«.. . We have revised the installation packages for MS10-015 with new logic that prevents installation on systems if there is certain abnormal conditions of the security update. These conditions may be the result of an infection by a computer such as the Alureon rootkit virus. If these conditions are detected, the update will not install, and the result will be a standard Windows Update error. IBooks on ipad pro crash after IOS updated with 9.3.1.please

    I have the same problem after update 9.3 OS on my Ipad 2... Crashing in IBooks. PDF and missing books. I have access to my books for about a minute before it crashed.

    It still occurs with the 9.3.1 update.

    I don't really know where to go then except put it there the 9.3.1 upgrade did not fix my problem.

    Thinking that I might have to consider for an Apple Tech which is an expense I really don't think I should have to bear, because I did not cause the problem that everything worked fine with my iBook before upgrading the OS 9.3.

  • Windows 7 RC crashes after installed updates. Initial Setup works fine.

    Everyone knows about system crashes after installation of microsoft after a successful Windows 7 updates installed.  I would like to point out that the installation of the operating system is going very well and there seems to be no problem, another that I have a found unknown device that is not described here until you go into system properties.  When the windows update notification is in place there are usually 7 updates important and 36 optional updates.  Optional updates include drivers for the video card and other drivers and also a Toshiba ACPI value-added product for the General and logical devices.  I don't know what it is because I can't find any information about it.  It is not really important at this stage because everything hangs!  I had this problem since the beta version and it is still not resolved.  I have read and tried to fix this with "accidents of the Explorer of windows 7 after update" using the Microsoft fix by regedit keys.  It did not work.  I also tried various updates one at a time to see if it has an impact, without success.  I tried to go to the Toshiba website for updates, but so far there is none.  I continue to read the forums and also sent food to Microsoft beta on this problem.  Someone can help me.

    System Specs:
    Toshiba phone L355D-S7829
    AMD Turion x 2 dual core mobile RM-72
    4 MG RAM
    ATI Radeon 3100 Mobile graphics card Shared
    Dual-boot system: Vista 64/Windows 7 (64-bit) RC

    System works fine on Vista and as long I don't upgrade anything, Windows 7 works very well.  Software installs works very well as long as they do not require a video card update.  I tried to use the video driver for Vista and it still crashes.

    If I can offer any other information I can be set aside, please let me know.

    Thank you!

  • After auto-update to 38.01 - Firefox barely works.

    I upgraded somehow 38.0 conducting with exactly the same way, now. I huge lag when typing in the search field and incredibly slow page loading. IE works perfectly (well, as perfectly as a link with known current issues in this node - but it's an ISP issue). I tried a totally new facility 38.0 and 38.01 remove every trace of Firefox via the run / % appadata %, everything Firefox-associates of the HD (x 64 Moreover etc.) and I am puzzled. IE load a little slowly, but as stated before, known problem with my connection sometimes. Even using Firefox functions in menu options takes 7 to 10 seconds to appear. A new tab is taking, once again, seconds to open.

    I * was * running Adblock Plus 2.6.9 BetterPrivacy 1.68, EPUBReader 1.5.0.6, Norton Toolbar 2014.7.12.14, NoScript, 2.6.9.22, Self - Destructing Cookies 0.4.7, StumbleUpon 4.19 and Xmarks 4.3.6. Only the Norton Toolbar has been disabled on the auto-update, which I activated. Then I disabled each add-on which did nothing. I tried to reinstall without the complete brainwipe 38.01 first in case I had a file corrupted, but... Well, no change, same with two virgins installs of 38.01, then 38.

    I just ran a complete system scan of Norton - just 33 rejected of IE (ugh). There is not much I can add have acted a bit hastily just wipe everything - but in my defense, I was always able to fix any FF / nitpicking trouble myself (not afraid to go in the bowels, where this is necessary to change the values healthy from authorized sources) when they took place. Usually, a new installation circled if things start looking really bad, one or two times over the years, I had to serve and leave of completely, but this is the first time I had this works do not at all...

    I know there is probably nothing that someone can suggest in particular, but I hope!

  • Disable the auto restart after auto update

    I can't express how frustrating, it is at the foot of two hours of hits for a drink, to return to my job cancelled by an automatic restart after Windows update. This kind of thing has happened several times. And as I have a Vista Home Premium, I did not have access to group policy to turn off. So guys, how to prevent windows to lose more of my work with its seedy characteristics? Thanks in advance.

    Make a Bootable Live CD to recover your files:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, do a right click on the Knoppix ISO file, make a disk Image.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in your computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, boot with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    Change the properties of read-only Flash drive.
  • Internet Explorer and Firefox, both crash after installing update KB2670838
    After installing Win7 x 64 platform update KB2670838 (as recommended) no browser would go, V19.0 Firefox and Internet Explorer V9.0.13 (32 and 64 bit) would all the crash initially upwards.
    Other programs, I tried that internet access would go directly without problem.
    Be able run any internet browser, I had to uninstall KB2670838.
    What is the problem with browsers, internet and KB2670838?
    I solved the problem of Firefox after installing IE10 by opening Firefox in Mode safe mode and disabling hardware acceleration (how to in my previous post), have not had any problems with Firefox because I have disabled hardware acceleration.
  • After auto-update today I stupidly agreed to return to its default state of Firefox. Is there a way I can undo this? (I lost all my sites speed dial).
    After installation auto-implementation to date this morning a dialog box appears asking you if I want to go back to its default state of Firefox. I foolishly said yes and now I lost all my Speed Dial, URLs and passwords registered thumbnails. Is there any way I can cancel it to go back to the way Firefox has been implemented and work yesterday?
    No, no, unless you have backed up your Firefox profile to restore the default state.
  • Problems after auto update
    After an automatic update I lost access to the control panel and am now unable to run some other updates
    Hi Welsh Dragon,
    For the issue of the Control Panel, you will need to scan SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.
    The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista installation CD.
    For more information please visit the link below.
    If the previous step fails, then reset the Windows Update components and check if you can access Windows update.
  • After auto update installed, Windows Vista does not start
    Individuals:
    Windows Vista Home Premium w/Service Pack 1 installed
    Dell Studio 1737, 64-bit
    Problem:
    Earlier this week (I think it's the 16th), my computer has installed an automatic Windows Update and restarted.  When she came back to the top, it says Windows could not start and asked if I would so he can try to restore the operating system to a previous point in time or if I try to restart Windows.  I tried to start Windows again (this time with my fingers crossed), but got the same message.  So I went for the #1 option and after half an hour, or so, I got a new error.  To be honest with you, I have seen so many mistakes in the last week, I don't remember exactly what he said, but I wanted to go to the advanced options, where I could choose a restore point manually.  I have put back to point restoration 6/15 and had no problem getting Windows to start.  Unfortunately... Windows REALLY asks me to install this update so at 03:00, after spending at least an hour and a half on the issue, he did an update automatic, rebooted and Windows wouldn't start again.  So, again, I am through the whole process (it's the only way I found to manually choose a restore point) and me to start Windows.  Then I disabled the automatic update in the hope that I could skip this update.  However... Windows has put the updates to install every time I put it in mode 'sleep'.  You can see where I'm going with this.  Now, any time my computer stops for some reason, Windows refuses to restart.  To make matters worse, the last time I had to go through this process, for some reason any he would not support up to 15 and I had to try again and it backwards until the 13th.  Please help me!
    You did little to restore the system.
    Hide this particular update, if you do not need!
    Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:
    1. a System Restore to before the updates:
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next
    If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:
    Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.
    System restore steps according to the info above.
    Also:
    2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the bad.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
