  I'm looking for an effective way merge two PDF files: one with all the odd pages scanned a book, one with all even-numbered pages.   You can use a large part of the script that was posted in the other thread and create a personalized out of it. In fact, it makes the script easier to understand, because all the "stuff" that is about adding menus and elevate the rights of scripts is no longer necessary.

  Given the instructions in my blog, you should be able to create this custom command and run it. To run it, the important part is that you load the 'weird' part of the document first, then launch the custom command and then select the item "same" document.

  Hi Brendan,

  According to the doc, the Section.pageNumberStart property is "valid only when continue the numbering is false," then you must rely on Section.pageStart instead.

  Now, given a Page, you have two useful properties,

  • Page.Name is a string that is the name of the page, which means usually only the page number (but it depends on the Section.pageNumberStyle.)
  • Page.documentOffset is the sequence of the page in the document index (while Page.index is the index within the spread, not relevant here.)

  Assuming that Page.name is correct for your project, simply interpreted as a number, then, to check if pgNum % 2 is 0 or 1.

• How to export only odd pages / pair only in PDF format

  I finished a press work whose copy was only on odd pages with a design on even pages (even on pages anyway). After that it was complete, the client decided they wanted a copy with only the odd pages to display on a screen at an event. I was looking for a way to export a PDF of only odd pages, but did not find. It was easy to do with printing in PDF format - here I could print only odd or even pages, or just not to print blank pages (after the removal of the content from the master page even side). Here, I learned that you should always use export instead of printing in format PDF - is - it possible (easy) to accomplish this task with export?

  I want to print all the odd pages with page 2.

  In this order, 1,2,3,5,2,7,2,9,2,11,2,13,2,15,2,17,2,19,2,21 etc.

  Basically, 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17

  And insert a 2 between each of them.

  Can do it with GREP - not a practical solution in the long term.

  Someone at - it a clever way to do this in Excel?

• LR4 - book Module - none of the custom formats?  Automatic layout works only on odd pages?  Bug reports.  Thoughts.

  I'm a photographer wedding and Portrait Professional & thought it may be useful to others & Adobe to share some thoughts and questions.

  I just ordered LR4 yesterday 3/7, as soon as I saw he is out =) I'll have the software delivered to me, but in the meantime, I downloaded the trial version of the LR4 which I started to play with today.  BTW is identical to the full version trial version but active only for 30 days?  Or some of its limited features?

  I had a few questions about the book module.  Some of them I think that are bugs.

  • I tested the automatic layout function.  It automatically layout, but only on odd pages, even pages are left in white.  Could not find a way to settle this.  (Updated, I like the white page feature, it gives extra room for manoeuvre to change the page layouts and for me it's easier to delete a page that Add.)
  • When you add favorite layouts I can't add page spreads to my favorites.
  • When I press tab to get rid of the side windows, I can't scroll further down in the book.
  • The navigation on the left and right arrow buttons do not directly work in the main screen.

  It would be nice to have more control over preferences in the book such as the particular custom formats Module.  As it is, it feels unusually restrictive.  That said I am very excited by the possibilities that this may cause.  From now on I'd still certainly the final layout in PS, but I hope I do the initial design approximate layout using this new book module.  Looks like it could save a lot of time and be much easier to do this step in PS.

  Let me first, I'm not an expert on ledger. Yes, I used it for a while, but many components of the module are much too dark for my taste. In fact, you have identified certain aspects that left me scratching my head for the months, not hours or days.

  1. Custom formats is not directly supported at the present time, but I understand that users will be able to create their own page/models using Adobe Illustrator. I can't say when this facility will be available well.
  2. To change a page layout (left/right pages, etc.), you need open the Preset automatic page layout editor. To do this, choose the form Edit Auto Preset layout from the menu editor drop-down preset (directly under the header Panel automatic layout)
  3. Have noticed this myslef, I don't remember if it is a bug or a design limit.
  4. Not seeing this problem, it works very well on Mac OS X. try clicking on the scroll bar to make it active, it may help.
  5. Yet once again, not seeing this problem, the left and right buttons in the main window of content move from one page to another.

  It is also interesting to note, in case you have not discovered yet, preferences located under the menu book book. This is where you define what metadata are used to auto fill in the areas of text (for example, title or legend).

  I expect that one or more of the other pre release testers who spent more time than me in this module will probably be able to fill the gaps.

• Help! Change to purge/margins of the even and odd pages in the same file?

  I'm outlining a children's book and the printer requires domestic files to be submitted in the unique layout (borderless). The binding margin side and bleed is different from upper, lower and the outer edges - essentially the pages reflect each other. How can I set up the document so even pages have a configuration option and odd pages have the mirror settings (without lining up as faced with pages in spreads)?

