Work screen keeps minimizing to the taskbar - of ideas?

Please can someone help?

I'm trying to get the right wording for the problem I have. I'm working on the computer - Windows 7 and all the minutes (or sometimes a few seconds) the working display disappears and falls to the taskbar. Everything is still there, I just have to click on it again to extend mode full screen. its been three times typing this.

It does on all office programs as well as the internet and the images and documents. Nothing is lost at the bottom of the screen.

I tried restoring the sytem back to may but it with success would not, saying: there is a registry error.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Hello

Thanks for your support so far.

A friend suggested that the keyboard may be the cause of the problem and so I changed... but nothing has changed. Still had the problem :(

I wore on the insulation of each service but whenever the problem disappeared. I got to the 56th... starting to get fed up. Thought to myself if it could be the keyboard, then maybe it could be the wireless mouse.

Activated and installed a mouse... USB... and the problem has (at the moment – do not breathe) disappeared.

So I will not do an analysis more - take the view if it is not broke don't challenge it... and could possibly think of getting a new wireless mouse...

then... probably a simple solution which I thought you may know.

can only think of you for your time and help

Kind regards

Amanda

  • the minimized in the taskbar window won't launch

A minimized in the taskbar window will launch not or be enlarged when you click it. How to fix? Thank you.

A minimized in the taskbar window will launch not or be enlarged when you click it.

Using the Task Manager command to go to the process to understand what it is and what it does.   For example, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, find the problem task bar icon in the Applications, right click, Go To Process tab, note the name of the Image.   You can also configure the process tab to show all the data in the column and get more details on the problem of the task.   Sounds like it could be hung or in a low level loop.   So, % of CPU and other statistics can help you with that.   If it's W7, you can also use the resource monitor to get similar information on this task, in particular a more precise idea on the question of whether the task has been attached or does not.   In any OS, you can use ProcExp (available on TechNet) as a more functional alternative to the Task Manager.

If it is not blocked, and not in a loop, it could be something to play games with you.   So what you could do with it would depend on its implementation.   For example if it was an IE window, it could just be controlled by a script, in which case you could try setting the security settings for the Internet zone is high.  By default, the high level does not allow Active Scripting.

  • Cisco vpn client minimized in the taskbar and the rest in status: disconnect

I used 5.0.07.0240 cisco vpn client for 1 month with my pc under windows 7-64 bit. Worked well for 1 month. All of a sudden now when I double click the icon to start, VPN automatically minimizes to the taskbar with the disconnected state. It does not connect the option to hit or anything before it reduced to a minimum. I've not seen this before and no changes... but now it simply doesn't work. All solutions? Windows just patch automatically breaking cisco?
Unfortunately, cisco does not world class technical service... they called but no use.

In my view, there is now a published version of the x 64 client, you need to download.
If you suspect an update of Windows, why not try a system restore for a day, it was
    working correctly?

    Hello Irene,.

Description of your question, I have noticed that during the game sims3 game he goes out of the screen and keeps pinning to the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. I can imagine how boring it would be.

    (1) what exactly is the problem you are having?

    (2) is the specific question of the sims3 game?

If the game is opened, it will appear in the taskbar next to the added items.

If the icon is actually to be pinned, reproduces the same after unpin it?

Please respond with the above information so that I can help further.

    Kind regards.

    No right click.

Although by default, the taskbar is displayed on the bottom of the screen,
It can be on any of the sides on what you prefer. To move any
side to side, simply click an unused portion and drag
where you want it. Don't forget to click on * in * it, not on the edge.
by clicking on the edge and dragging will resize not move.

Moreover, with the screen monitors wide today, I prefer the taskbar
on the left or the right of the screen. I think that allows a better
use of real estate than have it at the bottom of screen.

  • Is it possible to return when he is on the left side of the screen so that the Start button is on the bottom instead of the top of the taskbar.

original title: I wonder if it is possible to reverse the when it is on the left side of the screen so that the Start button is on the bottom instead of the top of the taskbar.

I have a laptop wide screen so I move the taskbar to the left for more vertical space. I was wondering if there is a way to return so that the Start button is on the bottom and all the small icons of notification are on top?

    Hi Sparty11,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site.

Unfortunately you can not return the taskbar to display the start menu to the basic button. It's normal. If you move to the left or right, in both cases the start menu button appears on the top left or top right of the task bar.

You can share your suggestions on tracking site.

  • Why is the thumbnail preview in the taskbar tasks not updated?

I noticed when I hover over a minimized in the taskbar, window that the vignette does not update. For example, if I reduce the thumbnail Windows Media Player does not display the actual film that plays, instead it shows a still image.

The behavior you describe works correctly, nail forecast will be updated only if the window is in full screen mode.

  • Simulator window is reduced in the taskbar, but I can't restore/maximize

    Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development and that you ran right into my first problem. Until today everything worked very well, I created a really basic web application and it load/shows correctly in the Simulator. This morning, I tried to refer to an external dll file in my code by right-clicking the project and selecting Add reference... it seemed to work ok but after trying to display in the browser display the Simulator is more properly, it appears like a window minimized in the taskbar that are not maxmised/restored.

I tired to remove the link to the external file, I tried to uninstall the webworks & SDK, download and re - install the latest Visual Studio plug-in [vs_plugin_11.exe], but this did not help. I don't really know what to do now.

Everyone knows about this problem? I would be grateful for any advice.

    Thank you.

I don't know exactly what happpend in your scenario, but I had something similar happen to me.

By chance have you changed your screen resolution?  What happened to me, it was that the Simulator was actually being run, it was just off-screen.

The way I fixed it was a click right on the entrance of Simulator in the taskbar and choose "move".  Then I used my arrows on my keyboard to bring the Simulator to the display.
