won't import the photoshop PSD 1.5 g

I know that Lightroom does not matter the PSB files but it comes from a PSD which isn't 1.5 G (2 g) and Lightroom import another file is the same size of file in all respects.

Lightroom says that the file is too large?

Any idea?

Thank you

G.

PS - I work on the new iMac, with upgrade of processor and graphics card and have installed 32Gigs of ram

What is the exact error message, letter letter, and exactly when does it appear?

LR imposes the following requirements:

-All images must be not more than 65,000 pixels on a side.

-The total number of pixels (width x height) must be less than 512 million (for example 22 627 x 22 627).

-The PSD must be the bit depth of 8 or 16, not 32.

-PSD with multiple layers must have been first registered with the option maximize PSD and PSB file compatibility turned on. (Note that turning on the option after the file has been saved will have no effect, even if you re - save the file.)

It's weird. Try to import a PSD file. Message body cs6 error is "we were unable to open the file on the disk."

The file is a fixed image that came to me as a JPG. I've read it in Photoshop cs6, cropped it, because the canvas 1920 x 1080 (to match the size of the sequence of the organism), tinkered and ended by running the action of course broadcast on this subject Luminance. Then I saved it in the body as a project folder *. PSD file. As I did hundreds of times now with dozens of projects.

Attends agency cs6. Find the file using media browser. File... Import media browser gives me a window with the error message "We cannot open the file on the disk." Preview the Source monitor fails.

What makes this even more frustrating, it is that the organization can find and open the file that I worked on just before this one. Same conditions, same process, same repertoire, same protections on files (I checked that). Two files seem to be exactly the same except for the file name and the content of the file. Everything else is also identical to that I can do. And none of my hard drives are even half full, so it shouldn't be a question of space.

So if the organization can read one, why can't he read the other? And what I can do to get the Organization to behave correctly and read the file? Files do not appear to be corrupt - Photoshop can read them both very well. In any case, I've recreated the problem from the source repeatedly *.jpg file now so I think I can exclude from Photoshop file corruption on. Perhaps.

I ruined my brain for 90 minutes trying to understand what has changed between the first file that works and one that doesn't. I came up empty. I worked on one, then the other, then imported the first on body (which worked), and then imported from the other in the body (which failed). Exact same source (both files were attachments on e-mail even *.jpg), same workflow, saved in the same directory. ARGHHHH!

I did most of the 'usual suspects '. I left off Photoshop both body and restarted. I saved the file problem in other formats (same error no matter what format). So, I turned to Teh Google, that does not turn a large part that relates. Could not find anything in the Adobe Help documentation. So everyone here tell me what is happening?

Few things to check - is the color of the RGB PSD Mode. It cannot be CMYK, or some other.

I had problems with dynamic objects, because sometimes, they import all right, but not always.

Layers of tiny (a few pixels x pixels) were causing problems.

Adjustment layers have been known to cause problems.

Normal layers, so long not tiny, always worked perfectly for me.

Anything else that comes to my mind, but good luck.

  • filter for all the Photoshop PSD

I created a collection of photos of various files, but now I want to filter them so that I can only see the PSD files.  But this isn't an option in the drop-down filter.  How can I do this?

Yes. Use metadata as the filter, and then select 'File Type' in the first column.

  • Import Layered PhotoShop in After Effects

I am under PhotoShop CS5 and After Effects CS5 on Windows 64-bit machine. I want to import a layered PhotoShop file and keep the layers so I can animate the separated elements. Sometimes, everything works fine and I get the PS icon waited in the timeline panel for each layer. But sometimes, everything done exactly the same thing, I get a funny icon on the left (RGB?) and the bounding box of each layer is the size of the model with the anchor point in the middle of the model. The layers are not cut to the limits of the content. The color of the chronology for each layer is green instead of blue. What is going on?

File > import file... Import kind > composition - keep the sizes of layer.

    after_effects_pslayers_01.jpgafter_effects_pslayers_02.jpg

The problem is caused by importing a Photoshop file with the sequence checked Photoshop laminate, then click on import in the form of composition. I made a short video to show the difference when you import the same file with two different settings. The problem you will have, is that the images won't be long 2 images.

It is however a work around this problem if you are engaged in the project loan. First solution, re - import the same PSD file with the correct settings, and then replace the image in each layer. Second, select all layers, then go to layer > time and apply time remapping for each layer, then spread the layer.

  • "Place" command won't why put another PSD precisely?

    Hello. I use Photoshop CS6.

I have a question about photoshop order Place. (File-Place).

Here are some photos below. Please see them. It shows the problem.

I open the PSD file that has a green circle (photo 1) and using the import command to import the other PSD files that has a circle (picture2) red. These 2 PSD files are same size, same canvas size, 1024 x 1024. For this reason he should place the red circle exactly on the green circle, but as you can see, if I import a red circle PSD PSD green circle, order place place the red circle thoughtfully on the green circle. There is a gap between the 2 circles. (Photo3) It's really frustrating, because I have to move the Red round layer manually to place right on the green circle.

