XPS 8500 with AMD Radeon 7570 - 4 are monitors possible?

I have scoured the net looking to see if this is possible.  Many people have asked the question, but I don't see an answer.  People have done 3 monitors, but I can't find anything on four.  Thoughts?

Thank you

Hi nytravelor,

As you mentioned in the post, there are only 3 connected monitors. There is no option to connect the monitorth 4.

  • 3 monitors on XPS 8700 with AMD Radeon HD 270 R9

    Hello world

Just a quick question. Can I conduct 3 monitors to a XPS 8700 with the AMD Radeon HD R9 270 card?

I read somewhere that it supports Eyefinity, and in the marketing of the images I see 3 ports on the video card. an hdmi and a DVI and a VGA. Eyefinity normally uses an active displayport adapter. You don't know everything just not if I'll be able to use all 3 ports to control monitors. Or maybe use 2 ports from the dedicated card and the onboard port.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never tested, but in theory, it should work.

  • Dell XPS 8500 with 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 7570 - how to connect two monitors or?

Hi, I got my Dell XPS 8500 today with the 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 7570.

Before buying the office, I read online that the AMD Radeon HD 7570 supports Eyefinity.   Eyefinity is supposed to be capable of supporting 4 monitors using the HD 7570 map by the description here: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/7000/7570/Pages/radeon-7570.aspx#2

When you look at the photos of the Dell XPS 8500 online I thought that Eyefinity support was to use a display in addition to the DVI port Port.   Specifically, I thought that a monitor has been supported by DVI monitors while 4 thru two supported using an active connection to the view port using a product like the DisplayPort Accell UltraAV K087B-005 / 3 x multi-monitor DVI - D single-link adapter.

To my surprise the graphics card came with an HDMI port, not a display port and I believe that HDMI port is a connection from one to the other, and not one of many display connection.   Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong on this point.   But if I'm not wrong then, this would imply that, at most, the Dell XPS 8500 with the AMD Radeon HD card 7570 can support up to only 2 monitors (one DVI port) and the other HDMI port instead of 4 monitors as described on the above link.

Others would agree with this statement?

Note that the Dell XPS 8500 also has a VGA connector on it but I tested it using a monitor on VGA and a monitor on the DVI connection and the computer that reported as an invalid monitor config.   Probably because the VGA and DVI connections are originally the same video display as connect two monitors to display even has no logical sense.

I have not tested the HDMI port for the second monitor again mainly because I don't have a spare HDMI cable on site at the present time.   I'll probably buy one tomorrow unless I see the comments of my post, specifying that a second monitor can be moved through the HDMI port on the AMD Radeon HD 7570 map...   I'd be surprised if that were the case (1 monitor system would be quite restrictive), but it is difficult to say with certainty, because the VGA and DVI connections at the same time have been marked by the computer as an invalid configuration...

Any thoughts on the different ways to configure multiple monitors with the XPS 8500 and the 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 7500 is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Doug

If the card is not a display port is not an eyefinity card and cannot stand 3 monitors... it will be 2 monitors, no problem... I couldn't find anywhere on the site of Dell, where he says that the card was eyefinity... If you want 3 assumption of monitors you can buy a video card that supports.

  • How can I install my printer model Dell 720 on my new Dell XPS 8500 with windows 7

I have the software for my Dell 720 printer, but it will not install on my new Dell XPS 8500 with windows 7.  It works fine on my Dell Dimension 3000 with windows XP.  I would use this printer with my new system

Dell is not a Windows 7 driver for this printer.  The closest thing they have is a driver for Vista 32 bit.  So your options are to (1) Download 32-bit Vista driver and try to install in compatibility mode, (2) use XP Mode if you have the professional or Enterprise version of Windows 7 Ultimate, (3) buy another printer.

You can download the Vista 32-bit driver

    Help, please

    Hello

See if the following procedure helps you.

