XP Media Player won't burn CDs

I have Windows XP PRO, and most of the time, I like the formats. My problem with Windows Media Player, is that no matter what I do, it won't let me burn a cd. I was getting the message "database is corrupt" and followed the instructions to fix this, and it worked. Now the database is ok, and it still won't let me burn CD. Any help would be appreciated!

  • Windows Media Player will not burn CDs

I have a ton of gripes about this crappy program, at the absence of easy navigation (where the hell is the tab "Check for updates" / "about", * can't find anything) for the long time of waiting just for the stupid thing may work correctly. My question is this: why I can not burn CD with Media Player? Lol I have always, even if Microsoft was supposed to be the smart company making the best stuff, but I don't see these days is garbage. It's sad.

Nevermind, got the disc to burn on my Macintosh instantly without any problems.  To the review windows.

  • Windows Media Player won't burn a CD.

Rarely buy cd - r b/c it is that part of the time. All the songs are flammable, I got them off Amazon. When I click Start burn. He does this long winding noise that its never done before, had several minutes on the first say burn disc. Then it changed to an error has occurred and put an X by the song, is gone to the other, them and one by one, said an error Occurred.Ruined 2 discs already analyzed. He has done it before, so after the first I tried new b/c most of the time it will burn the second time around.
On Windows Vista Home Basic Edition. Hit discs, TDK and Memorex disks.

Hi, the reader of cd/dvd must be corrupt you hear noises when burning CD.  try to connect another cd/dvd drive and see if you still experience this issue.

I tried to burn a CD of mixes for my friend, and I got music files lined and ready. I put the blank CD - RW disc in and hit burn. It takes about thirty percent before it stopped, whenever I tried, and I even switched to a new drive and had the same results. I really need to make this CD, but I don't know why it does not burn.

A mix CD seems to indicate that the files can be

Apparently, one or more of the files are causing the

Another alternative would be to copy all of the files
to a new folder in your music folder and convert
a different format... it would create new
versions of the files that could burn successfully...

There are to many converters available on the net...

Select (highlight) the files you want to import into

When your music files are imported into Freemake,

Windows Media Player won't rip CD more. I put it in MP3 format. I get the COOD1OD2 error message, and by virtue of the clarification it indicates that the error message is COODOFBO which says that the setting of the CD in Device Manager do not match parameter of cd in the drive.
