  I unboxed this laptop today and the touchpad works not very well which requires often a few seconds of "stirring" before it will work. He's also pretty nervous.

  I have a XPS 12 (Q 9, 23, end of 2012) and I update Windows 10 Technical Preview almost a year ago.  He currently works very well except for one key element... the trackpad (touchpad).

  If I install the Cypress Trackpad driver for Windows 8.1 through the Dell support page for my model, it does not work properly and it floods my "Event Viewer" with errors.

  I just keep the uninstalled driver and I find myself with a trackpad dump that only titles and clicks with the physical button.  No tapping, no view, no guestures.

  I've been very patient for a long time assuming you work on Windows 10 compatible drivers for this laptop, but now he gettting close to the official release of Windows 10 and still no update in the driver download page.

  If you have an alpha or beta of the driver version, I'd be more than willing to test.  I really miss power 2-finger scrolling.

• mouse / trackpad medium sensitive & can not change

  My mouse / trackpad is so sensitive that he clicks on his own all the time. It does if often it is almost impossible to use the computer at all b/c he wants to always click on something and take you away from what you type. I guess it's the possibility of a click by tapping the trackpad went hyper.
  I tried to go to control panel - mouse, but there is no sensitivity setting. There is also nothing that appears when you do a search for "sensitivity", "trackpad", "touchpad" or even "pad". So, is there a way to fix this? Perhaps to lower the sensitivity or disable the click in typing option?

  Finally got to the Asus technical support. There was a missing pilot and now things work better. No idea how he wasn't there first place however.

  Hello

  Tool hand space key no longer works after update windows 8.1, the needle indicates but I can't pan, a little research leads me to believe that there is a problem with the touchpad disable certain gestures when the space bar is pressed to avoid the cursor jumps on etc. I can't do anything in the control panel for the touchpad. Is there a work around? I know that I'm not the only person having this problem.

  I would say by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Metro UI > settings > PCs and devices > Trackpad > Touchpad.
  2. Disable the Touchpad to delay.

  After that, check the same in Photoshop

  No, but the new version of the external trackpad is designed for ElCapitan, it can be used.  New version of the external wireless keyboard works also with ElCapitan.

• M5 - 581T: the touchpad or trackpad is inflated/lifting/bulging

  I use my new laptop (Aapire M5 - 581-T) for about 2 weeks and I noticed something that could become a serious problem. This new computer is purchased from a seller on Amazon as refurbished.

  The touchpad seems to be swollen/lifting/bulging. It takes about an hour (I think that when the unit is running) until I have to push the touchpad near the keyboard to set up.

  I'm afraid that could result from the battery may to bulging. However, I don't think that it is particularly hot and the battery level is almost at 2% (which isn't so bad) and up to 3 charge cycles. So I wonder...

  BTW, I completely recharged the battery once using a powerbank for laptop computers (which can provide the current 19V). If I used the camera with the AC adapter.

  The problem you describe is probably not related to the battery, but a problem with the touchpad clips seats and restraint that possibly keep. Also, since you bought it renovated, if it is dismantled and set up with a different screw, this could also be the problem. I highly recommend to contact technical support in your region for support.

  Look in Control Panel, change the view by: small icons at the top on the right. Now you should see Synaptics icon. Open it to configure Synaptics.

  I have two Magic trackpad (wireless), a couple of years; No will 2 fingers scrolling on my Mac Mini (try them for the first time on the Mini). both work fine on my other machines.  All machines are updated to the latest version of El Capitan, a lot of RAM.  Same settings trackpad on all machines.  The movement of the cursor trackpad, highlighting, click Select OK on the Mini, but no two fingers scrolling, without pinching to resize.  Have not checked all the possibilities, but lack of scrolling is a deal breaker.  Track pad update 1 is too old, have not found another.  Tried with mouse wireless on and outside.  A run first aid.  Reinstalled the system software.  Even enabled the scrolling options, the settings of the mouse.  Help!

  If two of your machines running El Capitan and touchpads are version 1 of Trackpad, it is probably the reason.   While versions more old mouse and trackpad will work to some extent, all the features with El Capitan requires the version of Magic Trackpad 2.   The MT2 has developed especially for El Capitan and later operating systems.   I know that it's a nuisance, but the new trackpad is levied directly on your machine and needs no battery.

  Theoretically, this terrible 'feature' is only available on the latest models of MBP... I opted for the mid-2012 13 "this time (I got a few Mbps) since this is the last model that still has the DVD player.

  SO there is no option 'force the click and haptic feedback' in my system preferences, BUT my GarageBand preferences for some reason any displays the option 'Enable touchpad touch force' with the GRAY-CHECKED box (which means that I can not turn the * @% & thing off)!

  I discovered its existence, while trying to understand why my GB kept popping up with a "feedback detection, turn monitor off? ' blurb that is so incredibly boring, because it appears when I even not record anything and even stranger than that is it pops up when I don't have even a 'live' or vocal instrument track in the air! So, when looking for how/where to address THIS issue, I came across the "Force Touch" thing (christ, the only words sounds like an assault or rape or something, I mean, right?); now I'm pretty sure that this thing is causing "feedback" notice pop up (, also keeps you prisoner until you do deal with it - yet another great added "characteristic", thank you very much oh no Apple brilliant makes this happen)... arrghhh!

  SOMEONE CAN ME SAY PLEASE HOW TO TURN OFF THAT AWFUL THING?
