Written on a circular path. He meets!

I'm looking assistance trying to write around a circle. It sounds simple enough, but I've been stuck on it for at least half an hour now! Any help would be appreciated...

So far I've built a circle and used the "Scissors" tool on the occasion of the different segments of the circle but now when I try "Path", it says I need to "click on a no compound path, non-masquage to create text on a path. I'm worried I can I have inadvertently made too many paths for text -!

You will need to do, would be to copy the circle and paste in place and then use the new circle to add your text.

You cannot add text to a circle you want as part of the work, you must add an additional path.

  • Tap on a circular path in CS6

    I found a lot of tutorials, but each of them leave me in the dust. Most seem to be for versions prior to version CS6, or omit a milestone or mention a function that I can't find.

    In any case, can someone tell me what steps to follow in order to the following? :

    I create a State seal, with a blue band around the design. Inside the circular blue band, I want to type the words "great seal of" up and "Washington State" at the bottom. But I really need two separate text series, because I do not want "Washington State" to be backwards.

    Anyway, how can I do this?

  • Distribute evenly along the circular path

    I'm fairly new to Illustrator, currently working on a project involving circular return address labels.  On labels, the text of the address follows a circular path with bullets between the name, street and city/province/code postal.  My question is this:

    Now that I have entered all the text on the curved path, how I distribute evenly along this path?  In other words, how can I make sure that the same amount of space is at the beginning and at the end of my line of text?  At the present time, there is "still" space at the end of the address...

    Thanks in advance.

    If I understand correctly, then you select text path go to the paragraph Panel and choose the option of justification to the Centre you can also do the a paragraph style and you can change the default paragraph for this option style.

  • How to drag the object in a circular path?

    Hello

    I want to drag and drop the movieclip, but its limited path must be circular instead of the rectangle. is it possible by code.

    Thank you...

    This code restrict the movement of the arrow in a circle only (such as a dial). It can be adjusted to set limits in the circle:

    var dial:Sprite;
    var dialRadius = 100;
    var arrow:Sprite;
    var angleConvert:Number = 180 * angle / Math.PI;

    init();

    function init():void
    {
         dial = new Sprite();
         dial.x = dial.y = 150;
         var g:Graphics = dial.graphics;
         g.lineStyle(1, 0x004000);
         g.drawCircle(0, 0, dialRadius);
         addChild(dial);

         arrow = new Sprite();
         arrow.buttonMode = arrow.useHandCursor = true;
         g = arrow.graphics;
         g.beginFill(0x000080);
         g.moveTo(0, -15);
         g.lineTo(7, 6);
         g.lineTo( -7, 6);
         g.endFill();

         arrow.y = -dialRadius;
         dial.addChild(arrow);
         arrow.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onArrowDown);
    }

    function onMove(e:MouseEvent):void
    {
         var angle:Number = Math.atan2(mouseY - dial.y, mouseX - dial.x);
         arrow.x = dialRadius * Math.cos(angle);
         arrow.y = dialRadius * Math.sin(angle);
         arrow.rotation = angleConvert * angle + 90;
    }

    function onArrowDown(e:MouseEvent):void
    {
         stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, onMove);
         stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onArrowUp);
    }

    function onArrowUp(e:MouseEvent):void
    {
         stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, onMove);
         stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onArrowUp);

  • How to make a circular path of camera

    Hi all

    If I'm using Orbit Camera Tool, it creates a linear camera path. How can I create a circular? I need the camera to move smoothly, but not as a series of linear route.

    I could add vertices to a path and edit manually, but no doubt, there is an easier way to do this.

    Please notify.

  • Is there a quick and easy ways to precisely align text on a circular path?

    I create a model of roller coaster of drinks and I have to make sure that the text moves around the outside edge of the coaster is properly spaced, symmetrical and well aligned. Are there tools that I can use to simplify this process, because at the moment I use the very long and very imprecise method of using the SPACEBAR and counting the spaces between words and turning arc text manually. There must be an automatic method that is much more accurate?

    Thank you very much. TW

    Another method: start by placing a space between each of the sentences. Use the method justified that Peter suggested.

    Then replace the spaces between sentences with a hunting space (Type > Insert space > Flush space).

    To the passage of the alignment with the selection tool. Check that the proxy of transformation is set to centered. Use the rotation tool and turn until the text that you want at the top of the circle.

