• Drive external DRIVE not detected (2 PCs), after turning off the PC during the error checking

  I ran properties/tools/error-check on a (regularly used to back up this PC XP) external HARD drive. After 2 days, error checking was still running and not even 1/3 way 4th Phase but I need PC. It was not possible to stop "Error Check" from the dialog box then I tried Task Manager/Applications, which said that nothing worked, so I turned off the PC.

  I have had several headphones with microphone and taken headphones 3.5 and the laptop just will not detect them. I tried to disable the internal sound system, or just the MIC internal, but not luck.

  The internal MIC is a (stronger if the external microphone is plugged) whirring background noise which means I can't use it for work.

  I have a HP Envy 15 with the ATI 5830.  I want to connect an external monitor.  The outside is a Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD and has a DVI (also has HDMI, but poor quality when used from a PC). My laptop has only HDMI.  When I use a DVI - D HDMI converter / my laptop does not detect that there is an external monitor.  I've lived all my settings and updated the Bios and video drivers.  I'm missing something. • Local storage not detected during installation

  Just got some new guests to, HP DL380 G7s... Using Smart Array P410i controller.

  When I boot on the CD to begin the installation, it is only to see my CF storage, none of my local storage.

  • Physically, there are two 146 GB drives in raid 1 + 0.  Of these 2 physical disks, there is a logical drive in RAID 1 + 0.  After that he did not detect the storage, I deleted the logical drive and recreated, with no change in the result.

  I just upgraded this router after that Time Warner gave me a free upgrade to 200 Mbps.

  Everything is faster, make more SOON!

  My new laptop has got 206 Mbps 5.0 GHz Wireless.

  But, the laptop is running Windows 8.1, and I think it is the problem of external storage.

  I plugged a USB3 32 GB USB drive and a hard disk of 1 TB in USB1 and USB2, with the same result.

  On my desk, I see an icon for the Twonky Media Server and a folder of files to external storage.

  On my laptop, I see the Twonkymedia icon, but no folder.

  The laptop can music, videos and photos.  But there is no way to access any files outside media.

  The Office has a "Home" network, but the Windows laptop 8.1 has a "Private" network

  I put the laptop to share and can be transferred back and forth between the two computers.

  I don't see this as a case of breakage, but it would be nice to make it work.

  I have no experience network Windows 8/8.1.  I'm a fanboy of Windows 7.

  I'm trying to set up my WRT1900AC router to access a USB attached as an external storage device. I can access the drive when I'm on the LAN, but I had no success accessing outside my local network. I enabled the FTP option in the section of external storage. With the FTP option is enabled, it then points me to the IP address that my cable modem ISP attributed to the router (192.168.0.2). Obviously this won't work from the outside world because it is not the IPV6 address. I install my modem cable to the port before 21-the 192.168.0.2 address and tried to access from outside by using my address IPV6 (ftp://77.XX.XXX.XX:21) but it will not connect. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction, as I obviously don't do something here.

• Updating ESX 3i 5 - how add/detect a USB external storage on the host drive

  I guess that this has been asked several times in the past, but I can't seem to get this to work for me.  All I want to do is use this USB external drive to back up files hard find in my volume of "datastore1".  I would like to implement a script, or even do it manually, where I tell you about my ESXi host just copy the files in VMFS volume in the external USB storage drive.

  My physical server is a Dell PowerEdge 2950, and it uses ESX 3i update 5.  I use a 250 GB Maxtor One Touch II USB external storage device, and it has been formatted with NTFS.

  Currently, I don't even know the controls able to detect this USB device.   I read only so that my drive to be recognized by the host, it must be ext3 or FAT32.  NTFS would be 'read only '.  I was hoping I could format the external drive through the ESXi (by command line), but maybe I'm deceiving myself.

Since then, my mac does not detect any external hard drive I plug in it even if these drives are detected by the PC and all the files inside. I tried to open utility disk where the hard drive is displayed but the 'volume' located below is gray. When I try to hit mount said volume that nothing happens. All I could do to fix this?

  I understand that you are unable to detect any external drive that you plug into your MacBook Pro, since you upgraded to macOS Sierra.  How many external hard drives work?  How they are formatted?   If formatted for PC, they would not necessarily be able to be read by a Mac.

  You have a small empty external drive or USB key that you can test?  Formatted in Mac OS extended (journaled).  Using the Finder, you are able to see the external drive and drag a file to it?

  It is really strange. I use the external DVD drive (DL) using the same cable. I tested it with several units (old Satellite 1900, Tecra M1 and also new Qosmio G20) and everything works perfectly.

  Check the power supply to the external HARD drive.

  Unfortuantely, Apple did not update the firmware on the USB key (it is still 2.0) port on their routers for a number of years.  As a result, new USB 3.0 drives may or may not work with airports.

  Yes, we know that USB 3.0 is supposed to be backward compatible with USB 2.0 in theory, but theory does not always work in practice.

  If your drive is formatted as Mac OS extended (journaled)... also called HFS +... .and you have tried the drive with and without a USB hub powered and the reader will not be displayed with you check using the AirPort Utility disks tab... then you have one of a number of readers who do not work with routers from the airport.

  I just checked a new LaCie USB 3.0 drive I have here. It works perfectly with a Mac, but it appears not at all when I connect it to the USB port or a powered new AirPort Extreme or new Time Capsule directly, or by using a USB hub.