First, download the latest installer AMD on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56948.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right-click on the 'AMD Catalyst Install Manager' entry and select the change option.

Now, follow the procedure to uninstall the drivers and all the software from AMD.  At the end of this process, you will also get a prompt asking you if you want to remove the Catalyst Install Manager - select the option to remove it and when finished, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer AMD and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

Once again, when this has completed, restart the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • XPS 8300 with AMD HD 6770 white video between 5 and 15 minutes after connection.

    I have a XPS with AMD HD 6770 and ST2320L monitor 8300.

The system has no hard disk formatted, so I can not only boot and use the keys F12 menu to load from CD or run the program Setup or diagnostics menus to investigate this problem.

If I boot from the DVD (System, norton bootable recovery tool restore disc), run diagnostics, or just leave the computer in the installation menu screen will go blank and enter the power saving mode about 10 minutes later. (Diagnosis show no error if executed until the screen turns)

I'm sure that the computer is running once again the white of the screen as caps lock / cd eject all still work but I can not answer of the screen.

I guess to a graphics card problem but overheating seems unlikely it has worked well for a year and restarts immediately after power turn off / turn on.  Display is lost on the monitor and a HDMI TV connection so improbable it is associated with monitor.

There is no hard drive formatted as I was trying to convert from RAID to a single HARD disk after a disk failure, and only 15 minutes before the white of the screen it is not time to complete the restoration of the etc system! I do not see this pertaining to the issue of the display, but of course I had the box to open then could have dropped something on the inside. I reinstalled the card / cable...

Welcome any tool or ideas useful coming to DVD bootable - next action is to try another video card when I can get one in a few days.

    Thank you

In case someone else has a similar problem the solution replaced the video card.

  • AMD Radeon 7570-devices is not compatible with Windows 10 - you're going to have problems with your screen

Microsoft will come out with Windows 10, as an upgrade of the free operating system next month, July 29, 2015. They came out with an app, 'Get Windows 10', which is intended to help the operating system upgrade process. In this app, it checks for compatibility issues that may exist between your computer and their new Windows 10.  I get results for two of compatibility issues when I run this app. The one that concerns me, it is with the video card that came with my computer, AMD Radeon HD 7570.

The app tells me: "these devices are not completely compatible with Windows 10" and he adds "you will encounter problems with your screen."

Is there any driver updates that resolve this problem?

The driver, I installed on my pc is Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. version 8.960.11.2000

Windows says that the driver is up-to-date.

If no driver is available to correct this problem will be I need to replace the video card in my computer and if so with what?

I currently use two screens, a LG 22EA53 (analog) and an Acer S230HL without any problems with Windows 7, Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    Malygris1,

Well, son of a gun... looks that microsoft has made changes in their updates.

Now when you run the "'get 10 app Windows, check your PC ' it reads in devices..." "0 problems found."

Looks like Microsoft do with last-minute changes, as you indicated, and others have mentioned about being patient on this matter, that they may (?) have addressed this problem.  Probably won't suddenly course up until the update is done.

Guess for now, I have to score this as accept as a Solution.

  • Increase the resolution on the ProBook s 4540 with AMD Radeon 7650 M

I have a ProBook s 4540 with the AMD Radeon 7650 M card.  The graphics card and drivers are up to date with the latest settings on Win7 Pro 64 bit machine.  I installed the I want to know if I can increase the native resolution of the Catalyst Control Center installed and switchable graphics on in BIOS (F.40).

I use my machine for graphic design & website and you want to increase the native resolution of 1366 x 768 setting above.  I know that the CCC will allow you to change performance for games and other programs, but I'm looking for the resolution.  The Basic setting for my office lists only the graphics card Intel for the resolution settings.

    It left me speechless.

    Thank you!

Figured it out for anyone who needs help with this.

Resolution max screen 1366 x 768 even if the video card will support more resolution, it cannot for the screen built in on the laptop, only for screens outside.

  • Video glisten with AMD Radeon HD6870 on Alienware M17XR3

    Hello

This is my first post on these forums, so I apologize if this is in the wrong location or format and whatnot.  Thanks in advance for all recommendations.

I have an Alienware M17XR3 with switchable graphics; AMD Radeon HD 6870 (9.3.0.0) and Intel HD 3000 IGP.

When you use the AMD card, I get horizontal video flickering along the top and half inch (felt) of the background screen.  When I switch to the IGP, the graphics are fine (other than to not be able to run intensive graphical applications).

There is a bit of new pilots, but as soon as they are installed, Windows Update tries to "update" to the version mentioned above.  This is a common complaint with graphic patterns switchable.

Now here's where it gets weird.  I started to run some diagnostics with the ATI-tool ""-> "Scan for artifacts", and as soon as I kick off, the flicker disappears.  Until this discovery, I took the card simply become badly inserted or something.  And it still may be the case.  But it's really weird.

So, if I use the AMD driver, running ATI tool, I can run any application, set apart from the fact that the use of the GPU spikes at slightly less than 100%, which is undesirable for other reasons.

Does anyone have an idea of what these symptoms could point to?

    Thanks again.

I actually figured this out with a lot of trial and error.

It turns out that the issue has been the driver of Windows Update for video cards.

If you ignore the drivers from Windows Update and download directly from the site of AMD, things seem to work well.

I think the problem is that there are newer versions of the available driver that Windows Update tries to shoot, but they do not work due to the switchable graphics, if something is corrupted.

If you have questions, just reformat and reinstall the OS, then hide the Windows graphics updates and manage them manually.

  • First cc 2015 pro is compatible with AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics card?

I am interested in the latest Macbook, but I don't see the graphics card AMD Radeon R9 M370X on the list of requirements for first pro cc adobe system 2015.  Does anyone know if they work well together?

I am currently owner of the latter model, and currently, as it is an AMD card, it supports OpenCL graphics acceleration. So yes, it is supported.

Performance wise, it's good. Not as great as if he had a card Nvidia, CUDA with Adobe story of love with her. If you are looking to buy a Macbook Pro, go with the 2014 with the graphics of GT750M model, which you will get better performance with the organization. But overall, with respect to the ATI card, performance is at least somewhat adequate and gives you a big boost, especially when it comes to rendering

However, Adobe said in June at WWDC, they seek by integrating the API of metal, which will apparently increase performance by up to 80%. We'll see if that is actually true or not in a few months or more.

  • XPS 8500 with full SSD

    I have a XPS 8500 I bought in January of 2013.

It has a 256 GB Samsung SSD, which is almost full.

It also has a 2 TB HDD which has plenty of room.

I get an error message all the time telling me that my SSD or startup disk runs out of space.

How to free up space on the SSD? I can't find very many programs that take up a lot of space and can not figure out how to clean this drive to make it have more space. I guess that all programs must be installed on the C drive working correctly? Should I uninstall programs have and see if I can install it on the D drive, with more space? I store all my files, such as music and images and documents on the D.

Any advice here? There are probably 1 million ways to do it better.

    Thanks in advance!

    Version of Windows?

Is it really to store anything on this great hard drive?

What generally happens is that Windows stores everything in the 'default' files (for example, Documents, photos, music, etc.) on the same drive where Windows is installed. In your case on the SSD. Then he filled up quickly, but the other disk is empty.

I recently had a similar problem with a laptop running Win 8.1. Everything was stored on the SSD and the 1 t HARD drive has been entirely unused.  I followed the instructions here to move these files to the 1 t by car and who installs all files and now everything is automatically saved to disk rather than on the SSD and hard.

The key is that you must create records of 'destination' on the hard disk before tell you Windows to redirect them to this another drive. And don't store everything in the directory root hard disk or you will have a mess.

In my case, I created folders D:\Documents, D:\Photos D:\Music; D:\Downloads, etc. on the hard drive that has been assigned the drive letter D: by Windows when the operating system has been installed. Then I followed the instructions to move the (SSD) folders from C: to D:.

