• Infrastructure and the workflow administrator

  I have two types of workflows that I need to run:

  1. infrastructure management.  These are things that Orchestrator has to do with the regular workflow.  They should not be dependent on the account active directory of an employee for authentication to vSphere, but rather a service account.   That's why I need to share a single session in my orchestrator configuration and run it all through this service account. (Unless I think bad - if so correct me)

  2. tasks of the administrator - these are things that must be run on an Ad Hoc basis by the directors of the vSphere environment.  Logging of who did what in vCenter is important and uses permissions and authorization implemented already in vCenter is important for these workflows, because there are different levels of permissions for admins of vSphere configured in vCenter which should apply when these types of workflow are running. So, I need to configure vRO to use 'session by user' instead of 'Share a single session' (unless I think bad - if so correct me)

  However, I can only configure Orhestrator to use 'user logs', or use 'share a single session', but not both.  How people have solved this problem?  This call to two facilities orchestrator, one for administrators and for infrastructure components?

  You may be able to create / remove the connection to host shared on the fly in your workflow to avoid exposing a connection in vCO.

  It's basically the way people made for vCloud Director where you need to have a connection by the organization.

  The other way is to expose workflows accessing a particular host only. You need actions by pulling on the lists of the VM at the start of a vCenter or help to specify a property of presentation of the root element.

  Once done, you can set permissions on the workflow.

  The third way is in your response. You can separate users by vCO...

  The suite is that you should have a special account that has sufficient rights to perform the Infrastructure Management and the use of session by user with this user.

  The first solutions are those requiring the most effort, while the those last less.

  We are not able to see the notifications via the status monitor.

  I already able to monitor all users notifications using Workflow (new) Web Administrator responsibility

  
  

  now am not able to monitor the notification using the same responsibility, please let me know is there any avail of solution to solve the problem.

  Currently, only the SYSADMIN user has this privilege.

  If you need 3 users to do so. You have to follow below:

  1. log in as user SYSADMIN.

  2. process management Web application > administrator > Administration

  3. update the current value "Workflow system administrator" of SYSADMIN to responsibility - example - "Workflow administrator Web Application.

  4. Save.

  5. now connect and go to security > user > define the shape in the application. Question 3 a users and ensure the responsibility of "Workflow administrator Web Application".

  6. test by logging in as a user 3 and responsibility, go now and try to search in the status monitor. They should have the privilege now.

  Mark as correct if resolved.

• Rename the workflow notification mailer in ebs r12

  All,

  We want to rename the 'workflow notification mailer' name to any name. But according to Oracle Workflow Administrator's Guide

  " " Cannot remove Notification Workflow seeded envelope or change its name"

  can someone please check if I read this correctly, and if not, please let know us a way to change this default name.

  In my view, Workflow Mailer of Notification of name change is not possible - if you go to (System Administrator > Oracle Application Manager > Workflow > components Service > Workflow Notification Mailer > Edit) you will find that the name cannot be changed.

  What is the reason behind the rename "Workflow Notification Mailer"?

  I went into the 'Workflow administrator Web Applications"and in the search status monitor a workflow type"PO approval. "
  
  In the list, which appeared I found that the event has been started on "23 January 2012 14:44:23 ' and completed the" February 4, 2013 11:19:49.
  
  On the display of the status chart, I noticed that mail was sent today and the "response from the monitor" shows below:

  I changed the PO notification by changing the associated plsql package. Now when I see IN. notices in the notification window it display correctly.
  
  When I search the same PO in State control in charge of workflow administrator, I get the following error.

• Issue of the administration of the process

  We have cloned prod dev successfully. DEV was for about 1 month.
  We now have a problem with the workflow.
  
  I connect as a sysadmin-> the system administrator responsibility can workflow-> global Preferences
  In the HTML page that opens it says "Only Workflow administrators can change the default settings."
  
  I tried with the--> global Preferences workflow administrator but the same results.
  
  I check for profile (System-> profile-> system administrator: workflow %) but found nothing which would indicate who is the admin of the workflow.
  
  I think that is due to the auto-configuration, set the default value for the administration of the process.
  
  How can I find out who is the owner and change it?

  You can run the following query to change the Workflow administrator:

  update of text wf_resources ='* ' where name = 'WF_ADMIN_ROLE ';

  In the workflow administrator responsibility, we can see errors for errorred different activities in the status monitor page and clicking on error in the status column.
  As this error information is not useful sometimes so I would change this error message with my custom message for the frequently mistake of activities.
  
  I can make the change in the workflow package and workflow.
  
  Please suggest what and how achiev thise. Is it possible to add code in the exception block to give my custom message.
  
  Can I use WF_CORE.context in my code.
  for example: ('PORCPTWF', 'GET_REQUESTER_MANAGER', "Author of the APPLICATION DO NOT HAVE MANAGER");

  Hello

  You must include the error handling in your PL/SQL to call WF_CORE. Context and return a meaningful message.

  When you include calls to WF_CORE, don't forget to add a RAISE in your exception block to make sure that the error is passed upward the battery correctly.

  I'm exploring to call a WS (BPEL for sync) of the Oracle SOA gateway.  That's what I tried.

  1 created a business WS invoker Workflow administrator web event

  2 creates a subscription to local events with the action type 'Invoke WebService'