  When you make the book use facing Pages in the Document format. This will give you the Master Pages to a mirroring, called "facing pages".

  When you make the PDF using file > export and choose PDF but do not check the option 'Spreads '.

  PS noticed this happen only in duplexing for example all three pages and one page 3 print prints,

  turn off duplex printing, then 3 pages are printed. work around is to select pages 1-2 (instead of all), print, then select page 3-3.   Downloaded the new software of hp, re-downloaded printer drivers and print and scan doctor to no avali.

  lost my printer 'Fax', got loads of hp programs running, try to solve another day.

  I had a problem trying to print lists of film, most of the time the error is materialized by printing the first page and 1 position only on the following pages - error seems to happen when there are more than 2 pages.

  This error has / had been captured in xp and now I'm having the same problem in windows 8.1

  I already have this problem until I realized that she has not only in firefox

• Do Master odd Pages - not in the face of the Document Pages

  Had a look on the forums, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Got a 216-page document, which was created in the spread of 'Read the Documents' checked and models for the left and right has worked. Printer asked uncheck oriented documents and wanted on a single page, which ive done, but its applied all the master of left page. Is it all the same application of the master page to the right for odd numbers?

  I would now like to modify this script to apply only to one side of a series of two pages using the master page even spread. In other words, let's say I have 300 pages face to face using A template. I would like to import 150 pages in the odd-numbered (right side) pages of the spread (1.doc page is imported into page 1, page2.doc is imported to page 3, 3.doc page is imported on page 5, etc.).

  Is there an easy way to do this?

  Yes my brother, I was supervising the "page number" thingy was reused in the script from John to select a numbered Word file.

  Quick-and-Ever-So-slightly-Dirty: re - use the meter of the loop (page) but halve! (... and add 1 because the loops run from zero upward).

  I prefer to use the > operator here, rather than division, because Javascript is scrupulous about its divisions, an odd number like "3" by dividing by 2 will result in 1.5. Logic, but villain. Bit shifting the value 3 to the right ibehaves as 'divide', - rounded down the bit below, everything is lost.

  Fortunately, you don't have the odd numbers in your loop * here * but hey, you can reuse this script on the odd numbered pages!

  First check: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-bar-add-change-manage-search-engines-firefox

  If is not helping to change your search engine provider, you have a third-party program that has been on your search engine, home page or the default new tab page. Fortunately, this can be solved easily:

  1. Click the menu button

     

     and choose Add-ons.

  2. In the tab of the Add-ons Manager, select the Extensions Panel.
  3. Select the toolbar you want to delete.
  4. Click on the button Delete.
  5. Click "Restart now" if it appears. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.

  After restarting Firefox, install the Reset search tool. This will remove the rest of the traces of this program to your Firefox.

  For more information, please read delete a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the home page search.

  So also, it does not solve your problem, I recommend that you run scans with MalwareBytes and/or AdwCleaner:

  • MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware

  Hello terbow181, try the following steps after reinstalling firefox:

  1. Reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. then go to firefox > addons > extensions and where there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. Finally, run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to ensure that adware is not present in other parts of your system as well.

• Extremely slow WRT54G navigation pages @ 192.168.1.1 - this could be a problem with network card?

  Friend of mine is having the problems of Internet connection on his main PC which is hard wired to the router, it is using Comcast cable (18Mbit) and all of a sudden today the speed fell to dialup speeds, literally, however its ONLY this main with the issue of speed pc, there are 2 other computers connected wirelessly to the router, and they run at full speed during the test on speedtest.net

  Solve the problem, I tried bypassing the router and still have the issue of speed, so I can pretty much rule out the router, but as part of my troubleshooting whenever I try to access the router configuration pages via 192.168.1.1 but it is VERY slow to respond.

  For example when hitting enter after typing 192.168.1.1 it takes about 45 seconds to view the router configuration page, and then clicking on any other tabs takes 30-45 seconds longer to respond.

  So my main question with this post, is it possible that its network card went bad? What would cause really slow access to the configuration of the router?

  The PC is under Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit and Ive tried to run the network troubleshooter, uninstalled the network card in Device Manager / reinstalled the drivers but nothing seems to work.

  I also ran Malware Bytes and the analytical results were clean.

  Any ideas appreciated!

  can you 'borrow' a card? This is the only way to be sure, eliminating hours of trial and error procedures. one of the mega electronic stores is a good source, if it solves your problem you keep the card, otherwise there is the option to return

• My canon mg2200 printer does not display the odd page numbers
