  I chatted with technical support that keeps saying that it's a compatibility problem, to install with old OS X or buy a newer version. But I know that CS5 works with Yosemite (as I use it myself), and the only question I had is that serial # says invalid, which is separate from the functionality of the program.

  I'd rather not spend hundreds more to get a new suite, when I spent a lot for CS5 already and know is fully functional on Yosemite.  I have also not return to an older operating system and break things.

  Moreover, I used to be a general technical Support and I am a coder of web applications, so I understand that this isn't just some sort of "reboot" of the question

  BACKGROUND:  I have a MacPro running OS x 10.6.8.  I now have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1.  When I tried to upgrade from Acrobat Pro 9.5.0, I got an error message that says that my application could not be updated because it had been "modified" or a Word to that effect.  He told me to reinstall Acrobat Pro.  Dutifully, I inserted the disc of Installation 1 and started the chore.  He stopped and asked me to disable several security features because the installation could not go ahead until what I did.  I did as I was instructed and the installation was successful, including the update of all 18 Acrobat 9 Pro updates (Adobe don't use the Combo updates to relieve the consumer of such a daunting task?)   We generally recommend disable antivirus when you install or update our software as often times anti-virus software may complicate installations.  There is no further safety we recommend for normal installation of our software.

  I'm an apologist for the tedious process of update.  We approached it with Acrobat X where all updates are cumulative, but obviously likely a good consolation after the long task of updating to Acrobat 9.  In case you need to reinstall Acrobat 9 in the future, you can choose to ignore the restart request.  This will make the process much faster update for you.

  I got a new iMac and launched iTunes and signed on my Apple account, where all my music presented themselves as available in iCloud.

  I then transferred the iTunes library to the iMac for my old Mac laptop.  Now each song appears twice, once with the cloud, indicating that it is not on my computer but in the cloud and the cloud is dashed outline, indicating that the path on my computer is awaiting transfer to the cloud.

  I don't know if it's just another bug of iTunes/iCloud or if I messed up the transfer.

  With 2 other people with the same problem (one called me an hour ago!) after the last window xp SP3 update and glancing again Ipconfig. I found that the tcp/ip seem to have been corrupted by the update. Then, I applied the following command at the command prompt: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt , and then restart the computer.

  This time, the command ipconfig showed information that makes sense! And three laptops with windows XP pro SP3 were able to successfully connect to any Protocol (wpa, wpa2, wep).

  I conclude this post by saying that, probably one of the last update of security for windows XP corrupted the TCP/IP Protocol and we had to reset correctly to solve the problem.

  The error you got is probably because of the way Windows manages access to a share. This probably isn't what it is related to ThinApp it self but becomes visible as a ThinApp be listened must have reliable access to the package file. A ThinApp streaming process does not restore to a share automatically. You must restart the package for a new session will be implemented.
