WRT54GL Wireless no longer works

I have been using a WRT54GL for a few years with no problems. Wireless and wired connections all work fine. The other day, the wireless network has just stopped being seen. I am broadcast the SSID, but none of our devices see it connect. Connections wired work fine (use it now). Logged into the Admin Panel, no changes, no error. I have tried power cycling, try restart in the admin panel, no luck. No change to the settings on the computer, router or modem cable. Is something fries/worn out after years of use?

Thank you

Looks like the wireless radio is dead on your router. If you have tried to reset and update the firmware and it still does not trasnsmit wireless signal that means it's time for a new router.

Due to a hardware problem, I had to reinstall the operating system.  I'm running Windows 7 on an Inspiron 9300.  Initially, the PC had XP on it but works Windows 7 for several years and when I tried to reload the drivers from the OEM disk provided with the purchase, I received error messages.  The light Bluetooth enabled / disables the slot and off mode with the FN + F2 but the WIFI light, what has worked before you reinstall the operating system, is no longer lights up.  I can't find that the WIFI in the list of my network.  The driver for the Mobile Intel Chipset or drivers of wireless network will be set up.  I get the message that the operating system is different and on one of the installation of the tent a message that says "OS not found article in the INI (iProInst.ini) file.  Are there drivers available for the wireless network card that works on Windows 7?  The original PC configuration shows that an Intel 2200 Wireless Mini PCI card has been installed.  For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you, Andrew.  I downloaded the driver and it did not work at first.  However, it is ultimately the one I needed.  The I found on the networking forum and the first assignment was labeled 'Read Me First' from a K of Rick in it, he listed the measures to be taken if the BONE had to be fully installed from scratch.  He entered different drivers and the order in which they should be installed.  I found four points of recharge/reinstall in the list, he published and he did it in the suggested order.  The quick set button would not move I received a message from the "is not a supported system.  Setup cannot finish.   The wireless still doesn't work after you install the network driver (R155386) so I scanned the files that have been loaded and are hitched to C:\Dell\Drivers\R155386\XP\Drivers and found the DPInst32 file (there is also a 64 bit one).  It's the driver package installer and after execution of this fact, a series of drivers have been installed and the light launched WIFI.  Once I went to my network implementation and setting up wireless setup, everything works now and I have access to the network.  Thanks again for the answer so quickly and put me on the right track.

  • Wireless no longer works on my e2000

I'm not a computer genius, but I inferred that my wireless worked fine for 1 month (how long I got the router), and after that my computer fell asleep today for the millionth time, because I was surfing during the cleaning process, the wireless connection ceased to appear. I unplugged and reset everything, but could only connect by unsecuring wireless. I can connect with a wire, well, very well. I'm afraid to manually configure anything because I have a aspire one without a hard drive, and my router came easy keyless. It would not be a problem to use my computer hp pavillion laptop, but the * beep * thing has vista evil and said to get the service pack (but when I do, it still says the message of service pack) so will not take disc. I put the disk to install it on a flash drive to make my own key before, but it works now... someone can tell me as a child how the hell to solve this problem? Thank you, kindly

I SOLVED MY PROBLEM! HARD RESET: SOUNDS HARD, RIGHT? IT IS A LITTLE...

    1. disconnect all cables to your router EXCEPT electricity and internet

    2. hold the router very firmly between the knees (be careful to not press the buttons by accident)

3 use something to press the reset button and HOLD IT DOWN

    4. count up to 30 slowly

    5. without releasing the reset button, pull the other 2 jacks on and count to 30 slowly to new KEEP HOLDING

    6. without releasing the reset button, plug the power cord back into the router and Yes, count to 30 slowly again

7 connect the internet cable and configure your router, as if it were straight out of the box of good navigation!

  • Wireless no longer works on the range of HP CM1415fnw multifunction printers

I don't know when this problem started, the NETWORK card in the printer wireless seems to connect to the network, but there is no communication. He may have started with the last update of the firmware, but I'm not positive. I reapplied the last firmware that did not work.

I can see on my access point that the printer is connected successfully. If I plug in an ethernet cable, everything works correctly, so the network configuration is correct.

From what I found, it seems that you can not downgrade the firmware. Before calling HP, anyone seen this before or have suggestions?

    Thank you

    James

Lets first make sure you have the firmware update installed. Here is a link to the new firmware released in 02/2012: HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility , it appears there were some fixes network included in this package.

According to perform a power reset the printer:

    1. Press the power button ( ) on the HP product to turn it off.

  • Satellite A500 - 19 X - LAN wireless no longer works

    Can someone help me?

We set up our wireless router and everything worked well. About 3 weeks later, the laptop cannot detect wireless networks in the area (there 6 in the front area).

The switch is on, do a right click on properties on the device in the Control Panel indicates that it works properly, I can connect to the internet through the LAN cable between the laptop and the router and my work laptop is connecting wireless to the router with no problems. I also downloaded the latest driver for the correct wireless LAN... I am at a loss to know what to do next.

    Anyone got any ideas?

For me, this sounds like disabled WLAN card.
When the WLAN switch is set on IT, what would happen if you use the FN + F8 key combination?
You can activate the WLAN card it?

  • Computer laptop Pavilion dv6-7135nr - router wireless no longer works

I get a red X on the internet icon and my router is no longer will recognize all the networks. I called my ISP and my Belkin router manufacturer.  So I went out and rough a new Net Gear router. It still does not.  I called Net Gear, and they think it is my wireless card?

Is it possible to determine with certainty if it's a hardware problem?

Maybe I need to download a driver?

Is there a WiFi switch on my laptop?

I have to configure my new router?  I'm hoping to use my Belkin router, if it's just a driver problem, so I can pick up the new router and get my money back.

What are some first steps to take?  If you need more information, please let me know.   Thank you!

HP Envy m7 running Windows 10.

Thank you for your response, however, I've done some more research on my own and my keyboard like on/off switch.  It is the f12 key, which has this symbol ((i)).   I guess I accidentally typed on it not wireless. I typed it and the light turned blue and all is well again. Such a small simple thing that solved my problem. I'll try to find the button solved after this announcement.

    Thank you.

  • Touchsmart 310 1033 (Windows 7 Premium) computer: Wireless no longer works

I struggle to believe that HP does not have a better approach to the questions that a rude message telling a customer that his warranty has expired. If the warranty has expired, should be the end of the world?

My pc, Touchsmart 310 1033, running Windows 7 suddenly stopped wireless, about 6 months ago. I've not been around to attend to the problem, given that the network connection has been authorized with cable. Meanwhile, I had assumed that it was a simple thing, somewhere. But now, I start thinking that I'm wrong.

I'd appreciate a solution proposed by the community.

If you have a faild or defective wireless signal or the chip, and there is not much you can do, but you can buy a wyfy stick that resembles a Flash DRIVE or memory stick something like that and you can get your AIO to rework on wyfy

    Good luck

  • My wireless no longer works.

My computer did an update. It worked well on Saturday and when I tried to connect to internet on Sunday it didn't work anymore. All connections are on, but there is no connection between my computer and the box other than the cable.
I tried to restore to an earlier time, but it will not accomplish that there is an unknown error. I tried the new updates, I tried looking for drivers.
Tried to do a TCP / repair of IP stack that seemed to work, but after a short period of time is no more. What can I do? It's driving me crazy. This machine is less than 2 months old. The computer is not simply allowing a connection. I tried to connect to my phone hotspot and there is still no joy. Help, please!

2 disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery and then press in and hold the button for at least 1 minute.
3 reconnect the power adapter (do not connect the battery), press the power button and check is your problem is resolved or not.

  • Wireless card no longer works on Equium l20-197

    Hello

Initially, I posted the problem I have on the US site, I didn't know that there was a site for europe.
The long and short of it is my wireless card no longer works
Here are the details on the hyperlink below and solutions of attempts, none works so far

    http://forums.Toshiba.com/T5/networking-Wi-Fi/wireless-problem/m-p/158046/highlight/false#M9476

    If someone can add something?

    Thanks in advance
    Kevin

    Hello

According to the post in the US forum, the WLan card is not visible in the device under network adapters Manager. Right?
You can see an unknown peripheral or Ethernet controller in Device Manager?

If so, then check this Toshiba HowTo identify the unknown device:
[How to identify an unknown device (e.g. LAN wireless module)? | http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78]

If you don t have any unknown devices and if the WLan card still isn't in the list, then I guess the WiFi chip is defective.

In this case I recommend using a solution just as the use of external USB WLAN.
