Work around the compatibility check during the installation of Windows 7

Hello

I have a HTC Shift UMPC and I try to install a version of windows 7 ultimate that I just bought, the problem is that the HTC Shift that I use has a faulty Power Board and think it's about the power of the battery even when it is plugged into a power outlet and the windows installer will not continue when you use the battery power.

Is it possible to skip this section of the installer and just install windows 7?

The device has been disconnected and get the repaired Board will cost almost as much as the copy of windows, I bought for her so I prefer not to go there.

Thank you

Adam

If you are upgrading Vista checking your device drivers, if there is a driver for battery power management hell there. Check the BIOS for an activation/deactivation of battery power management.

Today in the morning, when you import pictures from my Canon EOS Rebel Xti, I tried to change some settings in the dialog box "import pictures and videos" and to my surprise the link (button) Options does not work. I used to change the folder where the files would be saved or if the images would be deleted or no device.

  • DVD drive on laptop does not work since the installation of Windows 8

The DVD player on my laptop would not consider movies since I installed Windows 8.  Any ideas what app or service should be addressed to make it work.  I don't know if it is a hardware problem (I doubt it, it worked fine before) or a video software problem.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, Windows 8 does not natively support playback of DVD movies.  You need to install a Windows Media Center (no player) or a 3rd party application.

I recommend VLC - a free, open-source media player.  It will play DVD files immediately after installation.  Additional measures must be taken if you have a Blu - Ray player on your device.

  • Logitech speakers do not work since the installation of Windows 7 Home Premium

    Original title: audio help

Installed 7 Home premium on the computer. Logitech x-530 speakers are registered and that they do not work. Saya no audio devices installed. These speakers do not come with usb at the back of the computer. Jaks only black, yellow and green in the audio ports. How can I make them work?

Plug the green in your audio output.  Make sure the volume of your software is truned upward as well as your speaker volume.

Your speakers are a dumb device - they have no need for anything whatsoever, but an audio to work on something output jack (probably can cling to an ipod) and something streaming for them.

  • What is the work around the downloaded CD 2 of CS2 installer disk prompt error?

What is the work around the error of the 2 CD downloaded CS2 replacement installer disc prompt?

OK, I paid for this software.  I have the media, and the series here.  There is no problem with either.  The problem is with Adobe reluctance to save it.  So, Adobe has a downloadable "fix".  They replace the software that I own with a downloadable set of files.  They provide instructions that are inaccurate and a Setup program that requires a CD that does not exist (Please insert CD 2 to continue installation?)

What is the work around the error of the downloaded installer CS2 urging "Please insert CD 2 to continue installation"?

I'll tell you what is the solution... Do not buy Adobe products because they are trying to manipulate customers in the purchase of new products.

I'll upload the separate installation programs for each of the sequencing of CS2.  After I cancel my check again to get another installer Adobe "oopsy" around, I'll install each application separately.  There should not be a disk command prompt.  But I suspect another error display of ineptitude and deceit will result.

If I can not port this old app on my new computer, so I guess that's where Adobe and I part ways.

    Hello Kiwivic,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

  • During the installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 using a USB stick - get the message "cannot be installed, it is a GPT.

    Hello

During the installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 using a USB stick - get the message "cannot be installed, it is a GPT partition.

I have 64 bit install discs for Win 7 and Win 8.1. These two install on my desktop in duel boot. I made a Flash DRIVE of each disk so I can install it more quickly.

Problem: I get the cannot install because it is a GPT partition.

Y at - there no way to make these 2 USB sticks work?

    Thank you, Brad

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

Your computer does not have Microsoft's Downgrade rights and you must buy a copy of Windows 7 with a valid Microsoft COA and product key.

The screenshots below is from a laptop HP 15 t-j100... options and the configuration on your computer screens may differ.

You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

If you install Windows 7 from a USB and see a message of "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing", it's because as 'System Configuration' > 'Config USB3.0 in pre-start' is set to 'Enabled '. This should be set to 'Auto '.

In addition, as the factory hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello

First if all would be very useful to know which model of laptop you have.
Second, you could find the driver of his right on the page of Toshiba and so you n t need to test several audio drivers! The one on the Toshiba driver site works for sure.

    Hi txcatsmeow,

Windows update no longer works if you don't have XP SP3 installed. To check your system service pack level, click on start, run and type "Winver" in the Run dialog box and click on 'OK'.  If your system already has XP SP3 installed, you can try to reset the windows update components using the link below.
