefore, the 1100watters would have got three video cables:

There are two 1200 watt models: J297R & VHM5V (aka KGTGV) chrism of Dell is under the impression that VHM5V is specified in the KGTGV Assembly global supply, IE psu + cart as a "meeting", or the Assembly KGTGV we have all heard about:

The Assembly KGTGV 'improved' food, was sold to the public as a way to run dual-590, dual-6990 or tri-6950. When I look to the top of the reqwirements of power for 6950, they are the maps of 200 watts. Three of them, we assume so are 600watts max.

Two models of 1200watters get four video cables: two from the fifth case (like your cables 1000w do) both emanate from the chassis of the PSU (welded to the internal card). Each cable, as you know, will be a (primary) 6pin with a 6 + 2 rider (2ndary). If you get x 4 6 p and x 4 6-2 in the overall scheme of 1200w, the combination of which I guess can all connect to the tri-6950.

Ok. #1 your 1000w PSU is incapable of sorting-280/280 x. not enough power, not enough cables.

#2 even if you do go to the PSU of VHM5V (currently available on eBay USA) 1200w, 280/280 x is listed as a map of 250 watts. I like to think that vhm5v is about maxed out with tri-6950 or "600watts":

    • Don't let not the 1200 watt nickname fool you, it is not 12 volt 1200watts
    • they are notated as 975watts 12 volt max, there where the video cable rails are assessed about 550watts, tops (46Amps--> 46A x 12V = 552watts)
    • They provide 550watts cards on rails video cable, the rest of 12 Volt is provided through the pci-e motherboard: example, a 6990 valued at 375watts; in general, 300w goes to the card by the cables, the other 75watts passes through the pci-e mthrbrd
    • If VHM5V can power dual-6990 or tri-6950, we assume 600watts is being discussed & it runs near or even above his side max

Radeon 280/280 x is a map of 250 watt; We assume that most of this 250w through cables, the percentage passes through the pci-e. In a world of sorting-6950 to 200watts x 3 or 6990 to 375w x 2 as the last installation known validated, I wonder if VHM5V can feed tri - 280 which are cards of 250w. We invite you to try & buy VHM5V on eBay or elsewhere online (bing/google VHM5V) (if you need y-splitters or buy an adapter that transforms a 6pin in a 6 + 2 etc so / them) & if we can't run your installation tri - 280... that psu will always have the value of resale... & you can resell it & leave it would seek you to an aftermarket power supply upgrade.

In addition, be advised, our motherboard x 58 stock may need a 12-volt power adapter called PowerBoost EVGA, in order to saturate the pci-e lanes with 12 volts, mentioned in these discussions:

(don't forget to check if the powerboost can fit into a slot pci in a tri-config, it seems all three cards would block the pci slot, how he is supposed to install into a pci slot, when executing the triple cards I don't know, maybe he can adapt, perhaps not, as it has been several years since I have read in this thread) :

    • Area-51 ALX, upgraded to AMD HD7990, thresholds of random power?
    • Increased power EVGA is recommended now for the config of your double-280, ok? It will benefit your cards your diet & your motherboard, as all three will not have to 'work' If hard for 12 volt get through the pci-e cards
    • Some motherboards are available w/a 'plug', usually a molex 4pin to help get 12v to maps
    • Area-51 R2 now uses a pci-e 8pin added plug to help get added 12v cards
    • EVGA Pwrboost is the same principle to your x 58 board stock, regardless of the number of cards

    The bottom line:

    • your 1000w won't cut it
    • Double-6990 was maps of 375 watt = 750watts / tri-280 = 750watts
    • You can be 1 owners trying to run 250 watts sorting cards
    • model 1200w can or may not work (& have y-split/adapters for the connex 6pin)
    • If it works it's an easy upgrade (just drag it in there), if it does not work it has resale value
    • Pwrboost may / may not correspond to a tri-config, but will certainly help you if he does & may be required
    • If you continue to use the stock x 58 Board w/all power, you want the powerboost increase 12v for video through the path of the pci cards, since the x 58 is known for the bottle neck
    • PowerBoost will need a molex/device extension to take power, normally sata/device main beam fueling DVDs etc.
    • If the 1200w model does not work, you are looking at a power supply of spare swap

Area-51 R1 has need "help wiring" in a spare power supply swap, namely an IO master craft edge 10pin cable & normally a 24pin atx extension. In my free time I make & sell psu 'swap kits' for Area-51. As said before, the Area-51 1200 watt psu stock is 1200watts name & can't compete w/a single 12-volt rail power supply which is designed to offer all 1200watts 12V ok? 1200w stock was cut to the top 12 volt rails in "multiple 12v power rails rated max 975watts & only so much of this 975w is delegated to the rails of the video cable, on 46amps or 550watts, okay? Sad but true.

    I currently offers a Nzxt Hale90 1200, XFX / Seasonic XM1 1250w, & Corsair ax1500i swap "kit":

I'll give the ax1200i Corsair limited again soon, when Corsair back in stock cable that I use for the material, which is May 18 or more (out of stock since Feb), so I'll have to ax1200i offered again in about 2 weeks. If you prefer, oh, an EVGA 1600 watt Gold/Platinum/titanium, or any other brand of power supply that I do not make or offer cables for, basically, buy you it, send me a selection of your new cables, I give you what you need & post put everything back in the same package, Pierrette?

Corsair Seasonic Platinum hx1200i Platinum 1200 candidates 1300w gold, these are acceptable EVGA among a few others.

Based on the fact 280 are 250 watt cards, most likely you would take VHM5V to its limit, & to be honest I doubt you want to your power supply to reach its limit: the boot it on the warmer, he runs the less effective, it becomes more juice, etc.. I had my VHM5V professionally tested on a load Tester, he scored an 80Plus silver side, but I probably invest in a power supply with guaranteed nine Platinum/titanium without age, on a used VHM5V which is now several years old as it is. A friend me up if you want to look into an exchange of power supply, because I make swap kits much more time / are planning to retire. If you are good with cables & wiring you can make your own harness of cables & mio of course, here is a useful guide:

    When asked if the stock 1200w / 975 watts 12v max power can run tri - 280 who could be responsible for each race to the max (all 750 watts, peak to the intense game power)--> I don't know<-- only="" one="" way="" to="" find="" out:="" buy="" one,="" put="" it="" in,="" try="" to="" install="" a="" pwrboost,="" see="" what="" happens.="" if="" not?="" sell="" it="" &="" go="" for="" a="" psu="" swap.="" an="" alternative? maybe="" sell="" the="" 280's="" &="" try dual-290x's,="" perhaps="" a="" solo-295="">

  • 4K Canon EOS5D Mark iv and EOS1DX Mark II video

    Hello

I can't play or correctly modify videos 4K of the EOS - 1DX Mark ii on my Mac. The images are wiped out as if it were 5 fps.

I have OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with 2.6 Ghz processor Intel Core i5, 16 GB of RAM, Intel Iris 1536 MB graphics card.

I usually play and edit 4 K Panasonic video with no problems.

Here, I tried the Canon 4 K MJPEG with Final Cut Pro X, Quicktime, VLC, video player Rocket and EOS Utility film without success.

The EOS - 1DX Mark ii as well as the EOS - 5 d Mark iv btw are not on cameras for Final Cut Pro X.

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204203

I also tried to play videos 4K 1DX - EOS Mark II on 5 different Mac and it has always failed. I tried on a Windows PC, and it worked.

Apple support told me that Canon codec is missing to play videos 4 K 1DX - EOS Mark II.

    Can you confirm?

What can I do without losing the quality 4K

You can search this forum for the camera model, but I think that you will get a faster response by visiting the Canon support forums, if they exist. If there is no available for Quicktime codec, you go through a conversion software, upstream of FCPX. The camera came with a way to move the motionjpg files to a Macintosh? Should have.

    http://www.newsshooter.com/2016/06/18/the-Canon-1DX-MKII-4k-video-DSLR-reviewed-par-Jon-Roemer /.

The X II 1 d produces very nice video 4 K, but there's a catch: capture 4 K is limited to Motion JPEG. Motion JPEG is a relatively inefficient compression method, especially compared to the codecs of H.264 - based, such as Canon XF - STROKE (which is still on the compact Canon XC10). It requires broadband which produce large files. As you can see in the table below, 4 K/30 p of record runs nearly 500 Mbps and 4 K/60 p manages nearly 800 Mbps. By comparison, Sony a7S II captures 4 K/p 30 to 50-100 Mbps and the Panasonic GH4 is 100-200 Mbit/s.

But what about the 4 K?

The biggest upgrade in spec video camera is the addition of 4K film but, curiously, this can only be captured by using Motion JPEG format and the greater-than-16:9 DCI 4 K (4096 x 2160 pixel) aspect ratio. Two of these choices seem odd: all - I have H.264 compression, the camera uses to its 1080 images would be a more effective choice of codec and UHD 4K 16:9 flavor is better suited to certain applications.

However, with the capture of 4 K, the 1 d X II includes tools to capture 8.8MP frameworks of its 4 K files: how the decision to save each image as an individual JPEG is a bit more logical. Wedding shooters could even use this feature for document receptions in complete silence: despite the 1 D X II wins a continuous silent drive like the 5 d/R mode, it isn't all that silent.

The 1 d X II also won a headphone jack, which is important for the monitoring of noise levels during video recording.

  • the Airport extreme, giving a slow wifi connection

    Hello

I've got my download speed of 200 Mbps cable company. I checked a good signal by plugging directly in he back of the Modem (to remove the photo Airport extreme wifi.) ... I have 221Mbps actually...

However, once I'm going to plug in the Airport Extreme and text my speed on wifi, I get only between 24 Mbps or max after several trials of 54 Mbps on download... I should get just under 200 Mbit/s because of the normal fall through wifi... However, not to the extreme I loss I get...

Tuesday Apple Support has helped me to perform a reboot of the router and I have been good to get 198Mbps... It is here 2 days later and I'm back down to 24 Mbps...

I tried to redo the reboot: unplug the unit, hold down the reset button, then while holding down the reset button, add power on and continue now stuck until it flashes yellow... But curiously, after it flashes it goes straight to the green... (never asking me to airport utility to add a password)

    My Wifi speed stink...

What continues with this device... anyone have recommendations?

I already proved the cable line and the modem (with the support of motorola)...

    Thank you

Most likely you have a faulty AirPort Extreme. Please ask Apple to replace this unit for you.

If you wish to renew a reset, follow the instructions very carefully:

    Turning off AirPort Extreme

    Wait 7 - 8 seconds

Hold the first reset button... and hold in an additional 7 to 8 seconds while simultaneously you reconnect the power on the AirPort Extreme.

Release the reset button to zero after the period of detention

Allow a minute for the AirPort Extreme restart. The light will be Orange fixed for 15-20 seconds about, then turn to flashing orange slowly after about 30 seconds

A slow amber flashing light... about once per second... confirms that the airport has been reset and you can set it up again.

  • NB305 and SSD

I recently bought a NB305 for professional use (need for portability and battery life)

I have a question about. I would like to install a 128 GB Kingston SSDNow V-Series Disc both improve performance and independence.

My questions are, will this work SSD made?

It will give me a decent increase in performance? (the SSD in my office are wonderful)

It will improve the battery life?

The reason why I ask what should otherwise be easy to answer the questions, is that specific data for the HDD and SSD cards are as follows:

Hitachi HTS545025B9A300 (5K 500. (B) icurrently in my laptop drive:
    Power plug: writing/power 1.4W
    0.5W low idle power
    875 Mbps (109.38MBps)

    Kingston SSD now V Series SNV125-S2 / 128GB 2.5 ":"
Active power Specs: 5.2 w (TYP)
    Sleep: 0.7W (TYP)
    Sequential speed *.
    ~ 1600Mbps (200 Mbit/s). read; 160 MB/sec writing.

Now look at that the SSD is much faster, but seems to come at a cost: she uses more than 3 times the power!

Can it be good? (and same idle is higher!)

The numbers in a row are the Web sites of respective manufacturers / PDF files so you would think that they would be fairly accurate.

Of course, the SSD almost twice as fast - but "apparently" uses more than three times the power!

I look forward to any thoughts.

    See you soon,.
    Rick

    > My questions are, will this work SSD made?
Why not? SSDS are no different from hard drives, I think you will need a SATA SSD since the NB300 series supports a SATA HDD controller

    > It will give me a decent increase in performance?
Well, access to data should be faster and therefore you should see better performance but to be honest, the NB300 is a notebook where these small performance increases would not really important

    > Improve the battery life?
Hmm perhaps but if yes then an improvement is not really noticeable since the disk HARD is not the main part which wastes the energy of the battery

  • New AirPort Extreme and 802.11ac configuration

    Greetings,

I'll install a new new AirPort Extreme instead of my old Time Capsule gen1.

Like many people here, I have a combination of features b/g, n and ca.  I want to make sure my end of 2013 iMac connects optimally via ac.  It is in the line of fire of the new router in 25', so it should be in a good location, if all goes well.

My question is if I have to just put up an SSID and let devices their own switching group; or experienced here people recommend a SSID separated for the strip of the 5 GHz for ac and n devices?

    Thank you!

    Dave

    Start with normal default values.

That is to say the band permutation is left to the Mac and SSID is the same on both bands.

If you then find that the Mac makes the wrong choice... a real possibility. And it's important for you... Then assign the SSID on 5 GHz a different name.

217Mbps is expected to reach a speed at 2.4 ghz and which probably exceeds the speed of your internet with a margin far... (you need at least 2 x the speed of wireless internet to follow, IE if internet is 100 Mbps Wireless should be 200 Mbit/s at least because of half duplex wireless nature). If you have several items that some should be forced to 5 GHz, which can control...

  • Weak WIFI signal

Hi, am currently using an HP Pavilion 2307tx g6 but get really weak wifi signal in my room. Only able to get about 2-3 bars every time while my other laptop can go up to full bars.

Any help/solution would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Forum, Rascal.

Discussion on the theme of the power of the Signal

Buffaloes by themselves may be a little empty of meaning, UNLESS you can interpret the definition of what each 'bar' says.

Signals are affected by the type of router you have - routers are NOT equal.

    • The cheapest router can not not the support required for the performance of your computer's wireless card.

Example: An older router that only supports 802.11 g will not provide faster than 54Mbps - even if you have the best card you can buy in your computer.

    • The opposite can be true as well - a good router cannot provide a better service than the computer's wireless can support.

Example: If the card in your computer is 802.11 g, so even if you have a router capable of speeds of more than 300 Mbps, you can get only 54 Mbps.

Speed and autonomy are limited by the link in the chain.

    • 802.11n is faster than the 'g', but it can also be slowed by the walls, the furniture in metal and other obstructions.
    • Move your equipment, even a few inches, could make the difference to a router 802.11 g

    AND

    • The same might be true for a 802.11n router that has a small antenna (low power)
    • Antennas in routers are NOT equal.  Small antennas in routers fantasies can still match a whimpy router.  You want a router with a 5db antenna 7db (or better if they make these by the time you read this).

Assuming you bought the biggest, baddest, best wireless available for your computer, then you may need to upgrade your router.

    Strength vs. Signal bars

Bars can indicate how things are moving along, or they can cloud the issue - depends on the "bars": which generates the bars, the sensitivity are the bars and you can do a lot in a bar anyway?

You can use another measure: the traction measured in percentages, detection and Signal type:

  • Airport Express 5 GHz network speed

    Hello

I have a 200 Mbps service, obviously connected via Ethernet, the ISP told me that their modem was not argued that the wireless speed, they suggested me to purchase an Airport Express station (I did), I'm not having that speed yet, they told me that maybe it was because the Airport Express Terminal was not connected via a CAT6 cable (which perhaps it is true because it was an old cable LAN) , but read a lot of discussion, I fear I won't get it this speed even with a CAT6 cable, I can't return my Airport Express (Mexico political Service suck) and get an Airport Extreme, then:

I'm preparing here? I can't 200Mbps wireless with an Airport Express Terminal? What you suggest me to do? (Purchase am than airport Extreme is not an option right now $$$)

PS I'm so afraid Bob Timmons brings me bad news

    Thank you

    Miguel

Sorry, but it's not really important that you use CAT5 or CAT6 wiring as the Ethernet on the AirPort Express ports are limited to 100 Mbps. You never reach 200 Mbit/s that your ISP provides to you. The AirPort Extreme, has on the other hand, all Ethernet 1 Gbps ports.

