X120e degradation in the quality of the Image/video

Hey guys, first post on the forums here.

I recently made the switch from my old macbook to a Lenovo x120e (I was happy to try all the new developments of Lenovo/Microsoft ), and ran into an annoying problem.

My laptop has been running great, and everything was great, except that the graphics have become worse when I bought my x120e two months ago first. I suspect that this could be a software problem, since it sort of has coincided with an update of the systems. I hope that it is not a hardware problem...

If anyone else has had the same or similar problem, so I would be very happy if you could make light of the object.

Thank you!

Hello

A few things to do, in no particular order:

Hopefully one (or all) the steps above will receive your graphics to where they should be.

Kind regards

  • Degradation of the image by converting to DNG files?

My camera generates NEF files. I usually copy as DNG when I import them into Lightroom. This process does change my image somehow?

I love that DNG is an open format, but I don't want to degrade my images.

    Thank you

    Daniel

If you choose lossless compression when you convert to DNG format, not a single pixel has changed in your image.

Of course, if you choose lossy compression, then the image has changed, although in almost all cases, you'll have a hard time, except if you look really hard seeing her.

Check the preferences of the application (properties) and see if the display is set to smoothing.

In some cases, it's better to uncheck smooth images and or line drawing.

Note I use the Mac version of this preference window, but there should be a windows version of the menu.

  • The image quality of MacBook Air vs Pro

    Hello

    I just bought a MacBook Air 13 "and I got a MacBook Pro 13" (non-retine) till now.
If I compare the image quality between Air and Pro there is a difference of contrast and sharpness of the colors. The monitors setting is the same on both Macs, the Air is even supposed to have high resolution (1440 x 900 instead of 1280 x 800, the MacBook Pro). Graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB vs 4000 in my MacBook Pro.

Anyone know if there is a difference in both computers display technology, or if this could be a problem in my Macbook Air?

THX in advance and best regards

    Products and specifications:

    MacBook Air (13 ", Anfang 2015)

    Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

LCD display is different between Pro and Air. Don't know which group is better.

How to make a simple slideshow DVD of a group of .jpg images?  No music, no fancy transition. iDVD > magic DVD comes close, but the quality is poor and I want the images in a specific order.  I also have iLIFE ' 09, which includes iPHOTO

    1. put the image files you want in the slide show in an album and genre as you want. Follow the Apple document to prepare images for iDVD: iDVD ' 09 (7.x): preparing images for iDVD slideshows

2 - Launch iDVD and select an older theme, not animated.  You can change the background of the theme by dragging the image file of your choice, black or other, in the display pane for the menu.

3 - Click on the button '+' and add a slideshow from the menu.

    4. double click on the sideshow button to enter the mode of construction of the slide show.

    5. in the media pane click the Photos button.

6 - click on iPhoto and find the album you created with selected images.

    7. Select all images in the album and drag to the left in the slide show window.

8 - Select the transition for the slideshow and the time for each slide on screen

9 - follow this workflow to help ensure the best DVD video qualty:

Once the project you want it save it as an image disk via the menu file → save as Disk Image . It will separate from the process of encoding of the burning process.

To check coding mount the disk image, launch a DVD player and read it.  If it plays OK with DVD, encoding is good.

Burn burn to disc with utility disk or toasts to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality.  Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.

  • The image quality/size

Need to reduce the quality of the picture and size on the Iphone 6 s more to take pictures of works that I can download in databases work. Current settings are to large.

There's not a way to do it on the phone (that I know).

You must import photos to a computer, then change the image size/quality before their download to your working database.

  • On the image in print quality

Sometimes, you will notice that when you print an image it does not appear as expected, the colors are just a little off - step as vibrant as you want it to. There is a reason for that, and that's because when you transfer an image on your computer the colors for the image change slightly.

In the real world and in printing, the colors come from three primary colors - Cyan (light blue), Magenta (Pink) and yellow.  Then there is black which gives depth and a sound signal (CMYK).  However, on your computer screen, you're dealing with a different method. Most of the screens are made up of small LEDs that flash at very high speed to give you the colors you see. These diodes are blue, red and green (RGB).

Now, these two color combinations are very similar, this is why there is not a radical change, and for some, this change might not be noticeable. Here is an example of printing from the computer-

While this image is superb, the tones in some areas are a little more muted due to how the file was subtly shifted from CMYK to RGB. Now, you can find the details of this image by carefully creating presets for photo through various programs that essentially make up for this change, but there are other easier methods, I found.

