  Re-create the license store

  1) click the Start button.

  (2) type: CMD.exe in the field "search programs and files".

  (3) right click on CMD.exe and select run as administrator

  (4) type: net stop sppsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

  Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, that's ok.

  (5) type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

  (6) type: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

  (7) type: cd %windir%\system32

  (8) type: net start sppsvc

  (9) type: slui.exe

  (10) after a few seconds of activating Windows dialog box will appear. You may need to reactivate and/or re - enter your product key or Activation can occur automatically.

  Try changing the VGA cables and check if it helps.

  If the problem persists, then I suggest you to update the firmware.

  I bought my computer new in December 2010 and everything was fine.  Sunday night when I shutdown, an important upgrade was made by microsoft, and then all of a sudden on Monday when I booted up I started getting pop-up boxes that I can get counterfit software for Windows 7.

  Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

  OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

  COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone.   You are able to boot mode safe mode with networking?  Download the following tool and run a full scan to make sure that the malware has not infected the system.  You can disable restoring the system incase malware hides in the restoration (see the second link on how to disable the system restore)

  I had this for 4 years and no computer has ever seen this. I'm on anyway by clicking on "Activate later."

  All the 'Help' forums I see suggest retype the product key. The sticker on my computer has a series of 20 characters of 5 letters and then 15 numbers without dashes or breaks.

  When I retype it, on the second character (letter) he stops because the field says "invalid character": he wants a number when my product has letters.
