Wonder about the difference between the element and symbol with draggable drag

I'm trying to understand the difference between a symbol and a with draggable element.

She is the example I did: https://www.box.com/s/v2s8ueeqof9litu4zvwm

  • for the Rectangle element, drag works very well. The item dragged from where he is.
  • the symbol of the box which is initially 0 left and top 0, no problem
  • the symbol of the boxCopy which is placed on the left 100 and top 100, on the trail, he jumps to this amount.

I guess drag Gets the original position of the symbol on the stage box and add these numbers to the position of the step. I have the symbol arround medication and it seems that the scene is translated left and top of the amount of the left and top of the symbol.

This does not happen with the Rectangle element.

Obviously there is something I don't understand.

Ok. Joel gave me the solution.

After you have placed your symbols on the stage, remove the left and top lines in the symbol. This will reset to (0,0).

Here is the corrected file. In the left panel, you will see that there is no left and top except one to show the difference.

  • Best practices for handling the elements and symbols (including preloading)

I'm learning to animate edges and I've not seen enough animations of how this is handled in general and I searched the forum and have not found answer either.

If you have many different elements and symbols for a project, what is the best practice to have appear them, disappear, etc. on the timeline? I ask this not only from a point of view based on performance, but also keeping in mind the idea of prestressing. This is a 2 part question:

Part 1: Using elements and symbols later in the timeline:

Given that the work is always imported directly to step in a status of "always you", should we place visibility TURNED off on each element until we need?

or must they be opacity 0 until I need them?

or should they be on visibility hidden until I need them?

Which one is the best option if you want only the element / visible until at the latest symbol in the timeline? Is how important it?

Part 2: Effect when the page is loaded

The question above have an impact on page loading speed

or is it something called a preload?

or do you need to make a special preloader?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hey, snail-

    Good questions!

I would recommend that you set your visibility on 'off' instead of simply change the opacity.  I suggest this is that when your visibility is set to off, the points of the object disappear.  If you have any type of interactivity, with the always visible object with an opacity of 0 will interfere with what whether you down in the display order.

Part 2: Effect when the page is loaded

The question above have an impact on page loading speed

or is it something called a preload?

or do you need to make a special preloader?

    Thanks for the help.

No, none of this has any impact on the loading of the page.  As you already noticed, all the assets of your project will be load before displaying.  If you don't want a part of your composition to load, you can do what we call a multi-composition project.  There is a sample of the said in the API to animate Edge in the Advanced section and lots of messages in the forums (and the other in the team blog) explaining how to do this.

  • Show(); -> Differences between the element and symbol?

    Hello

I can't ged rid of a problem of confusion.

I have a symbol (mySym) on my scene. the initial state is hidden.

    If I give the word:

    SYM.$('mySym'). Show();

nothing happens. If I do the same spirit a component on the stage:

    SYM.$('myElement'). Show();

It works well. If I use

    sym.getSymbol)

This is the same behavior. Are there differences between a symbol and an element?

    I didn't? Or?

    Thanks for the help,

    Michael

Solved the Riddle by myself. I'll leave the answer to others:

There is no difference! It worked fine, but I have an animation in my symbol and triggered incorrectly.

    I tried with:

    SYM.$('mySym'). Play();

    and it has not worked for play();

    I have to use:

    sym.getSymbol('mySym').play ();

to trigger the chronology. Now, everything's fine.

Thanks to myself for the answer. ;-)

And thanks to this forum which has answered a lot of Questions yet.

    Cheers - M.

  • Quick question: what is the difference between graphic elements and the movie?

What is the difference between the two symbols: graphics and movie clips? They both contain frames... ?

    video clips can be

instance names: so they can be ordered through actionscript

applied filters: drop shadow, glow, blur, color adjust etc.

applied of blending modes: difference, screen, lighten, Darken, etc..

    3D transformations

    graphics card:

    None of the above

the practical reason only to use a graph is the reason jdehaan said. an internal animation graphics can be rubbed through the main storyline. graphics will move forward only when the main scenario for advances. When the main timeline stops... Graph stops.

clips on the otherhand are supposed to run independent of the main timeline. so you can have a timeline of the HAND with a single frame and inner movieclip animation will work constantly.

also, via the properties panel, you can tell a graphic to get stuck on a certain range or a set number of times in a loop.

Always use some movieclips unless you have a reason not too. as kglad said it will save you and other very difficult in the future.

  • Difference between Shell ESXi and active with SSH PuTTY?

    Hello

We used to activate SSH and PuTTY to connect to 5.5 ESXi host.

However, a consultant suggested allow ESXi Shell and access it via DCUI.

Would just like to ask you what is the difference between these 2 methods of access?

    Thank you

Accusing Shell of ESXi is available by using two different ways.

    (1) local access to the shell of ESXi is available turning and by using directly from DCUI (Alt + F1), safer, since it is connected locally

    (2) remove access to the shell of ESXi is available by activating SSH Shell and using the SSH Client such as PUTTY etc to access. Since it is remote access, security is a bit of a cause for concern.

This is the reason, the suggestion to use locally DCUI is given.

  • What is the difference between Photoshop Elements 13 Photoshop 6 of Lightroom and Photoshop CC?