The first of them is to use ePrint. If you have a printer with web functionality, send the photo via email diretly to the printer cancels the transition and renders the image as it was originally. Not all printers have this feature, but it is becoming more common on many newer models often.

The other method is one that you can use your printer directly if you have a card reader / USB port. Imbernon or load the image on one of these devices you can print again directly avoiding the color conversion. This will give your images a more pristine quality. Take a look at the same image printed directly from a USB key.

Just a little more dynamic and has just a touch more in detail. To get the best quality and results, sometimes it requires outside the box thinking. Generally this method will provide you with great results without any necessary error.

However, it is important to note that if you want to convert or use a format other than .jpg, it won't work, and you try to change the settings on the program that you use to compensate for the shift in color.

  • The image quality with the Canon 5Dmark 2 vs... The 5Dmark3?

I use Leica lenses on a canon with an adapter body.  Is the image quality with the Canon 5Dmark 2 vs.the 5Dmark3 similar?  A reason to get one against the other?  I like the idea that I can change the viewfinder on the Mk 2 screens. Any overwhelming improvement in the 5Dmark 3 that would justify the review?  Thanks to those who have used the two boxes.

The main advantage of a Mk3 on the Mk2 is the AF.  Most points and it can focus with f/8.   If your Leica lens is manual focus, then you would not care to this topic.  3 5 has a bit of an advantage in the ISO but not a huge factor.  Another one, I'd say that IQ is the same.

I took a video on my Android phone that is currently playing in Windows Media Player 90 to the horizontal. I tried to watch the videos on VLC Player, but the image quality is very poor on this player. I have Windows XP Home Edition so the moviemaker product will not work. Are there other options available to get my videos to play properly?

You can rotate the video to display in VLC media player:

Open an it... then video and pause go to...
Tools / effects and filters / video effects tab / geometry tab.
Select the check box turn / slide the circle / close / play.

If you want the video permanently turned... Movie Maker
worth a try, but you will need to convert the video to the

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
Drag FFSetup280.exe out of the folder

Next, after the download and installation of Format

left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

    That should do it...

  • How to increase the image quality screenshot in the output of the PSR utility file.

Former title: improve the quality of the Screen Shots when using ESP

Is there a way to improve the quality (sharpness/readability) of the results

of the routine use of the psr.  The quality of the text looks faded even on my

monitor and also when printing.  Icons also appear dimmed and lack of sharpness.

I realize that the screenshots can be 'zoomed' on, but does not

    Hello Ann,.

Welcome to Forums Community Microsoft and we are happy to know that you have chosen Windows 8.

According to the description of your question, the texts on the screenshot of the images in the output file of the problem step recorder (PSR) utility appears to be faded and are not very clear on the computer screen and as well as when they are printed.

This happens because the screenshot images are small in size when they are incorporated into the PSR output file. However, these screenshot images become larger size, when you click on it and you'll be able to read all the texts in the screenshot image. You can click on images to its original size. When all images find its original size, try printing it and check if you are able to get a clear printed to have images of screenshot with a readable text.

Note: once you close the output file and re - open again, the screenshot images are once converted to get its original size and smaller images, you may need to click the pictures again.

Hope this information is useful. In the future, if you have any questions or problems related to Windows, you can feel free to post on the Community Forums of Microsoft and we will be happy to help you.

  • Unhappy with the quality of an image that I fired

Hello. I have an AdobeStock_60091673 license. When I saw the file in photoshop to 100% of the size of the background image is not not strong, its like if they used some lowres elements in their edition, and I can't use this image of quality, if I need to expand it a bit, it's just starting to look horrible. There are also some pixelation in the color gradients. Please could you credit me - I'll get another rather appropriate Imaging. Thank you.

    Hello

Please try the image of the license.

In case you're just clicking on preview, you will get only a low resolution image. Please click the link highlighted in the screenshot below:

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

  • Loss of quality when the image resizing

I want to resize an image to make it smaller, but going to the size of the image and use that diminishes the quality. My original image is 370 x 193 pixels. How do I resize without quality loss?

Are what resampling method you using?  Automatic work probably, but you start with a certain file smale, so going smaller is forced to lose details.

  • quality of the images?

What quality are the images of adobe stock?  I need a minimum of 300 dpi of resolution - would call the stock images?

Yes, the photos are 300 dpi.
