WRT160NL real draft 11n?

I apologize in advance if these appear to be ignorant questions.  Please bear with me.

I am interested in the WRT160NL.  But by searching on the Net, I learned that he was initially was marketed as a pre - n router.  My question is: the the WRT160NL now a real draft 11n router?  Or is it always pre - n?

My other question: the WRT160N and WRT160NL the power adapters are compatible with 110 and 220v?  I looked at specifications of the products again and again, and what I find is that the router itself is 12v.  What I need to know, is if I can plug the adapter 110v and 220v.

I hope someone can help.

All the router linksys N series are 802.11n Standard. Thus, you can go for any N series router.

  • Update card WLAN 11 g 11n on Satellite Pro A300-15U possible?

    Hello

in the recent this t Magazin (Germany), there was a very good article on the replacement of the card with a (draft) 11n wlan more recent 300Mbit card. They said, it would take your laptop to get the map accessible (it is) and having two antennas (there). 11n can or used three but it does not all three.

The mag says, some manufactured goods prohibiting this and you have an error in the bios if you are replacing the card, some don't and even provide assistance and instructions.

    So my questions are:

    1. don't Toshiba allows me to change the map, or you have to use "stuff"?
2 Toshiba offer original parts to upgrade or you have to use third party items?

Thanks for any adivce or help!

    Mirko

That s is not so easy.

A look at the underside of the laptop. It has a label and you should see the wireless network card is built in.
If the card has A/G or B/G standard, then the laptop does not support the N standard, because for the new N standard, you need 3 antenna cables and the old standard has only 2 antennas.

    I hope I could help a bit.

  • How can I update to network without WIRE Draft 802.11n draft 5742z-4200 adapter

I have an Acer Aspire 5742z-4200, and it came with a mini PCI-E card of draft 802.11n.  I didn't need much in the way of transfer speed out of the machine most of the time I've owned it, but now all of a sudden.

I bought two Inetl 802.11 b/g/n/ac cards, assuming that the PCI-E was a standard housing, and one card would work, like the other, but with different capacities.  That doesn't seem to matter of bethe.  After installation of each, the PC started very slowly, but has managed to load network tot connect drivers and even transfer files at lightning speed, compared to my connection 802.11 g.  But overall, the laptop is too slow to use.

A little research on Google introduced me to the term 'material whitelist.  I imagine that it is also possible tensions, frequency of the bus or whatever it is of another participant might be incompatible.  The PC works fine with the old card in it, so I don't think I have anything damaged.  Does anyone know what I need to do to upgrade the WLAN card in my laptop?  If I'm relegated to get a USB adapter?

    Thanks for your help!

OK, some more application of Google-fu, and I read more on the subject of the registration of the pins with more recently introduced functions.  Pin 20 seemed to have something to with a wireless radio turn off the feature that did not have previous PCIe slots/motherboards.  The symptom seems to be no visible from card otherwise functional networks.  PIN 51 resembled a new feature/issue and seemed to have something with the ability to disable the radio more than one.  (The 802.11ac card I got a bluetooth as well.)  It is manufactured by chipzilla, a nd a 2.4 and 5 Ghz frequencies for WLAN function. I wanted the frequencies and the 802.11ac and struggled to find one without Bluetooth.  It was $ 31).

This PC is quite old now (Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz, DDR3 1333 MHz RAM - a bit slow, but with a small SSD, it's fine for my purposes.) and not worth much and I save all the time so I decided to give it a shot.  I don't know the rules here to post links, so I don't want to, but they are not hard to find.  A few people have even posted revision of the Chipzilla official on the mini PCIe spec for the addition of several start/stop function triggered on the PIN 51 radio.  PIN Ribbon 51 seems to have solved the problem completely.

Yet now my machine starts quick, the transfer rate WiFi is what it should be and if I don't have any Bluetooth use, the devices all appear OK in Device Mangler.  I guess that all 802.11ac cards with several radio stations have this PIN 51 - multiple radio disable switch compatibility issues when used in older laptops.  I look around a bit for one with no Bluetooth, but saw nothing so I decided to try the hack.  If the thing starts to smoke or whatever it is, I'll come back and update this thread.  I wouldn't spread dangerous advice.

    Thanks again, Chris.

  • Driver for Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini Card

Have your Studio 540 desktop provided with Windows VISTA. I then updated to Windows 7 64-bit. The 5G band worked until the death of my old router.

I bought a new Western Digital N600 dual-band router. The problem I have is that my PC does not record the band of 5G, only 2. 4 g. NIC card driver dates back to 2008 (Dell) and the manufacturer (Broadcom) transmits the responsibility of Dell. Won't even talk about it.