What is the difference between Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, Lightroom and Photoshop CC?  I just bought Photoshop Lightroom (6) and low and here is Photoshop doesn't do not part of the package, which costs another $70.  I feel ripped off the coast and now will have a moment same difficult figuring out that I should have bought the package.

Photoshop is the large capacity, editor of pixels that makes diapers and plug-ins; ideal for graphic designers, used by many photographers.

Photoshop Elements is a more basic version of Photoshop; often be everything as photographers really need Photoshop.

Lightroom is a Digital Asset Manager that lists your images and enjoys a good 'image' in her Editor. The catalogue allows the non-destructive editing of your images. Often does 95% of everything which has need of a photographer.

"Photoshop Lightroom" is the official name of Lightroom;  a bad choice by Adobe that confuses people.

For $10 / month, the "photographer" Lightroom + Photoshop bundle is difficult to beat. Subscribe to bundle licenses you the two programs, each to be downloaded and installed separately.

Any 'CC' appended to the name is something marketing allowing the software to talk to some of the web servers of Adobe to activate features. All software are still installed on your hard drive; all your images are always stored on your hard drive.

  • What is the difference between. MHT and. HTM?

Original title: is anyone know about MHT files?

What is the difference between. MHT and. HTM?

    Hi Sheryl,

Welcome to the Windows 7 community!

I understand that you would like to know the difference between file MHT and HTM file. I'm happy to help you.

MHTML, short for MIME HTML, is a format to archive web page used to combine resources that are usually represented by external links (such as images, Flash animations, audio files, Java applets) as well as the HTML code in a single file. The content of an MHTML file is encoded as if it were an email message to HTML, using the MIME type multipart/related. The first part of the file is normally encoded HTML; subsequent parts are additional resources identified by their URL original and encoded in base64. This format is sometimes referred to as MHT, after the suffix .mht given to these files by default when created by Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer or Opera. MHTML is a proposed standard, distributed in an edition revised in 1999 as RFC 2557.

HTML Web page that is used by Web browsers; contains the code markup that is stored in a plain text format; used to display and format the text and images in a Web browser.

HTM files serve the same exact than purpose. HTML files. The extension ".htm" appeared with the use of the Web Microsoft, such as FrontPage, SharePoint Designer and Expression Web development software.

HTM files are much less common than HTML files.

It will be useful. For any other corresponding Windows help, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.

  • What is the difference between codec primary and secondary codec in cts-3000?

    Hello

I'm a novice on telepresence. This community is only a place to resolve issues for me.

What is the difference between codec primary and secondary codec in cts-3000?

I know the primary function of the codec. but I don't know exactly of secondary function of codec.

    Help me please.

    Hello

On a CTS 3000 system, you have 1 codec primary and secondary 2 codecs. Secondary codecs are responsible for the camera left and right and view the connections. They communicate the main codec via an Ethernet cable.

Here is a guide to the installation of a CTS-3000 so that you can see the routing of cables.

  • What is the difference between x 86 and x 64-bit windows?

What is the difference between x 86 and x 64-bit windows?
Why windows 8 is incompatible with the office that is capable of windows 7?

Title: Original Windows 8.0 and 8.1

The terms (x 86) 32-bit and 64-bit (x 64) refer to how a processor (also called a CPU), processes the information. The 64 bit version of Windows handles large amounts of RAM (RAM) more efficiently than a 32-bit system.

You can try to install a 64-bit version of Windows 8 on a 32-bit version of Windows 7. You must use the 32-bit disc instead.

  • What is the difference between a table and a subform?

What is the difference between a table and a subform in LC forms? Please post your answers about the merits and demerits of using subforms instead of tables.

    Hello

a table is simply a set of subforms with a particular role.

It is easier to handle the tables if they must be dynamic (add or remove lines, show or hide lines when page breaks appear etc..).

And Designers UI has some dialogue prepared in the object palette to simplify the settings of the tables.

For subforms, dialog boxes are more frequent, so you have yourself a little more script.

But at least you can do everything with subforms as you can do with tables.

The only one who is not very good with tables we work when you wrap arrays in other tables.

  • What is the difference between Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5 Extended?

    Hey,.

What is the difference between Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5 Extended?

Also, why are there no other product from Adobe that don't are not 'extended', why just Photoshop?

    Thank you

    Hatton

It's all about marketing and money.  You can be extended or not, depending on what are the features that you need.  I personally don't have extended, just Standard and it's quite capable in itself that I need.  The two editions have 32 and 64 bit variants (if you have a 64 bit OS).

Adobe says only Extended offers "...". breakthrough tools for creating and editing 3D content and lively.

This page, in a few more clicks, will tell you more on the differences:

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/Photoshop/compare/

A good approach, if you have the monitor space, is to put the who's new pages for Standard and Extended place side by side in two browser windows and search for differences.

The media have a meaning that helps you tell the difference between and [parent].
<>means that the value is bound to the entity, the data are shared by all parents of this entity.
[] means that the value is specific to this parent/child 'node' and it is not shared by the other parents during consolidation.
Keep this in mind when you choose to make a newspaper on or [parent adjs].
