Xoom compass

Anyone else have problems with the compass of the Xoom? Most of the I downloaded the applications that use it have the compass off the coast of 90 degrees (this may be because the standard Xoom orientation is landscape and phones are portrait). I hope updates but saw almost nothing about it on any of the Xoom advice and starting to wonder if my device is defective!

I'll keep an eye as well and let you know if I met a trusted application, you can test it with (I can validate myself as well). In the meantime, use Google maps and the GPS function works to see how your Xoom reacts to movement (walk around and check the orientation). It is the same technology used to drive a digital compass interface.

    It seems that the Compass app on your iPhone 5 is not calibrate after update to iOS 10. This looks like a problem that we can solve the problems.

    First of all, try to remove and reinstall the Compass application by following the steps in remove the built-in apps Apple from the home screen on your device iOS with iOS 10.

    You can restart your iPhone between the removal of the Compass application and put it back in the App Store -restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

    If the same thing happens after reinstalling, try enabling / disabling location Services and turn it on in settings > privacy > location Services.

    You can also try to switch the calibration of the compass defining more precisely, by going to settings > privacy > location Services > System Services.

    Let us know if this helps and we can offer you a few extra steps.

    I've always been in a position to the compass application, to view the current city and State, and the readings full of longitude and latitude, altitude and compass.  Currently, the compass reading is the only thing that is active.  Does anyone know how to activate the other views? THX

    Go to Settings/Privacy/rental Services, activate it if off, then do scroll to the compass and turn on the feature.

    Are you a black screen? If it's the problem run Firefox, then near the clock, there will be a 4-arrow icon, click on it and select "Stretch to fill screen" and restart the tablet. This will fix a problem with Android wrong suggesting Zoom to fill the screen for Firefox.

    By clicking on the "Android Zoom" and select "Stretch to fill screen" and restart the tablet. The "Zoom to fill the screen" breaks Firefox mobile and it's a shame Android this suggests for our application on the first run.

    We are working to solve this with the creation of our Tablet UI.

  • Calibrate the compass of the iPhone?

    I have a new iPhone OS (iOS 9.3). According to Google Maps, the streets of my neighborhood are perfectly North/South and East/West as close as my eye can detect, both within a few degrees maximum. But the compass in my iPhone shows them being about 15 degrees off the coast of true North or 30 degrees on the magnetic north. The magnetic declination at my location is about 15 degrees, it's consistent, but seems to be about 15 degrees off the coast.

    Is it possible to calibrate the compass of the phone? Or a compass of this kind is simply not terribly accurate? Or Google Maps is from afar? (The latter seems unlikely.)

    I found the web pages that talk about ball to do a bit of red to move around the screen, but I get only the ball. I tried to quit all applications, including the compass application and then launch the compass application, as suggested on one site, but I don't always get the red ball of calibration.

    What I am doing wrong? Or this version of automatic calibration and a little off?

    Calibration of the compass requires that location Services on. The phone detects if it is calibrated or not and will display the calibration screen if it is not.

    Rather than relying on Google Maps, get a real pathfinder compass and check the phone against it. Use the compass to draw a North-South line on the floor with chalk, away from any metal (including the iPhone), then check the iPhone against the line you drew.

    .. and it's not only the compass, maps also are no more change in driving direction. It seems to be a problem with the OS, I have the same problem with all applications using maps or directions based on the compass information.

    Disable location services

    Restart your device

    Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Then turn services sites and see if that solves your problems

    Like drago mentioned, there are file BT and WiFi, sharing applications on the market, but they don't allow you to share an Internet connection. You need to attach or a WiFi area reactive on the device of source of data (your Razr phone in this case) to enable connection sharing. In fact, I have a Razr phone Droid myself (provided by my company) and three tablets, including the Xoom FE. Since my company has their own data plan, they allowed the reactive capacity of Droid Razr so I can connect the Xoom FE when I use it for business purposes (for example presentations customer, site travel sellers, etc..). It's the only legitimate (and legal) way to share the data between devices phone plan.

    Please note the rules and political positions that bypass the agreements (e.g. sharing data from your phone without having to pay for the option).

  • Xoom buttons does not work in landscape mode

    Okay, so I already got basic measures to reboot, hard Boot (hold down the Volume Up and Reboot at the same time) and do a reset to the factory settings to try to resolve this issue, always have. Here it is:

    Recently without apparent reason, and when I'm in landscape mode, I can't interact with the "home" button, the "back" button, the Manager tasks and wake up. It doesn't matter what app I am or if I'm on the regular homescreen, they indicate simply that I'm in contact with them. The buttons are there, but it's as if there is simply no response from the user interface. IT IS ONLY IN LANDSCAPE MODE. Everything works well in portrait mode.

    I spoke with an agent who told me that I had to send it in for repair or replacement. It would cost me $150,00 to do. Tablet is not even really worth even more.

    It started to happen shortly after that I bought and started using a docking OEM with the Xoom.

    All your guys help would be greatly appreciated. This tablet is my only option to watch movies and netflix now. ; no TV. No one being not able to landscape mode and a few apps that I just can't leave if they force the landscape mode.
