WS370 Precision doesn't have a network card?
I have a WS370 precision running XP Pro SP2(recent purchase from Dell Auction). I'm trying to connect to my network home. Using the computer information of advanced scanner in XP Help and Support Center, it says that the network adapter is not installed. Device Manager lists under cards network, just a 1394 network adapter. I think it's on my sound card. I have a Creative Audigy Audio Processor. Some of the research that I did, some sound cards have a connector for firmware. I look to the top of the map his tho. The back of my computer has a port for a network cable to connect, and the user guide shows (downloaded from Dell manuals)
I plugged the router and the socket at the back of the computer, but its does not work. I have restarted my computer several times. In network connections, the only thing appear is that 1394 under LAN or Internet high-speed connection.
Under the downloads section at Dell it lists two possible drivers. If I am able to install one of them the network card will then appear in Device Manager?
I appreciate any help I can get.

Hello
Looks like he doesn't have a wireless card, but his mother has 3 PCI Express x 1 slot (for cards such as network, sound, tv-tuner)
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01746799
You must use a computer PCI network card, such as
http://www.MSY.com.au/64-network-card
Since the machine is too old, I don't know USB wireless card is suitable or not. If you buy one, ask the seller to provide the driver for it.
Kind regards.

The list of the parts for your model indicates that there is a Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 WIFI wireless network adapter b/g/n 1 x 1 and BluteTooth 4.0 m2 combination.
These would be the links to the wireless and bluetooth drivers you need for this model of the wlan card.

I just installed a Windows 7 64 bit on my HP Pavilion DV6-7014nr (Professional), and now he is unable to detect any network. I checked the Device Manager and there is not even a tab for network cards and the only message I see on the diagnosis is 'install a driver for your network card. Windows does not detect a network card is installed correctly. If you have a network card, you will need to re - install the driver. "Where can I find the specific driver I need and how do I get it on my laptop without being able to use the internet on it? Also, I noticed under "Other devices" in Device Manager that almost everything under it has the yellow triangle mark beside him, as for ethernet, network controller, peripheral controller PCI USB controller, etc. Can I get help on this?
All the drivers for Windows 7 are displayed on your Support page. You can download the driver of network on another computer, burn it to cd (flash player probably would have not recognized without first usb drivers). Once get you internet works, you should see the page with the laptop and get the Chipset, USB, etc.
BTW-hope, you remember what wireless adapter you have since HP uses several on their computers laptops-Atheros, Ralink, Intel, etc. I had a DV6 last year - think he was Atheros. You could get just the Realtek driver ethernet and wire to connect for other drivers.

Hey Femi92
I suggest that you use a friends computer to go to your computer manufacturers website and search for your model number for the network vista drivers
Download and save to drive flash and then reinstall them using your computer

Hello
I want to get a lab and install an ISO of ESXI 5.5 image from scratch in a laptop Lenovo T430 16 GB of RAM. Everything appears normally, BOOT from CD, copying files, early and late services, appears "not found network card remember that you at least have a network card to connect to the system", there is only the choice to have an ABORTION. Any help? The card is one Intel (R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection.
What is strange to me if I installed a Windows 7 and after 10 VWworkstation, I can install a 5.5.without ESXI, even ISO problem
ANYhelp is welcome!
Jesus
Welcome to the community,
Please take a look at http://www.virten.net/2013/09/esxi-5-x-installation-on-intel-nuc-fails-with-no-network-adapters/ for more information on how to customize the installation image to recognize your network card. When you install ESXi as a virtual machine in VMware Workstation, it is not the physical NETWORK adapter which is presented to the virtual machine, but a virtual NETWORK adapter for which ESXi uses built-in drivers.

Create multiple virtual machines with 2 network cards
Hey guys -.
Been researching some scripts of difference but did not find one who will help me in my situation.
I'm looking for a script that will allow me to clone model and apply network settings to 2 network cards.
1 clone Vms + 20 model
2 Let me send it to a particular lun (using a few LUNS to available)
3. choose a custom unique specification
4. apply intellectual property on 2 NICs (primary and backup).
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank you
Sorry to lose this thread out of my sight.
What follows is an attempt to meet all the conditions you listed.
$numberOfVM = 20$baseVMName = "VM"$templateName = "Template"$osCustName = "MyCust"$IPBase1 = "192.168.1."$IPBase2 = "192.168.2."$IPMask = "255.255.255.0"$IPGate1 = "192.168.1.254"$IPGate2 = "192.168.2.254"$IPDns1 = "192.168.1.100"$IPDns2 = "192.168.2.100" # Target resourcepool$resPool = Get-ResourcePool -Name Resources # Get the template$template = Get-Template -Name $templateName # Create a copy of the OS Customisation SpecTry { Get-OSCustomizationSpec -Name tempOSCust | Remove-OSCustomizationSpec -Confirm:$false -ErrorAction Stop}Catch {} $osCust = Get-OSCustomizationSpec -Name $osCustName | New-OSCustomizationSpec -Name tempOSCust -Type NonPersistent # Clone the number of requested VM1..$numberOfVm | %{ # Find the datastore with the most free space $ds = Get-Datastore | Sort-Object -Property FreeSpaceGB -Descending | Select -First 1 # Update the OS Customisation Spec NIC parts with the IP addresses Get-OSCustomizationNicMapping -OSCustomizationSpec $osCust | Set-OSCustomizationNicMapping -Position 1 -IpMode UseStaticIP -IpAddress "$IPBase1$_" ` -SubnetMask $IPMask -DefaultGateway $IPGate1 -Dns $IPDns1 -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue | Out-Null Get-OSCustomizationNicMapping -OSCustomizationSpec $osCust | Set-OSCustomizationNicMapping -Position 2 -IpMode UseStaticIP -IpAddress "$IPBase2$_" ` -SubnetMask $IPMask -DefaultGateway $IPGate2 -Dns $IPDns2 -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue | Out-Null # Create the new VM New-VM -Name "$baseVMName$_" -Template $template -OSCustomizationSpec $osCust ` -Datastore $ds -ResourcePool $resPool | Out-Null}
The script will create clones of $numberOfVM of the model. The virtual machines will be created at the root of the bunch, and they will be called VM1, VM2...
The OSCustomizationSpec needs to exist and must have 2 network cards.
The script finds the data store with more free space to create each virtual computer.
Addresses IP of NIC are consecutive, for example on NIC1 you get 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2... and so on.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I have two network cards available for my management network. More 'design' documents that I saw an active set to NIC and the other in standby mode. What is the advantage of this approach compared to their definition both active? Suppose I have no limitation of NIC and these 2 ports are dedicated to management only.

If you have no other exchanges on this vSwitch then you can leave them as an asset with no problems.
Sometimes, the VMK vMotion interface is placed on the same vSwitch as VMK and if yes, it is good to separate them for different vmnic with active / standby.
