• WUSB600N wireless adapter does not work if hooked up to Windows startup

  I have the adapter WUSB600N wireless, and I use it with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I use the latest available driver, 3.0.10.0. When Windows first starts, the adapter does not work properly and is unable to connect to any network, regardless of how long wait. If I unplug it and plug it back after that Windows is already running, I don't have this problem. This does not work when the "reboot" of the machine; only when turning the power off and then on again.

  Do you have an error message when attempting to connect to the wireless network?

  Try to uninstall and reinstall the wireless card and see if that helps you.

• WUSB600N v2 - no visible 5 GHz channel on Windows 8.1

  Windows 8.1 will see and install the MS to the WUSB600N V2 drivers, but does not display the 5 GHz channel.

  The solution I've seen other people to refer here is to update the drivers for the current versions of Windows 7 Linksys through the Device Manager, but when I attermpt it I get a message that "the best drivers are already installed for your device" and nothing is updated.

  Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  Gah - the solution almost immediately, I am sure that everyone here already knows. He chooses the right "update drivers" option that did it. Latest drivers currently installed and 5 GHz band is very well.

• UBUNTU + WUSB600N v2 WORKS!

  I thought some of you would like to know that you can get the WUSB600N v2 works on Ubuntu (I'm on Karmic)

  What to do:

  (Kudoz to Yohanna Chastre of the forum Ubuntu Launchpad)

  1. download and save the module RT3572 (glance on the Ralink site, support, Linux)
  2. open Terminal, go to the download folder (or anywhere where you you saved the file and run "bunzip2 2009_1222_RT3572_LinuxSTA_V2.3.0.0.tar.bz2" without the "")
  3. in the same terminal with the command "tar - xvf 2009_1222_RT3572_LinuxSTA_V2.3.0.0.tar".
  4. the cd in the 2009_1222 folder *.

  5 gedit common/rtusb_dev_id.c and scroll down until see you an article that begins with #ifdef RT35xx

  then go further to the bottom and add BEFORE the #endif follows the line "{USB_DEVICE (1737 0 x, 0 x 0079)}", without the quotes

  don't forget,

  Save the file (basically you have added the vendor and device id
  6 gedit os/linux/config.mk and set the following flags yes 'y '.

  HAS_WPA_SUPPLICANT HAS_NATIVE_WPA_SUPPLICANT_SUPPORT

  HAS_QOS_DLS_SUPPORT HAS_DOT11N_DRAFT3_SUPPORT

  HAS_DOT11_N_SUPPORT HAS_STATS_COUNT

  exit and save

  7. in your terminal, run the following (without the quotation marks)

  "sudo make."
  'sudo make install '.
  You will get some error messages about the size that... just ignore

  8 run the command 'sudo modprobe rt3572sta ".

  You're not going to believe but the blue led lights and you will find the NIC under ra0

  The only problem that remains is that your SSID must be on the Broadcast, otherwise it won't work.

  I now connect to N (5.0 Ghz) with WPA2 encryption active Strip and a strength of connection of216Mb/s

  Update:

  If you have installed the latest update for Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic), you will notice that the NETWORK card no longer works...

  Just go in your tar UN folder (BTW, under point 4 is bad, should be the cd in the 2009_1214 folder)

  sudo make

  sudo make install

  sudo modprobe rt3572a

  and you're back in business

• WUSB600N stuck in the region 2 countries

  Hello

  I bought a v1. WUSB600N for win XP sp3 recently for no reason apparent, he found himself in the #2 region (ch 36 to 64) when I use WZC or same netstumbler to display networks. I tried to uninstall/reinstall driver, tried to use the ralink driver and even a different usb600n, but the problem remains.

  Check the INFs shows that all the drivers are trying to install as region #0 (36-64 + 149-165), but they are still displayed as region #2

  Has anyone struck this and found a way to make it work again?

  case opened for 1 week to Linksys support, nothing... ill wait, did some more research and myself, using linux with the drivers adapted ralink (ISO backtrack4) via the iwpriv command to breath on the location of the channel in the fixed eeprom (Yes, it is possible...). He forced in region 7 (36-165) for region 5 for 802. 11B and 802. 11a / g (1-14).

  I will not list the command specific here fear that people are going and eat their EEPROM memory (kids Yes, you can kill the card at all times), but for those who may need to do this, certain keywords would be "iwpriv e2p" and 'CountryRegion byte Offset' in rtmp_init.c (which is publicly available)

  Running a wifi 5 GHz N on the stick of Linksys, leading to the signal strength low and reduced its speed.

  I checked the possibility of automatic channel selection and channel 20-40 establishments width (automatic channel selection does NOT work correctly from either). I still have the experience that the stick has lower than intel one signal. regardless of the setting of the router firewall

  After that I installed on Win7 OS, I can't find the management of energy saving WUSB600N on Windows XP I can see it in the following path: Wireless Network Connection Status > properties > General > configure > advanced > energy saving Mode. PS: I installed the latest version for OS Win7.

  Open the control panel in the start menu.
  Opened in the control panel power options.

  Note: If the Power Options is not available, change seen by large icons at the top right of the control panel.

  Click on the plan next to to change power management settings.
  Click on change advanced power settings.
  Click on change settings that are currently unavailable.
  Set the Mode of energy saving under the wireless adapter settings and then click OK to save the settings.

  The version number is written on the card itself. If you turn inside, you will find the model number of the adapter. After the model number, you can find the version number of the adapter.