Now my 256 GB SSD is less than 1/4 full and all my files are stored on the hard drive. Problem solved!

  • Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Code 43 with AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series

    Hello forum users HP

NOTE: SORRY I WRITE THIS IN THE BAD ADVICE. ALL "NOTEBOOK TIPS" WERE / IS 'READ ONLY' NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST IT. IT IS THE COUNCIL CLOSER TO YOU, I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.

I had problems trying to play new games (Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying many problems on the forums of game specific, I came to the conclusion that my video card is what affect my ability to play these games.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64-bit Windows 10.

    • Processor Quad-Core AMD Phenom P960
    • 4.00 GB ram
    • AMD Radeon HD 6300 M series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'graphics cards.

The problem that seems to hinder my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series card. Looking in the Device Manager I see it's a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went on the site of AMD and installed the new beta drivers of Crimson 15.11.1.

    I found this post:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/381108-33-solved-graphics-error-code

and follow up post mrgooyes (about 4-5 responses down) and again I have no luck.

I thought maybe since I opened my laptop some time ago and didn't eventually plug them into common sense could be considered, but my dad says they're integrated into the motherboard. I'm starting to believe, it is a problem with Windows 10 and alas, I have no possibility of return.

If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know if there is more information that I would need to post and I will gladly try my best to keep guys updated day.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

I suppose that the link does not work as I thought.

If you go to the link and click on modify in the light blue box under the picture of my laptop, it will allow you to change the OS to windows 7, which is the factory installed OS for my laptop. You will find the driver I posted once you do this.

On another note, my Windows Update has installed some drivers for the cards and their revenue to the original state that they were (code 43). How can I stop windows update install this specific update?

Until you return to the supported o/s there is no real solution to your problem right now.

  • Display size reduced after a 8.1 update on HP Pavilion with AMD Radeon HD 8470

The HP Pavilion Ref.. 500 - 115ed / D7F07EA #ABH with the AMD Radeon HD 8470 display adapter.  has been connected with a HDMI cable to a monitor 22 inches (LG22EN43).

After upgrade to 8.1 Windows 64 bit (from the 8 64 bit windows) OS only 20 inches of the screen is beeing used.

    Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080. (1680 x 1050 it displays on 22-inch again)

As prescribed by the HP helpdesk, I installed the latest driver from the HP Web page display.

Also the BIOS has been updated, but the two actions did not solve the problem.

After installation of the AMD Catalyst software, I could access the Catalyst Control Center.  Here, it was possible to adjust the Underscan.

    Now we have 1920 x 1080 on a 22-inch monitor.

  • Phoenix 810 ENVY: ENVY Phoenix 810 with AMD Radeon R9 270 problem

    System:

    HP ENVY Phoenix PC 810

    Model 810-250se

    10 64-bit Windows

    Video:

    AMD Radeon R9 270

My PC had a screen black/reboot during the ten days about problem. My son, who plays games on it, believes that the video card above is at the origin of the problem. There was a recent series of Windows included 10 updates a driver for this hardware, but after several attempts (including RESETS of Windows with a picture CD 10) installation via the update or directly from March 28 AMD download, the furthest I get is a black screen after trying to install the driver software. I did it with Windows Defender disabled. I tried Mode safe mode with and without networking, but the Crimson AMD software will not run here. I used the utility from dismantling of AMD as well.

The problem earlier, before I start all the diagnostics, was a reboot loop.

Having said all that, at a time given, I ran the HP BIOS utility that scans everything for chess... guess what, video memory FAILED:

    ID 0LM8HS-00082V-QFFV7F-Q2WM03 failure

Is this an indication that the card is toast, or that the pilot and the chipset is just missing/messed up?

Another symptom is a weird game of vertical strips on some graphic characteristics.

So I guess my question is, where I go from here to get the PC up?