  • Make a linear path to a path of circle

    I'm relatively new to Illustrator and trying to figure out how to change a linear object in a circle object. Below, you will see that I have a "River Road" (really just also spaced "waves" on a straigh line) in blue and a circular ring in yellow (crossed out red).river_circle.png

    I want to wrap the "River Road" to replace the internal path race red of the donut/circle. [I would also like to make a second version with the 'waves' on the outside of the ring/circle, so help would both be great.] Basically, I want to take an anchor to the end of the path of the 'River' and wrap it around a circular path until it meets the other end anchor.

    I tried using effect-> Warp-> Arc, and then copy the path and reflect, however, does not produce the effect of CRA real semicircle (see below).river_circle(arc).png

    I read another thread here on the a with an 'art brush', but I don't know how to do this without more details than that post of the contours. If anyone knows how to do this with the art brush, I would be grateful orientation.

    Or any idea for my goal - a doughnut with the waves on the inside edge (and then again on the outer edge).

    CommCo,

    An Artbrush like a wave will keep the number of ridges and stretched to fit the path, it is applied to.

    You can:

    (1) create the wave as a continuous path with the correct number of coats of arms;

    (2) drag it to the paletee/panel shapes and drop it on the button new brush, just use the default values and name;

    (3) select the path (inside/outside), and then click the brush of wave.

    If you have ridges on the opposite side of a path, you can either create an another Artbrush checking everywhere, Flip or reverse paths (one way is to use the free reverse script here: http://park12.wakwak.com/~shp/lc/et/en_aics_script.html).

    And you can adjust the height of the wave/thickness by changing the weight of the race in the stroke palette/Panel.

  • CS5, text on a path in a circle, gets moved around by reducing the whole image in size.

    I, CS5. I created a seal with the graphics and text on a path. Started with an image that was created with an Illustrator old version of CS. text has been updated and the finished product looks good. However, when I try to make a copy and reduce it in size, the text on a circular path gets moved around. Other components of the image decreases as it should. Any ideas?

    Make a copy of the seal in a symbol and allows to reduce the size.

    Thanks, I managed to fix this now. Appreciate your help.

  • Equal distance between the text on a path

    I have a circular path where I've got 5 words in the text that I need to have a distance equal between every word.

    What I've done is to create 5 text paths coming to overlap the other so I can move the text around the trail but is there a quick way to creat gaps equal?

    Rather than spaces use a chartacter (for example: dash) between words, in this way the forced justification will work.

  • Add background color to the path of the text?

    Hello

    I have a circular path on which I am typing the text. I have 2 questions:

    (1) how can I "extend" the area of the circle for me to type on various points of the trajectory? I adjusted the "markers" with the direct Selection tool, but when I press tab or space, the original text moves

    (2) is it possible to color the background of the text, in such a way?

    I have attatched a screenshot, if you need more, please let me know. As you can see, at the top of the trajectory is a blue line where the text begins, however I want to type in 3 places.ai.png

    Thank you

  • Objects on a path

    Is there an effective way to put objects on a path as a circular path with the help of Illustrator CS4 or CS5? The objects are of type that has been converted to the outline. I is not the original type and do not know the font used, so I need to work with what I have.

  • Writing an XML file on disk using PHP

    Hello.

    I decided it's time to ask for help with the issue I'm having.

    I have a photo gallery that loads images with a legend with the aid of a local XML file. I want the user to click on a photo to change the caption and thus change the XML. Then I need to rewrite the XML in Flex updated in the local XML file. I'm really surprised that I was not able to find examples online. I learned that the security settings are preventing us to write directly on the Flash/Flex, the solution disk, with I came is therefore to use PHP. Currently, Flex passes the XML updated string to the PHP script and PHP replaces the local XML file with the string.

    I have 2 numbers.

    1. I can see in the bin-debug folder that the updated file XML is written correctly, but raise the request meets my TileList with OLD data.  The strange thing is that if I delete the XML file completely from my project (source and bin-debug folders), or if I change the URL in the httpService to an alias file, the application still works very well with old data. The other weird thing is that a few times during my troubleshooting, suddenly has worked well as expected. I tried to clean up the project and many other things that I can't even remember (like changing the path to the PHP/XML files, run the application outside of Flex Builder, change the path to build in the project settings)...

    Am I right in thinking it's weird, or am I missing something really simple? Any ideas? I'm even on this a good way to write the XML through PHP?

    2. the second question, I think is less important, but I will explain because maybe it is related to the first. By clicking on the button to call the PHP script causes the text "localhost... data transfer". "appears at the bottom of my browser indefinitely.

    Thanks in advance.

    Simply attach a timestamp after each call to xml:

    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://localhost/gallery.xml?refresh=" + new Date () .getTime ());

    This will make the browser suggests that the link can be potentially a different content due to URL variable evolution and recharge it every time.
