WRT110 - cannot access a modem or router

I bought WRT110 about 1 week ago and it was working OK (not the best), but it was satisfying.  There are 2 laptops at home trying to access this router. I loaded the cd on the main laptop and the other will link also, but sometimes there are issues where the two, we cannot be on at the same time or 1 will fall on the other. Yesterday after that just the laptop main was online, the connection has been lost so I called technical support Linysys. the tech had me reset the router and change the ip address of the router and now I can't get on the internet even if I connect directly to the modem. the other pc will connect using the modem so that we know it is not a dsl.  I tried to uninstall linksys to my laptop and reinstall the cd but when I get to step 4 does not even recognize the router. What's wrong???

  • VPN clients cannot access remote sites - PIX, routing problem?

I have a problem with routing to remote from our company websites when users connect via their VPN client remotely (i.e. for home workers)

Our headquarters contains a PIX 515E firewall. A number of remote sites to connect (via ADSL) to head office using IPSEC tunnels, ending the PIX.

Behind the PIX is a router 7206 with connections to the seat of LANs and connections to a number of ISDN connected remote sites. The default route on 7206 points to the PIX from traffic firewall which sits to ADSL connected remote sites through the PIX. Internal traffic for LAN and ISDN connected sites is done via the 7206.

Very good and works very well.

When a user connects remotely using their VPN client (connection is interrupted on the PIX) so that they get an IP address from the pool configured on the PIX and they can access resources located on local networks to the office with no problems.

However, the problem arises when a remote user wants access to a server located in one of the remote sites ADSL connected - it is impossible to access all these sites.

On the remote site routers, I configured the access lists to allow access from the pool of IP addresses used by the PIX. But it made no difference. I think that the problem may be the routes configured on the PIX itself, but I don't know what is necessary to solve this problem.

Does anyone have suggestions on what needs to be done to allow access to remote sites for users connected remotely via VPN?

(Note: I suggested a workaround, users can use a server on LAN headquarters as a "jump point" to connect to remote servers from there)

with pix v6, no traffic is allowed to redirect to the same interface.

for example, a remote user initiates an rdp session for one of the barns adsl. PIX decrypts the packet coming from the external interface and looks at the destination. because the destination is one of adsl sites, pix will have to return traffic to the external interface. Unfortunately, pix v6.x has a limitation that would force the pix to drop the packet.

with the v7, this restriction has been removed with the "same-security-traffic control intra-interface permits".

  • WRT110, Vista, wired desktop cannot access utility based on the router's web

Computer Vista hard wired to the WRT110 cannot access the router. But it CAN get to internet and CAN ping router without losses. The XP machine is wireless, can get internet and CAN ping router without losses, but also can NOT access the router page. Ipconfig displays 192.168.1.1 is the correct default gateway address.  Yesterday, I had to reset the modem to access the router and had to enter all the parameters.  Could access router yesterday but can't today. The IP address is valid from yesterday to tomorrow. I don't understand what has happened to prevent access to the router. I even unplugged the modem to the router and still cannot access router today.  I can't find this problem in the forum, hope this isn't a duplicate request. Thanks for any help

I have NO idea why, but I can access the Web with IE8 installed utility pages.  Has absolutely no sense to me.  Of course, it must be some kind of safety but my IE use medium-high settings, so I can't imagine what passage of IE7 to IE8 did indeed these parameters.

Happy now that I can access these pages, finally.  Hope this helps someone else.

  • Cannot access my router through the Explorer configuration page

I need to do a port forwarding on my router. My internet connection works (even if she falls occasionally) and I can also connect to other computers on my network. However, I cannot access my router through IE page (I get a message saying: page not found). When I go see the map in the options Vista network, the router is not displayed and when I clikc on "See the whole map", I get a message saying that Windows cannot detect any computer or devices.

My connection to the router is connected, and it is a WRT54G Lyinksys. Any ideas how I can see my router or go to its page layout? Another thing, I went to CMD and the ping command returns a default gateway 192.168.1.1, which is what I have my using the address of the webb page.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Cannot access the gateway/DHCP WS2012

    Hi all

For some reason any Windows Server 2012 machine cannot access my gateway (router). I got a new modem/router ATT (NVG589) so I got rid of my dlink router DGL4500. For some reason my server cannot get an IP from the DHCP on the router (windows is currently giving a private ip address). The dlink gateway is 192.168.0.1, and the new is 192.168.1.254. I have tried to put a static IP address, flush the dns, set it to automatic and searched online, nothing seems to work. When I plug the dlink again, the server is able to get an ip address from it. Am I missing something that I must specially configured in the NVG589? or y at - it something on the server, I need to change?