  If the version number is not written on the card, then the adapter version 1.

• Wusb600n problem: no signal is detected

  Hey I have a problem here, so I recently bought a wusb600n for my office because I upgraded my router and wanted a faster connection. so when I installed this wusb600n there is no signal detected. I did reinstall the wusb600n but nothing has changed. I have been reading forums and nothing has helped. so I called cisco and they did the exact samething, I did and was told that a senior technician will help me the next day, which is today. No appeal was so now im, ask for help once more. This version 1 of wusb600n. Maybe the transition between wusb54GC messed wusb600n? So please help.

  clicked on properties of the wusb and it says its working properly.

  tried to connect to a network and no signal is detected

  wireless laptop works so you can't exclude that my router is the problem

  OK so I found what is the problem, it wasn't the wusb600n it was my firewall, zonealarm.

• New WUSB600N does not work after the end of the trial

  Everything worked fine initially.  After the trial period Basic is supposed to work.  Now, says Win 7 64 bit it not only does not recognize the device, but it is bad and must be replaced.  I went with Network Magic and it is said that he can not continue because this computer is not connected to the internet.   Its now a day later and several reboots because I removed the Linksys and Network Magic programs.  I was about to follow the instructions in the message above oumou.  Right now, I noticed activity on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.  He said pilots were being installed.  I watched and waited. Soon the wireless card started working as she had during the trial period.  Amazing!  Right now it works fine.  There is no Network Magic, fundamental or otherwise, but I'm happy so I close this post if I can understand how to do this.  See you soon.

• WUSB600N only loads the homepage

  I don't understand what is wrong. My WUSB600N card will load my page (msn) House and it will load perfectly. but then if I type a different site url or click a link then it will just freeze and say does not. a few times it will work fine for about 10 minutes but its getting pretty annoying. It works fine on the games, it's just when I try to browse the internet. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried to move it. I tried a different usb port. all members of my family have internet perfect except me, which is odd since im the only one with a Wireless N adapter, so I should work correctly now. It's my second linksys card that has a problem which is disappointing. IM starting to question the guys now...

  I have a WUSB600N on my XP Pro machine. You can see each router in the whole neighborhood, but mine. My router is a Linksys WRT300N. Can anyone help? Thank you.

  That did not work. I read elsewhere that on an XP box, the WUSB600n cannot see the WRT300N router.

  I know and have met loads of entries on the subject of WUSB600N Ver.2 & Windows 7 32 bit.

  But I can't, even after trying all the fixes here in the forum, get this WUSB600N thing to work.

  I installed it using the latest drivers Linksys/Cisco and I see it in the devices list correctly, without error, but no wireless connection is available in the bottom right network connections or even when I go to install a new network connection there is no mention of the WUSB600N map.

  I have however run they Zonelabs Internet Security, am I right that there is a problem with Zonealarm when you try to install the WUSB600N?

  Uninstalled Zonelabs Internet Security and all works fine now.

  Strange thing is that it happens also to Bel... Superisolants Wireless USB Adapter Ver.2 Windows shows it as being there, but it does not work until you uninstall Zonelabs.

  Really annoying to have to uninstall what whatsoever to get something to work.

  I am running Windows 7 Professional on a Gigabyte MB with an AMD Athlon X 2 processor. My problem is that I can't get the systΦme can recognize the internet adapter WUSB600N (IA), when I try to run the Setup program from the installation disk.  This AI worked very well when I was running Windows XP, and it was running to 130 Mbs.  I am able to connect to the internet, but the speed is 54 Mbps.  I think that Win 7 recognizes the AI, but at a slower speed.

  Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

  What version of Windows 7 OS installed on your computer 32-bit or 64-bit? You can download the drivers from linksys for Windows 7 website and then update the drivers on your computer and then try to connect to your wireless network and check the speed of your computer.

  I hope someone can help, I have an adapter wireless WUSB600N Ver2.0.  It connects OK for my router WAG320N using Wireless protected Setup.  Unfortunately, sometimes when the PC into hibernation it reconnects to the network unsecured, despite having 'saved me' the closest connection.  Is there anyway that I can prevent this?

  Yes, I'm talking about wireless zero XP.

  I noticed no gain with use of netwizard linksys, so I removed all additional software of linksys, just kept drivers and used the XP tool.  Works like a charm

• WUSB600N with WRT610N

  Hi all

  I just bought these two devices because the way I understood it, I would be able to use the two bands simultaneously to perform different tasks. IE streaming video on the 5 GHz while transferring the files/navigation on the 2.4 GHz. This has been made clear as a feature of the WUSB600N datasheet which can be found here (or here in the case where the link goes down)

  For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to do, so I called technical support and while the lady was nice, his response was basically "no matter what the datasheet, you can not do this.

  She is good? The adapter allows the two bands at the same time at all and even less to perform two independent tasks? If not, what is the advantage of having double adapters band when I use the 5 GHz band anyway?

  Yes, there are some advantages...

  The 2.4 GHz band has a greater range (distance), but like an idiot, there are many devices making use of this frequency band (i.e. the potential disturbances in the signal). Another advantage is the compatibility of all 'old' adapters Wireless 2.4 GHz.

  The 5.0 GHz band has a shorter range, but is active in a group that is less crowded, and you have more channels available, so there is more room if there is no other competing routers in the same band.

  But if you have only one PC / server, it's a bit much IMHO.

  Using two NIC on the same PC/server will you no good either, as I know, windows cannot manage (optimize) multiple network cards.
