WNR2000 listed in network infrastructure, but why?

under network infrastructure is wrt54gs and wnr2000 lists. I use the linksys wrt54g, but the Netgear wnr2000 shouldn't be there. About netgear anywhere on my network when I try to configure it wants a rod of 8 numbers that obviously don't have. This is one of my neighbors hanging in my wireless phone? If so, how can I block the?

Hi Travyj,

Your network is simply show other networks available in the range. Nobody's trying to access your network resources.

We recommend that you first of all to you cross check whether all incoming connections are allowed on your network connections. To do this, try the following steps.
1. open network connections by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, click Network and sharing Center then click on manage network connections.
2. uncheck the 'Accept incoming connection' to turn it off.
3. apply the changes and check the difference.

    Hi all!

I have weird problem and I hope some of you can enlighten us if necessary.

    The background:

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2.   One day, I installed an application proxy - ProxyCap - as a free trial for 30 days.  The application installed a few dll Winsock provider.  After the 30 day trial, I uninstalled the app.  Then the problems started.  Even if the application proxy has been disabled, regular internet links have been completely normal and not affected.  It was only after uninstalling the app that I have problems.

    The problem:

    • The computer is unable to connect one more to any website using the browser.
    • My local network seems to be fully functional, which involves a problem of setting the software.  I say that my LAN is functional if I am going to sign--> Network and Sharing Center--> view status and look under the "Activity" section, I see the link send and receive packets without problem.
    • If I go into control panel of--> Network and Sharing Center--> view status of--> diagnosis, I get the message: "cannot communicate with DNS Server (xxx.xx.xxx.xxx) Network Diagnostics ping to the remote host, but has not received a response."
    • Indeed, if go to start--> cmd and ping my DNS server, I get a general failure for all 4 packets sent.
    • However, I am able to ping my localhost to 127.0.0.1

    My settings:

    • My ipconfig/all output: http://pastebin.com/Ksn2k2ja
    • DHCP is enabled.
    • For the properties of connection LAN--> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)--> properties, I 'IP automatically get an address' and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" selected.
    • The same goes for--> Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)--> properties.
    • The Sysinternal autoruns--> tab providers Winsock application, tells me that I have the "Hello Namespace Provider' active as a WinSock2 registry entry. What I tried:

    • I tried to reset Winsock for Vista by clicking Start--> cmd and type netsh winsock reset , and restart the computer.
    • I tried to reset the TCP/IP stack by clicking Start--> cmd and type netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt and restart the computer.
    • Restart my router.
    • Deactivation and activation then my connection to the local network.

Thank you all for helping me with my problem.  I would be happy to provide more information as needed.  Thanks for the research and thanks offering solutions.

    See you soon!

    Hi all!

I contacted ProxyCap and support staff has been able to solve the problem.

Apparently, one of my entries in registry Winsock2 (Winsock2, Namespace Catalog5, 5 catalog entries) has been disabled somehow, uninstalling or in my first attempts to address issues after uninstall.

Thanks to ProxyCap and for other people who have tried to help.

    ~ Congratulations ~.

  • Why are there two routers listed in the Network Infrastructure?

I have a Linksys WRT54G2 router, but sometimes when I look at my network in the control panel it shows an extra router, that router ghost appears in the title of the Network Infrastructure. It's a WRT160N. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't.

    I have Windows 7.

Why this is part of my network? Should I be worried? How can I stop it arise?

    Hey DavidVX,

I found a few other similar topics you can check below:
On a thread, the user was able to match the MAC address of the window of the Network Infrastructure to an open wireless network (unprotected) nearby. This seems to be the case for multiple threads, I found elsewhere on the internet.
Given that I have found so many other similar threads on the same issue, I would consider it is safe and I would just ignore it.
If I find a solution to them, I'll let you know!

  • Why do they detect Router 1 neighbor in my WIFI network infrastructure

Why do they detect Router 1 neighbor in my WIFI network infrastructure?

    Hi Noel,

I detect 4 myself.  This is because your WIFI is set to detect the transmissions and this router is powerful enough to join and be detected.  In theory, if it is not secure you can hack illegally their connection - but it is a way of a street.  Just because you see does not mean them they can see yours, nor that this means that they have access to your system.

Now, if your router is not secure (and you certainly must do if it is not already the case since if you capture the transmissions there is a chance they can capture your and possibly access to your network - as someone just driving by in a car or on foot near your home with a WIFI enabled computer) so it's a different story but then there are different and would not appear as an option connection, but rather as someone literally connected.