  • Cannot access WVC54GCA on internet

My camera works fine on my local network, but it cannot access it remotely via the internet. I watched several discussions on this subject here, been through all the documentation, I find in every detail, and I think I have everything set up according to what I read. You can see everything that could be wrong in my set up?

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Local DHCP active IP 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254

I suspect that you have a DOUBLE NAT - which means that you have two firewalls in the path.  Look at your DSL Modem, probably because the WAN IP of the router D-Link is a 192.x.x.x it means that your modem is DSL NAT/DHCP and is also a firewall.

Call your ISP and tell them that you want the Modem to a MODEM ONLY - (aka the bridge Mode) and once you do this, the router D-Link will get the REAL WAN IP from the modem.

This will solve the problem, give your ISP a ring and you will be up and running in a few minutes

I understand that you are having a problem with your WiFi and wanted to help you!

You are trying to access WiFi through router?  If you are connected to your wireless network, but cannot access the internet, then the problem may be with the router.  Check that the router is connected to the internet.  If you have more than one router, then you can ensure that you are connected to the correct router.  You can also try unplugging the router for about 30 seconds, and then reconnecting it.  Please consult the following document, as it can help solve the problem for you:

Windows 7 will not work with the Mac OS X Windows support for default share file. If you try to access a shared folder on Mac OS X, W7 will display a logon error repeatedly.
The problem is that W7, by default, will only use NTLMv2 for authentication, which is not supported by the service of sharing of Windows of Mac OS x.
The other problem is that safety minimum Session for NTVLM SSP based Clients.

  • I cannot access internet Windows XP.

    Hello

My name is Tommy and I need help. My desktop computer shows that it is connected to the internet, but when I try to use any application that requires the internet (IE, firefox, chrome, League of legends, etc..) I get a 'connection error' / Web page isn't reachable. Internet works on my parents and my sisters computer, so I don't think it's a problem with the router (even if they're using wifi). My firewall will not turn on either. I tried a reset winsock, but to no avail.  I ran a few antivirus scans and eventually find a sitting trojan.muldrop in my System Volume Information folder, and I deleted it with by Dr.Web CureIt. After the removal of the virus, my computer will still not access the internet, and I can't turn on my firewall. Please help if possible!

  • Dell has developed a passwoord and cannot access the Windows XP system on a network share in Windows 7.

Original title: network router, XP computer and Windows 7 laptop computer dilemma.

My system XP computer is part of a network using a router. I also have a laptop Windows 7, using the same network. Reference Dell set up a password so that the network is not accessible without password, reducing the risk of piracy. Now, I can not in the XP system because of the defined password.  How to reset or enter the password on the XP computer?

    Hi Scottid2,

    1. do you receive error messages when you access the Windows XP system?

    2. What is the password being set by Dell?

You can check in the Windows 7 system if the password protected sharing is enabled. When protected by password sharing is enabled, people using other computers on your network cannot access your shared folders or printers unless they have a user account on your computer.

You can turn off password protected sharing and check if it helps.

    Hello

It is usually the case when, for example, a router is off, but one or more of the devices connected to the router are left on.

The devices to retain the ip address assigned to them, but when the router starts up again it has no knowledge of this. If when you start one of the other devices, the router can assign an ip address already in use. Concrete example that I reproduced with my router and the PC...

    • Start the router, then boot PC1 and PC2 - the router (192.168.1.1) will allocate for PC1 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 to PC2
    • Turn off the router, then turn off PC2, restart and shut off again
    • Put the PC1 to sleep
    • Start the router and PC2, the router does not PC1 and allocate 192.168.1.2 to PC2
    • PC1 to wake up and there still 192.168.1.2 who now is a confrontation with PC2

Other ways to reproduce this situation may also be possible.

All devices on your network must have a unique ip address, where the warning message.

If you get this situation once again, the solution is to turn off all devices, including the router, then restart the router, then restart all devices connected to the router.

To avoid this, you may be able to put ip Reservations for your router address which will ensure that all devices connected to the router always get the same ip address (unique). If you are unsure how to proceed, we will need your router brand and model to help.

    Hello
    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .
