X201t Core 2.67 GHz i5

I have problems with my X 201 t when you use Skype and any dissemination of video online. The sound quality is poor and video often impossible.

I have another computer running windows 7 (Macbook/Bootcamp) and who has no problem at all. It appears therefore as a Lenovo hardware problem. I tried all the usual internet temp drain and program deletions of records. I also used Tuneup Utilities program, but it doesn't always work well.

This flaw makes the X201t a tool totally useless businness for mobile work for me.

Solutions/suggestions welcome/desperately!

I found a solution

Boot exteranal umbuntu showed that the computer was fine, as did dual boot another copy of windows 7.

Trying to avoid more time admin I persisted in trying to solve rather than to go for a clean install and finally found that it was the problem. It was the process PresentationFontCache.exe aspire CPU power and apparently affecting other processes.

http://blog.tune-up.com/Myth-Buster/the-case-of-the-mysterious-presentation-font-cache-CPU-hog/

"Once I stopped * PresentationFontCache.exe" the CPU usage fell to less than 10% (close to 100%) and the computer works since like a rocket without any problem

Thanks for your help

While trying to study for server + cert I picked up a PowerEdge R710 with an installed L5506 .  While half asleep at the reading of all the tech manuals I could locate on the configuration of the RAM I ordered ram and other treatment of E5507 (thought I was ordering the same processor that has been installed but messed up and ordered E5507 not the L5506).  Was tired of trying to let all the rules concerning the memory locations to use and served a bit worrying type of socket being this is the first time I will address a multi processor main Board.

Is it possible to have both installed on the R710 Board or they play well with each other?  It seems they would be not based on information from another forum and something on the site of CPU upgrade.

    Hello.

The SLBKC of E5507, Xeon Quad - Core Intel 2.27 GHz is not a supported on the R710 server processor. When you use more than 1 CPU, processors must match in each specification. See below taken processors supported on this server. Consider buying another L5506 treatment instead.

No BIOS updates to the still for your 320-1030 TS, based on 'Software downloads & Driver for HP TouchSmart 320-1030 desktop'. Do not expect to see an update that supports a CPU "unlocked" as HP does not generally support this configuration.

as you can realize it my knowledge is limited

    Hello a happy,.

If I understand correctly you want to add an additional to the computer hard drive so that you have both the original drive that it comes with as well as the hard drive you want to install. If this is the case you can very definitely!

This link can help you install the drives in the computer once you have it.

  • Satellite P100-compatible Pentium 4 2.8 GHz is?

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100 18 months, with a processor clocked at 1.6 GHz (no dual-core) and want to know if this phone will work with happiness if I get a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor or it will damage the motherboard?

    See you soon
    Wacky

May I ask why you want to replace the dual-core Intel clocked at 1.6 GHz with the old Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz?
For me it makes no sense because the Dual Core 1.6 GHz is much faster than the P4 2.8 Ghz.

The name says it all; Double heart means two cores of CPU at 1.6 GHz. SO if you would add the performance of two hearts, will get it better performance than the Pentium 4 2.8 GHz.

By the way; as far as I know the P4 supports a different presentation so it s is not compatible with the card!

    Hi ChrisU_72,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion Notebook e118dx 17 and switchable graphics. Here is a link to a Overview of the switchable graphics. Your system will be automatically transmitted to the base of Turbo when necessary. It is not recommended to change the graphics because it could burn the graphics card.

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion dv6-3120us Entertainment Notebook - Core Upgrades?

Hello, I have a Pavilion dv6-3120us Entertainment Notebook with an AMD Turion II P540 Dual - Core 2.40 GHz Precessor and I was just wondering if there is a way to update to a certain type of quad core processor? I want to play this game (nether) and one of the required minimum requirements is a quad core 2.4 GHZ processor. Ive played the game, but it does not work smoothly (obviously). I don't want to have to buy a new laptop to play the game (for the price) so any advice?

Try to put a new processor in a laptop is also very expensive and difficult, and the problem is not the processor, but the video. Laptops don't just generally improves for games for something like a reasonable expense.

  • Area 51 - R2, 5960 x 4 GHz only does 3, 8 GHz in prime95

I have a new system that is factory clocked at 4.0 ghz and I see that the first 2 of 8 cores are the other 6 to 3.8 ghz and 4.0 ghz.

When I go into the command center it also says 2 profile active and first 2 nuclei is at 4.0 ghz. I know he will only leave it to 4.0 ghz turbo mode and when his stressed out to the Max, but when I do prime95 for a few hours, it always goes to 3.8 GHZ and not details. Also, when I try to put any other base on 4.0 ghz I get blue screens even if I put only on 3 core 4.0 ghz in bios or in the command center.

I got this system so I could overclock with the dell software provide to overclock this system. None of the owners of area 51 with CPU even become stable clocks to 4.5 ghz to 4.7 ghz on air. I want to only go to 4.2 ghz.