My iPAD recognizes 5G so I know the router is OK.

Anyone know how to get the last driver W7 for this card? I don't see how to get it from Dell.

It is better to just go and buy a new NIC card?

    Thank you, Bob

  • L775-11N satellite does not power ON battery new

    Hello

I recently bought a new battery for my Toshiba Satellite L775 11N.

When I plug in the battery, the battery led blinking stars (according to the manual, it means that the battery has any energy and does not load).

When it is plugged in, I cannont start the computer, I have to take and put it after.

What can I do to make my battery work?
This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.

Thanks in advance, sorry for my bad English (french is my mother tongue)

    Hello

    > This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.
The part number on the label may be the same, but probably isn t product Toshiba genuine battery.
You probably bought some cheap battery China labeled as a real framework for this model of laptop.

    > What can I do to make my battery work?
You have some many options. If the battery isn't fully compatible and does not, you would need to replace it.

  • How to disable the touchpad on my Satellite C50D-B-11N click?

    Hi all

I've had my new laptop of Toshiba Satellite C50D-B-11N for a few days now and I like it a lot... However, I don't like the touchpad clicker. Is it possible to disable the function click on the touchpad he clicks on things while I m spend my finger on the touchpad and it's really annoying me seriously and there is no setting that I can find for this problem!

I looked in the settings of the mouse and touchpad and there is no setting to disable the function of the touchpad click. Can anyone help please?

    Thank you very much

To be honest this show is unknown to me and I heard him for the first time now. Usually if something must be opened, you must use option tapping.
In other words, if long, you have a permanent contact with touchpad surface nothing must be open and click option cannot be enabled.

Anyway, check it please if you can find sheets option real estate property mouse and disable it just to see if the problem persists.

  • Qosmio G50 802.11n enabled but does not work properly

    Hello

I get a new Qosmio G50 on Christmas and now I have a little problem. I use a draft N of D-link access point and I want to use 802.11n mode with my qosmio. But I have some problems with it. I activated the 802.11n mode in the peripheral band Manager and channelbandwidth 2.4 & 5.2 are both set to "auto". But I don't get the 300mbps, 60mbps is what I get. My father has a portable computer from a different manufacture with also a 802.11n wireless card but not Intel and other mobile, I get the 300mbps! I put books together in the same room, the other get the qosmio 300mbps varies from 1 to 81mbps or more.

-Does anyone know what goes wrong or what I need to change something in the Device Manager? I heard that many other intel WiFi 5100 owners also do not receive the speed of 300mbps.

    can someone help me?

    Greetz

Have you tried turning off modes of 802.11g/b/a by assigning "802.11n only?

Access device wireless LAN settings in Device Manager to change these settings.

Remember not that 300Mpbs speed signal. Actual data transfer speed (less overhead) is less than 100 Mbps

  • Satellite A300 - how to set up WiFi draft N?

Hi all new to the forum so Hello.

My father just bought a Satellite A300 with Vista, which I'm trying to set up for him.
I can't get the wireless to connect to 11n only 11g. I tried on both routers that I managed to connect my suburb to @ 11n.

Under Advanced settings in the device, the option of Wireless Manager, it does not list 11n anywhere, it lists all of the combinations of 11A, 11b, and 11g but not 11n!

    Any help pointers appreciated!

    Best regards, Steve

What is the exact model of your Satellite A300 code?

And are you really sure that your Satellite A300 supports draft N? Did you check that?
The fact is that not all Satellite A300 supports the new draft N speed.

To me that sounds like it's your laptop doesn't support draft N and if that were the case, you should try to update the driver WLAN from your laptop.
You can find it on the page of Toshiba.

  • Re: Satellite L300-1BV: I want to use Draft N - how to disable Wlan in BIOS

I think trying a new network adapter, which has the N Protocol.

But I was told its best to disable the network adapter in the BIOS first realtek wireless and not Device Manager as I thought.

So basically what the correct way to do it in the BIOS instead of me in there without real knowledge of where to look.

    Any advice on this...

    (windows vista Home premium)

    Hello

I put t think the BIOS contains such option, that could allows you to disable the internal WLan function.

If you want to use Draft N (802.11 N) using an external adapter (WLan USB stick), then I don't see any other solution to disable the wireless card in Device Manager.

But to be honest I do not know if disabling the internal WLan card is required m
I expect that you would not need to disable the internal WiFi network in order to get the other treatments of the WLan card.