As you were not very specific, I assume you mean the first paragraph.  If you really mean the second, then please set your router immediately.  If it is already fixed, then change all passwords and see if that solves the problem.  If this isn't the case, then back and we say more and we will refer you to people who can help.  Please indicate your version of Windows, your network setup, and exactly what you mean (specifically, where exactly are detect you).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Why the Personal Hotspot from my mobile phone appears in my list of list wifi networks if it is disabled on my phone?

On my iMac, there is an icon for a list of available to join Wifi networks.

One of these Wifi networks is my iPhone Personal Hotspot.

However when I look at my setup on my iPhone Personal Hotspot is off.

I tried to join the Hotspot to my iMac and put.

This is part of a feature called Hotspot instantly. It allows you to connect to your personal hotspot without your password or activate the hotspot on your phone. Don't worry, this does not allow other people to access your hotspot, only devices using the same identifier Apple will see your hotspot. This feature is not using any extra battery life when you're not connected to it. You can learn more about instant Hotspot here: OS X Yosemite: connect to the Internet using instant Hotspot

  • Unknown to router in the Network Infrastructure

    Hello

There is a unknown router which is not mine not appearing in the Network Infrastructure.

I understand why it show up under available wireless networks. But not the network infrastructure.

OK so I would like to know what criteria determines why a router is listed in the network infrastructure... and how to get rid of him?

Why is windows 7 this? It makes no sense at all...

Can't really answer. I can only say that turning on the Details view for the page shows that the alien router isn't listed in my network location. A network infrastructure device is that in theory I 'could' connect to research a little further into the router configs (properties because it gives model, series No, MAC address and unique identifier #) indicates that the owner has set up to use WiFi Protected Setup to allow wireless devices to connect (requiring a fixed number of pine).  So, if I had the PIN to the router, I was able to connect to its network. Maybe that's why it appears. If your mystery router is configured in the same way, this could be a further indication as to why these routers being listed in the title of the Network Infrastructure while all other neighboring routers are not.

  • UBEE access point appear on my network infrastructure

He appears next to my linksys router.  I have a unique ssid as access key.  Disseminate wpa2 disabled and use.  This UbeeAP is right next to my router.  He has a mac address that does not match all the devices I own.

I was wondering if it's a router of neighbors, as I have a lot of nearby wireless networks.  However, why would he appear in my network infrastructure?

    How can I correct/fix this?

I did see a lot of these things and have no problem here.  I decided to see my services running and noticed that my shared internet connection setting has been activated.  I disabled it, and finally, he went away and has not reappeared now all day.  Don't know what that means, but it seems to have worked.  The question mark in my network card have also disappeared.  I hope this will help others with this annoying problem.

  • The network infrastructure for a stand-alone server or a Cluster Network Infrastructure?

    Hello

I want to install a single instance database and I want to use ASM.

My setup is now just one node but in the future probably it evolve on several nodes.

So, can I use the Network Infrastructure for a Cluster to a single node, or I have to use a stand-alone server network infrastructure?

    Concerning

If you later plan ro use more than one server to install the cluster network infrastructure. It is possible to install on a server.

  • ASM Configuration prior to installation of Network Infrastructure

    Hello

I want to install a network infrastructure for a stand-alone server 12 c on a virtual machine, it is a first installation, no front installed Oracle software.

My problem is on the third screen of the Installer (create the ASM disk group), I can't view the ASM disks and the preinstallation process is not clear to me.

I defined the systems files/U02, /u03, /u04 and /u05 with the oradata and recovery_area directories (oracle: oinstall) for each /u0 * and I want to use them with the DSO.

I installed the oracleasm-support and oracleasmlib packages, I executed oracleasm configure with parameters of dba (Group) and oracle (user).

Question 1: I need to run init oracleasm (with default settings) to create the/dev/oracleasm before launching the installer of the grid?

Question 2: I run oracleasm createdisk before launching the installer of the grid?

    Question 3: What is the proper syntax for the parameter createdisk command 2nd (/ u02, / dev/map/VG_ORA-lv_u02, / u02/oradata,...)?

    Thank you

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,.

There is a lot of confusion here.

ASM is just another Manager file system offering you a more simple and flexible LUN management. Basically, you choose to transfer your database in the file system (/ u01, / U02, oradata, recovery_area) OR if you choose to use the DSO. If you choose to use the DSO, you must create the ASM diskgroup before installing your database. As you mentioned as part of the installation you need to 'discover' the ASM disks and create the first disk group where the DSO Server settings file is kept.