Why give software for voltages for CPU and RAM if it can not be used in anyway? Is there a tutorial on how to overclock R2 Area-51 safely? If is not then its GBP £4400 in the sewers and ask for a refund!  and why does never go to 3.8 ghz when it said 4.0 ghz on the first 2 cores in the command center and in the bios?

    john_killswitch,

I've been playing with this a bit more and overclocking to a value greater than 40 MHz works and seems to be pretty simple.

First of all, it probably should be reading an article to see what you can reasonably expect. I found it to be very helpful.

Then open the Alienware command center, go to the control panel of overclocking, set the ratio to a value you want to try to change voltages CPU (for now) less than 1.3 auto. You can get an idea of what speed/voltage combinations to try section of Anandtech.

Thirdly, load the CPU with wPrime to see if things are stable and if you hit your desired frequency. When you find a combination that you are satisfied, you can save it.

It is not so complicated, so it give a try. In my case, I can up to 47 MHz on all hearts but settled on 45 MHz to 1.25 Volts at the moment.

  • Windows 7 on a single Core processor

    I have a celeron (core) 2.0 Ghz;

    RAM - 2 GB (DDR2)
    Hard drive 160 GB
If I install windows 7 ultimate, if he runs fast?
    Please tell me...
I need to use photoshop, netbeans and other related applications,
    It works well?

    It will work...

Celeron is not the cpu performance and are at the bottom of the core performance charts.

To make up for it a bit, you will need to more memory, double what you have now.

Your graphics card can let you down too. What is it?

  • processor power. i5? Quad core?

Hello, this question has been buggin me for awhile! When you buy a computer, the said processor is dual core, i3, i5, or i7. What do these numbers mean? An i7 will be also called a quad core or a core of six. And that, to me, does not make a lot of sense... yet.

    Hi Tim,.

Double heart (meaning two) has two chips of treatment in the processor. Core quad (four) has four of them. All the carrots are on the same chip. Then, they share the same memory and the path of data in the motherboard. Thus, a chip image may be able to execute instructions four times faster than the dual core.

Intel i3, i5, and i7 processors first and second generation with represents divisions low-end, mid-range and high level of the nucleus, which is Prime Minister brand of Intel Corp. semiconductor company of consumer CPUs from mid-2011. As a result, three computer chips contain several notable differences. In addition, the Intel Core i7 has a subcategory called Extreme Edition performance based.

Core I7s are preferable to the Core i5s, who in turn are better than Core i3s. Nope, Core i7 does not seven to six hearts or Core i3 has three nuclei. The numbers are simply indicative of their relative processing powers.

Their relative level of processing power is also meant their side Star Intel processor based on a set of criteria involving their number of cores, clock (in GHz) speed, size of the cache, as well as some new Intel technologies.

    Hope this information was useful.

  • Processor AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core

I want to update my previous post. HP support has just informed me that my processor has four-processor 1.8 ghz, integrated into a processor and it will run to approximately 6 GHz. From my calculations, if that were true, it should work to 7.2 ghz. It seems that I get a different answer depending on who reads my email. What I want to know is can I run a TV tuner card thatrewuires a 2.2 ghz processor, but I can't get them to answer this question. Help!

I just replied to your previous post:

Everything I've seen says a 1.8 ghz processor, but it's a Quad Core. Probably the specs say you need a processor 2.2 ghz P4 or something like that. The processor you have is much faster than a single core 2.2 ghz cpu. I would be shocked if she can't handle a tv tuner.

You can only install the processor AMD Phenom 9350 X 4 in addition to what you have. It is 2 ghz and not worth the hassle of upgrading.

HP response is not exactly true. You can't just multiply by the number of hearts clock speed... it's not as simple as that. But in the concept, it is true that a Quad Core (4 processors on the same chip) is much faster than 1 core the same speed as I said above. You have a very powerful computer. There is never the fastest for more than a day or 2 it seems but yours is certainly in the top 4 or 5% of all the computers in the House over yonder. Next year, it will be in the top 10% and the year after, etc.

  • SOUL using only 1 core

I recently changed from Premiere Elements to Premiere Pro, so I'm new to the Media Encoder.

Problem: It is extremely slow, for example making more than 2 hours on a sequence of 14 minutes, not too compex.

    On a Windows 7 (64-bit) PC with an Intel core-i7, 8 cores @ 2.8 GHz, 12 GB of RAM,

GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 770, latest drivers, Cuda enabled in Premiere Pro + TEA.

    1080p@30fps, 2-pass VBR, H.264, 15 to 25 Mbps

So now, I have detected, that the SOUL is just with 1 bit on 8, others almost inactive.

Premiere Pro is closed, no other big programms running who could 'gather' processor cores.

But when I directly in Premiere Pro (do not use the queue feature), encoding is WAY faster--about 45 minutes for the same project.

Because Premiere Pro use all 8 cores and the GPU.

As I could not find the settings in the SOUL on the parameters of the stress system or something, I now wonder what the problem is.

I want to use the functionality of queue of the SOUL, but the speed is also very important.

    Anyone who can help?

    Thanks in advance!

We look at this issue now.  To work around this problem, please try running SOUL body before.  For now, please use this workaround that worked for many users.
