Wrong key after you have reinstalled Windows Vista.
Some time ago I reinstalled Vista. I used the same key product, all worked without problems. But today (after re - install) it sends me the message: Please activate Windows, false key. If I try to write old product key is not accepting it. If needed I can send picture of key, the next is original one. So, what I could do to use Vista in the future, he wrote that left 2 days only.
P.S., Sorry bad English. :)

Recovery of Outlook Contacts after you have reinstalled Windows Vista
I had to reinstall Windows Vista for a variety of reasons. I use Windows Backup and Restore Center to back up all personal files, send an email and contacts to an external hard drive. For some reason, I can't find or recover the e-mail contacts that I had saved before reinstalling. Y at - there a trick to this? They were also not in the Windows.old file that I could tell. Help, please. Thank you.
Robert
Well I thought about it. I had to physically locate the .pst file in about 2 weeks on the external hard drive. I copied and pasted in my user profile. Then he imported in Outlook. All emails and contacts restored. I knew there was a way to do it.

My product key is not be accepted after you have reinstalled Windows Vista.
Using product keys Vista reinstallation (OEM)
I reinstalled Vista after failing to fix some registry errors. I threw down the front product key I have re-installed, but it's a product key which is not accepted by MSFT. Instead of 25 numbers as it requires, I wrote a 20 (and part it says OEM).
It's good to upgrade to a version XP OEM Windows Vista and upgrade CD is not a product key. The XP CD has a product key, but of course Vista is not accepting it. Apparently Vista stops working in 20 days, if I activate it. What is the product code I can use!
Not worth it!
Obviously the disk did not contain certificates appropriate for the key.
Your SLIC table seems to be the appropriate injector to install a Vista, rather than installing a XP, so a recovery disk Dell to Vista so that the machine can very well work - and is much less expensive than buying a new license.
Your best option, if it comes to having to purchase a new license, is to buy a copy of Windows 7 upgrade, it would be cheaper that a full version of Vista from Dell and would be transferable to another machine if he died. ($120 MS for Home Premium upgrade of XP/Vista). You can check compatibility first, just in case there is a problem - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx

Activation problem
I reinstalled Vista (upgrade), when I try to check and enter my product key, it says "only for the upgrade not a clean install. On the activation screen, it shows all telephone support option. Thanks for any help!
This is because a product upgrade key requires a copy of Windows to upgrade. That's why its called an 'upgrade '.
Restore the copy of Windows you improved the first time and then move on to Vista.

Problem product key after you have reinstalled Windows XP.
Original title: Re-install windows XP
My computer has a virus and so I had to format and reinstall windows XP. I'm at the point where I have to enter the product key, but it won't accept it. I tried to change the B of 8 etc, but nothing helped. Can you help me?
Hello
1. are you using a CD provided by the manufacturer of the computer, or you use a retail XP CD?
2 is the key that you are using a sticker on the computer or the one included with a purchase XP?
3. What is the exact error you get when you enter the product key?If you use the key of a sticker on the computer, you need to be sure to use an OEM provided the CD to reinstall.
The key to the sticker on a computer that says "OEM" will not be able to activate on a Setup from a retail CD.Follow the steps in the article.

You can retrieve your personal files, but not the settings, even if you could look under AppData in the Windows.old and copy them to their respective directory in the installation of Windows Vista work.
You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

After you have reinstalled windows Vista is full and my recovery disk (d :))
When I restart my computer, it seems that I have now 2 versions of Vista installed on the D: drive but Boot Manager does not let me start the 2nd version - how can I delete this version without removing the working version?
It cannot be, if this is the case, you have just two entries to startup, and isn't a working installation. To delete the boot entry, you don't want to, follow these steps:
Click Start, type: msconfig.exe
Press enter on your keyboard
Go to the Startup tab
Select the entry, and then click Remove
Click apply and OK
When you are prompted, restart the computer.

The issue may have been caused by updateing your system drivers from somewhere other than your PC manufacturers or the motherboard manufacturers site, in the case of a generic desktop computer

I have a HP Pavilion g7 - 1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.
I bought a new hard drive, so I had to reinstall Windows.
After installation, the laptop cannot connect to internet by wifi or Ethernet. After trying the troubleshooting it says that windows do not detect a network card installed properly.
In the Device Manager, I see that there is an exclamation to these exact components:
Standard VGA graphics card
BCM20702AO
Ethernet controller
Network controller
PCI device
PCI Simple Communications controller
SM Bus controller
Download all these somewhere? And of course I'll upload them to another PC that my laptop will not at all online.
I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet very well. (If this information is useful at all)
Can someone tell me what to do? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

original title: can't activate windows xp.
I had to reinstall windows xp on my computer. I used the disc that came with my computer to reinstall windows.
everything seems to have run successfully. now, I get a windows product activation window. "This copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log in. you want to activate the window now?
When I say yes nothing happens, I see my background. There are no icons, no start nothing.
What should I do to activate it.
Almost no ONE in these forums works for MS - those who are indicated as such.
These forums are peer-to-peer support
Try to start in Safe Mode - if it circumvents the activation request
If not, try to start in Safe Mond (command prompt) - who does?
If so, try entering the command...
Rundll32.exe syssetup, SetupOobeBnk
Press the Enter key and reboot - self so who lets you return the system control.
Post your MGADiag report.