  • R8000 Nighthawk X 6 AC3200 receives only half of internet speed

    Hello guys,.

So here I am with my weird question. My router removes just a half bandwidth (download only) after 24 hours. Let me explain. My ips hit my bandwidth to 200 Mbit/s/30mbps of 20/100. After running several speed tests, I only got 100 / 30. Reset modem and router, finnally back 200/30 but the next day at 100/30... Even with modem/router reset could not get bandwidth back to normal. So I decided to roll back the firmware version for initial and see what I get. Take a look at these photos taken yesterday evening after the cancellation of the firmware:

Thought that I fixed my problem! But tonight... after coming home from work...

No question on a lot of time, I run the speed test, of the same... Even through speedtest.net. Cannot retrieve my bandwidth. If I reset the modem and connect directly to it tho, I get full bandwidth!

Let me give you some details on my router settings:

Firmware: 1.0.0.46 (updated in a moment tho as long as the problem persists)

Off of WMM: I forgot to specify - this fixed the issue the first time a week ago.

    MTU = 1500 (1300-1400-1450 unsuccessully tried)

    The Internet port statistics:

    Anyone with an idea?

    Thanks a lot guys!

replace the cable between the modem and the WAN port on the router SHOULD connect @ 1000 m

don't get me wrong WMM must be enabled for WIFI

  • Speed max r7000 (300mbps?) problems

    Hello

I tried Googling the shit out of this problem, play with the settings, ask reddit help, chat with a tech support person and nothing seems to have solved my problem.

I had a lot of trouble getting decent LAN on my network speed. I couldn't go beyond 200 Mbit/s. I finally so I'm averaging around ~ 275mbps on my network through a LOT of tinkering.

Now, it seems that the biggest limitation that I have is with the router itself. Using scanner wifi acrylic, it continues to show that my 5 GHz network only has a maximum speed of 300 Mbps. My settings are on channel 161, with "up to 1300mbps' selected. My 2.4 ghz shows 214mbps on the same network scan. I tried different channels, I tried to go down "up to 600mbps" and go back to 1300mbps no claim. I turned WMM on and outside. The connection on my test machine shows a maximum speed of 867mbps for the card wifi itself.

I've been contemplating going to dd - wrt to see if I can play with the frequency range to see if that's the problem. Y at - it a setting or all that I need to try that I'm missing? Thank you...

Oh, and I have flashed and reflashed the firmware, reset settings, etc., so...

Update: apparently the problem with acrylic. I downloaded a different wifi scanner and see it 1300mbps. So I'm probably more limited by my adapter. So if someone else had the same problem, it was a superficial problem. I hope that I'll be satisfied ~ average 250mbps rates, hehe

  • Pavilion dv7-4180us: dv7-4180us wifi upgrade

My dv7-4180us has a Broadcom Minipci wifi card bgn and gets only 72 Mbps on my home network. I am running agn + ac on my network. I understand that the wifi options are limited by the white list in the BIOS. I've probably lap by going with a USB adapter, but I would have preferred an intern. I have a Dell E6500 with Intel Centrino 5100 card that connects to 150-200 Mbit/s and I would be happy with this speed on the dv7. Which wifi compatible cards for my dv7 will give you the best performance of wifi? I was going to get the Intel Centrino 1000, but it tops out at 150 Mbps, which is also claimed max for the Broadcom card I already have.

In fact, my computer BIOS is dated in 2011.

Looks like my best bet is one of them:

    Intel Centrino 1000 802.11b/g/n WLAN module 593530-001

    4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module 582564-001

The two are alleged to be 802.11n MIMO 1 x 2 with connection speed up to 300 Mbps.

I just bought the Intel 1000 for $6.00 + free shipping. DV7-4000 series system a traction. Even if this does not work I am not much.

    Thanks for the reply.
