    TNX all.

There is no download available for Windows XP.  If you try to use a third-party download source, be aware that the image will be more than probably not authentic and loaded with malware, spyware, viruses, etc.. Carey Frisch

Moreover, the experience of the user to submit a question in this case sucks *. After that I typed in the title of my question and click on submit, I am taken to a form telling me that I have to sign in first. If I need to sign in first, why waste my time to let me type in my question?

Then after I've registered and logged in, I type in the title of my question once again. By clicking on submit now takes me into a form where I need to... type in the title of my question once again (again). Return to the previous page to try to copy the title where I had just typed an instant more early does not help as little Javascript has cleverly cleared what I had entered.

    Hi GautamBahl

Thanks for the quick response. Good to see you have a backup plan.

After a little more investigation, it seems that this problem occurs when the user agent of the browser reports that Linux.

It might be useful to adapt the error message to report to newbs like me that there is no available Linux version, rather than a message "try again later".

    Thanks again!

  • Automatic download of Windows 10 - my permissoin.

I went to use my computer and Microsoft had automatically started install windows 10. I constantly refused to download because my computer is dedicated to a program of sewing and my computer will not support windows 10. I found this when Windows professionally downloaded 10.  While they had lot to reload my original Windows XP program. Now I can't program to work microlsoft is reloading my previous Windows program. What microsoft is going to do about it? I am furious that they have surpassed my computer and tried to download Windows 10 without my permission.

I waited for about 10 minutes and came a message saying that Windows 10 had no load... Duh... I'm still very angry that they 'someone' had the courage to try this after I refused continuously "free download".

  • Windows 7 professional 64-bit installed fresh is not allow to install any software, even the drivers

Hi, my question is a little long and weird also, I installed windows 7 Professional download from the MSDN Web site. Its installed correctly and it is no mistake at all, but when I tried to have any software installed on this system installed fresh? the system is not letting me to install any software at all. I'll share my mistake, the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running. check computer system information to check whether you need a x 86 or x 64 program version, and then contact the software publisher. This error occurs when I simply double click on the file and when I try to install the software with the permission of the administrator. I get this error message, windows cannot find 'name and path of the file. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. I need help on this mysterious topic.

the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running. check computer system information to check whether you need a x 86 or x 64 program version, and then contact the software publisher.

You can get this error if you try to install the 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit version of Windows. Actually return to the web site where you downloaded the device drivers and make sure you download the 64-bit versions of your driver files.

  • Satellite U400-17R - audio device does not work after installing XP

    Hello

I bought a model U400-17R with Vista Home. I formatted and installed Windows XP Professional download drivers XP Toshiba site.

Everything works, but my Sound Device does not work. When I check in the Manager of devices the Sound Drivers are there and it says working properly.

I'm lost... Can someone please help?

    Hello

I think you have the same problem like me a few months ago.
    I installed Win XP SP2

The t is not his work because I didn't install the patches MS; KB835221 & KB888111

The patches must be installed as a first step, before the audio driver is installed.
If you have already installed the audio driver, then you must remove (uninstall) before install you the patches Ms.

PS: The MS patches are part of the SP3

I bought the laptop at walmart with built-in w8.0, then (as an OEM), he was not eligible for the free upgrade to win 10, I downloaded the version of the COMPANY/developer of the w10 and used for the promotion of 90 days, then it expired. • Windows XP mode alert message...

I'm using an Acer laptop, windows 7 barely one year old; just upgaraded for windows 7 Professional; downloaded and installed windows xp mode and virtual pc mode... I have a lot of games for windows xp; followed all instructions step by step on installing xp games, only install one so far, installation says 'successful' but came into xp mode to play the game and an alert box came up saying "could not create the display device. DirectX is not available {1002}' I clicked on Yes during the installation of the game and even went and downloaded from the web site itself, but I get the same megs.

Here are my system specs.   Acer Aspire 7736Z, 64-bit, Pentium (r) dual-core, 2.20 GHz, 3.00 GB...

Can someone help me and tell me what is happening here and how to fix it?   Of course, I'd be happy of it... miss my games... :-) Thanks in advance.

Windows XP mode (Virtual PC) is not designed for players. "Windows XP Mode is best suited for older applications business such as accounting, inventory and similar applications. Windows XP Mode is not intended for consumers because much of consumer applications requires a use extensive physical interfaces, such as 3D graphics, audio and TV tuners, which don't work well under virtualization today. "(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/faq.aspx)

You should play games XP in your environment from Windows 7, if necessary, install and play with these two compatibility settings (right click on Configuration and resp. game.exe > properties): 'For Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode' and 'run as administrator '. Some games need special corrections or methods to make them run, though, as too much has changed since their original release. Other games work without all these questions.

  • SP2

Can someone help me try to get my hard drive reformatted to SP3. I used my original OS drive that was SP1 and now I want to upgrade to SP3 and it seems to be impossible. On the microsoft Update site that seems well to enable professionals or those who want to download to a network, but not for those who want to download on a single computer at home. Y at - it a simple way to get SP3 or SP2 even since [as I understand] I get SP3 if I have SP2. Any help would be appreciated since renewing my current and then reformatted hard drive I have struggled to get the operational connection Wireless [it's ok for now] and cannot get anti virus on SP1 either so I'm quite vulnerable to God knows what virus' until I can get updated to SP3. Thank you.

You can (and should) use the «IT Professional» download  This statement is just there to help minimize the download time.  And you don't need SP2.  You can go directly from XP sp1 sp3.  See the second "HOW TO" link below.

Check out these tips for a long time MS MVP PA Bear:

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything in the list below, in order, before connecting the machine to the internet or a local network (i.e. other computers) and before you plug in a flash, SD card, or any other external computer diskotherwise:

    1. Make sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled.
    2. Uninstall any moment invalid Norton, McAfee, etc., free version of test which was also reinstalled, run the appropriate removal tool (see below), and then install an application antivirus of your choice (for example, http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspxMicrosoft Security Essentials- free).
    3. Arrival to Windows Update & get the computer fully patched.

TIP: Use another and negative computer to download programs for, for example, SP2 or SP3 installation, the installer for your new anti-virus application and or other removal tools cited below. Transfer these files to CD or DVD (not a flash drive) and then transfer the files of the CD or DVD on the desktop of the computer you are using.

TIP: After getting the computer fully patched, download/install KB971029 manually before connecting any external drive to your computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971029 [1]

VERY IMPORTANT! => Any Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You need TO uninstall the trial for free AND download/run the appropriate removal BEFORE tool to install updates, the Windows Service Packs, or updates of IE AND BEFORE installing your new antivirus application (for example, Microsoft Security Essentials - free).

  • Why has it been different version of Win7 installed in VM Workstation 8

    Hello

I just created a new machine virtual and installed from a Windows 7 sp1 x 64 Win7 Professional download.  The given key was for Win 7 Professional.

The virtual machine has Home Basic installed.

    Why is it unprofessional?

I am very new to VM Workstation, so may have done something wrong, but he did the installation automatically and has not requested any selection of the OS.

    TIA

    Sue

It seems that you use Easy Install for installation of the virtual machine. For easy installation, the default value 'Version of Windows Installer' is 'Windows 7 Home Basic. You choose in the list for the version you are about to install. The choices are: Home Basic, Home Prememium, professional, Ultimate.