This 'Place' command is not reliable, so usually I don't use this command and use the layer duplicate the layer or group to import content from another PSD, but if the place command can import other PSD files without this problem of the gap, I'll use it because it is much faster than the duplication.

Do you know why and how to put these 2 files without the gap? Is this a bug? I shouldn't use Place command to import the other PSD files?  Thank you in advance.

Press Cmd / Ctrl + A (select all) in the main document, and then do the place.

  • AE CS4 cannot import the .psd as cropped layers or composition

Anyone know the answer to that, I've never had this problem with the old version of AE.

I know I'm doing this right I did it a thousand times.

I have a psd file with 5 layers with need to be lively, but when I import into AE either as a model or cropped layer it won't give me the rasterized image. Help!

What color is the PSD file in?

Of the "Preparation and import Photoshop files" section of After Effects help:

"Layered Photoshop (PSD) files should be saved in RGB color mode or grayscale for After Effects to import as a composition and to separate the layers.  Color CMYK, LAB, Duotone, monotonous and trichromes modes are not supported for multilayer files; After Effects will import a file that uses one of these as a single flattened image color modes. »

I'm not an apple person.  I read on a few different forums that apple has changed what is called 'writing' in a recent update to apple.  You may need to find an Apple expert to show you how to make sure you are allowed to write to files or locations on your computer.

Definitely. You need the version 5.7, which is only for CS4.

You need a DNG Converter, but since you're running XP, it will be the 8.3 DNG Converter

Photoshop elements has never had to file > import > video frames to layers.

At the same time, until the versions a little backward, there is file > import > frame of video, but it was only able to make a frame at a time and the service has since been removed from photoshop elements.

Photoshop and photoshop elements are two different applications, photoshop elements is an application based on photoshop, but with less advanced features.

  • How to use the railways imported from Photoshop/Illustrator as guides of movement

    Hi people,

I was raking the internet unsuccessfully for an answer to my question, but I had no luck so far.

I hope realize animation wise is to have a form to move a path together created in Photoshop. The reason is, it is a very specific form (close enough a square but with curved corners and a piece missing on one side), and I used the path feature in Photoshop to create and the path for the smoothest possible effect of race. What I would ideally like to, it's the same way I used to create the shape in Flash Professional CS6 and then use this same path to guide a small symbol on the perimeter of the place of import.

So far, I worked on how to apply the movement to a symbol through interpolations of base, then I can draw a line with the pencil tool and which apply to the interpolation it follow the trace in pencil instead of just get from point A to point B. The problem is, it's horrible... I'm not good enough with a mouse to create absolutely perfect freehand shapes, so I just want to be able to use the path of Photoshop as my guide of movement instead of having to make a new one from scratch.

I looked around many import methods, the greatest success I have had is export paths to Illustrator file, and then import the Illustrator file into Flash directly. However, I have NO idea where these paths to go when they are imported, or how to access. If I import them to the scene, they apparently disappear before I've even seen them, and if I import them into the library that they just aren't there.

I could also make a brief description of the operation of railways in Flash - me are familiar with the presentation of Photoshop, what with the paths that appear in a panel beside the layers one (perfect me seems logical, because you can simply switch between the two panels to see what you want). I do not understand how they work in Flash and what should I look for...

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

    Todd

I just did a quick test to see what the problem might be. It seems that import a schema from Photoshop into Flash converted to a movieClip. If I have to break the movieClip I just get a fill without line. Unfortunately, this fill will not work as a guide. I could use the tool in Flash pen and draw a new line in a new layer, but that's what you try to avoid having to do.

If I take a path in a Photoshop file saved in Illustrator, I can fondle then the path and then save as .ai file. So I can import into Flash. This any path is recognized as an online Flash and will work as a path. You may need to do a cleaning of the line. My quick example were too many points inside.

The guide should be done in one line item in Flash. A movieClip cannot be a pathname. Most often, the path is taken directly from the State with the pencil tool.

  • After effects error: the Photoshop file format error (- 1). (45: 35)

After Effects worked PERFECTLY for me earlier today. Now, he won't cooperate.
I only use AE to correct the colors and the rendering/export short sequences to use first or Final Cut...
Im working with DNG that have been converted from MLV files, sequences (I use the video hack gross magic lantern on a 5 dm 3).

Out of nowhere, whenever I try to import any DNG sequences, sequences of CR2, CR2 or DNG files, I get this error...

After effects error: the Photoshop file format error (- 1). (45: 35)

No matter which set of DNGS I open gives me error. Ive tried re-conversion of several files MLV (perhaps there were corrupt officials?) and their import again, but no luck.

Ive tried uninstalling AE and re installation with no luck.
I tried the updated Camera Raw to the latest version with no luck too. (Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh)

Does anyone know why AE would simply stop working with my DNG sequences all of a sudden?
It makes absolutely no sense to me.

(Running on a macbook pro end 2013)

Well, after 4 hours of trying to understand this point, I did.
Including use of that Camera Raw 9.5 it won't work with AE. 9.1 will alone.
Still doesn't explain why it has just stopped working in the first place well...