To do this you have need of screening to the ASM one or more LUNS that are owner by user oracle. Lets assume you want to create two groups of DATA and FRA disks and make your databsae to use. If you use a virtual machine, you need to create more than two disks. Once you do that you have to idetify them, they will be discovered under/dev/sdX. On the same, you must create a partition to fill the entire disc (fdisk/dev/sdX, n for new, p for primary school, 1 to the first disk, and then you press ENTER twice, finally w for write). Finally, you need to make the new owner devides/dev/sdX1 by oracle (oracle: oinstall/dev/sdX1 chown).

At this point, you should go back to the installer and change the string of disc asm/dev/SD * 1, this will make ASM read all the first partition of all the/dev/disks in sd. Then, you select the disks that you want to use for the default disk group. This can be repeated for the rest of the disk group you want to create using asmca (asm Setup Wizard) or simply using SQL command.

oracleasm is the ASMLib that was used as a layer of abstraction to make sure that the device files will always have the correct permissions. Nowadays, making using udev as follows:

    Cat > /etc/udev/rules.d/99-oracle-asm.rules

SUBSYSTEM is 'block', KERNEL is "sdf1", NAME = "asm_data01_disk1", OWNER: 'oracle', GROUP =: = 'dba', MODE: = "660".

When you start this matches the device to/dev/sdf1 file and create an other device file under/dev/asm_data01_disk1 with permissions oracle: dba

Hope this helps, but it's just too much information.

    Kind regards

  • Retrieve the list of networks of the Org of the org of system

    Nice day

I hope someone can help me here. I'm trying to retrieve a list of Org networks in an org while it is connected to the org of system and using the vclquery service. My current code is lower, it can find the list of the ent, but struggled to convert them to OrgNetworks of AdminOrgNetworks.

  • Install a network infrastructure for a single-node Windows Server cluster

    Hello

Can you suggest me how to install a single-node RAC Oracle 11 g on a Windows Server 2008 x 64-bit? It's for testing purposes and I do not need two nodes. I know that Linux is better, but my company uses only Windows servers. Our former consultant has been able to do, but doesn't tell us how to, this server has been lost.

I know that to install the first grid Infrastructure. Run the installation program "Oracle Grid Infrastructure", I could install a "Grid Infrastructure for a stand-alone server" successfully. But this Grill is not a RAC database. When you try to install the database software, which is available to me to install only "single-instance database", not "Real Application Cluster installation".

Run the installation program "Oracle Grid Infrastructure", I have tried select the option:
'Install and configure a Cluster Network Infrastructure'-> typical Installation:
The name of the SCAN: SRVORAC-cluster
    Validation of ANALYSIS information
INS-40922 SCAN invalid name - insoluble in IP address.

Is it possible to install a network infrastructure for a cluster to a single node or a node on Windows Server?

    Published by: user521219 on January 30, 2012 12:46

    Hello
You probably misunderstanding about single-node RAC. This feature didn't need that you have only one physical machine in a RAC, this in fact means that in a CCR environment (2 or more nodes), you can run your database on a single node (single instance), and then later you can move this single instance to another node of the RAC (so that you can make some fixes on this node making your database available all the time). It also has a few other advantages, see below.

  • Problem on installing network infrastructure - SCAN name and IP addresses

    People,

    Hello.
I was installing RAC Oracle Database 11 g 2 system with 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2) in 3 VMPlayer.

I set up ASM. Now, I want to install the network infrastructure for rac1 and rac2 using runInstaller.

I type in 'rac-cluster' in the name of SCANNING box in the wizard.
According to my understanding, SCAN IP addresses are used to connect to the shared database. 3 IPs SCAN for shared rac1, rac2 and DB are automatically assigned during the installation of the network infrastructure. I need not specify IP SCAN 3 addresses in the file/etc/hosts.

But when installing on step 3 of 8 grid infrastructure, the wizard appear this error message:

"Invalid name SCAN - insoluble in IP address. SCAN name: rac-cluster cannot be resolved. »

Any folk that understand how to solve the problem above (name SCAN & IPs) on step 3 of 8?

    Thank you.

    Hello

YES requires the SCAN name. SCAN name is the host name.
Without DNS, you can set the name of the SCAN on the file/etc/hosts.

The hosts file can resolve the IP address only 1 for 1 hostname.
Specify a SCAN name on your file hosts of two nodes (same IP address).
And only one resource SCAN VIP will be created.

    ex.
    $ grep rac-cluster/etc/hosts
    192.168.1.100 rac-cluster
    * the two node address

And specify 'rac-cluster' on the name SCAN of YES.

    Good luck.
