  After opening the other files and writes PDF files successfully, I went back to the source indesign file. I had to methodically go through a huge document and started the revision of all imported graphics one by one, and I determined one was corrupt.   This morning I updated my firefox to 14.01. After one of my i.e extension firebug simply ceased to work not at all, I mean that I could not yet find the icon of my browser. I even tried to go to tools > addons > but you know what, even this page does not respond it keeps loading no results at all. • Update Vista caused internet connection problems

  I have tried repairing computer of my sister, who says simply ceased to connect to the internet all of a sudden.  She said that began February 1... After looking through the system restore, I noticed there was an update installed on 31 January, so I restored the computer to the day prior to that, and now the internet works again.  Since then, I have disabled the automatic updates.  My question is: How can I solve this problem?  I can't leave just for always updates disabled...

• Moored W510 has really bad update video internal display

  I noticed that when I anchor my w510 in my dock, updates on the internal display is terribly slow.

  What I mean is that scrolling in applications is very choppy and rough.

  Play videos full screen creates 'split-screen' effect where the Summit of the half is out of sync with the bottom half, this separation is not constant, different media are the divider at different locations. several media have it in about 1/3 from the top.

  This is also apparent in other applications like games full screen.

  I did some research on the internet about this behavior and have not yet found a good explanation.

  First I thought it was something power, I have no 135W power, and I checked the CPU is without limitation down or something unusual rooted or not anchored. I read people have bad experience with the power of 90W with limitation or simply bad terrible performance of the CPU down.

  The really strange thing is that as soon as I unplug the computer from the dock, this behavior disappears!

  The laptop running on battery or external power gives me about this problem.

  I also tried to fix an external display directly on laptop or docking station, and I see no problem on external display.

  When you use external display with docking station, the internal screen is still having the problem, while at the same time the external display shows no problem, regardless of the configuration of extended screen or mirror.

  Computer running Windows 7 x 64 with Sp1.

  Alll drivers are updated through system update.

  An update, I used the updated system drivers, I tried today to download the NVidia driver, so I installed their Quadro Mobile 305.93 driver, and the problem seems to have disappeared!

  It's looking good, but I need more than 15 minutes of testing applications scrollng, videos full screen, etc, to make sure that the problem is solved.

• Archives Gone Wild!  Or: what is a mandatory archive destination?

  We had a situation where our DBs were configured with log_archive_dest_1 set to a destination of local file system, and log_archive_dest_2 has been set to a standby dataguard. dest_2 has been delayed and the broker turned off due to some work of DR site.
  
  Everything was humming... until due to a miscommunication gross/misunderstanding, a DBA has added log_archive_dest_3, which has been specified like this:
  
  ALTER SYSTEM SET log_archive_dest_3 = ' LOCATION = / nas/database_name "SCOPE = BOTH;
  
  log_archive_dest_state_3 has already been fixed and the DB immediately began trying to archive in/nas/DBNAME, who was on the NAS. We have never designed for it, and worse still, similar orders were given in other databases on the same server that are all very busy. We have four production servers busy trying to archives on the NAS. Very quickly (30-45 minutes), archiving could not follow, again filled and databases stopped accepting transactions. I have no solid evidence (yet) that the NAS performance caused the problem, but certainly we have the sequence of events where each DB seized 30 to 45 minutes after the change of dest_3 was made (and he exhausted his recovery online).
  
  The DBs include three 10.1.0.4 a 10.2.0.4 9.2.0.8 and another on another server that had the same problem.
  
  In the post-mortem analysis, a question is asked. If things were defined as I mentioned, why was not considered dest_3 as OPTIONAL? What I saw in the papers a lot of contention inter-archiver with a single ARCn process on hold for another. Each DB has 10 archivers. log_archive_min_succeed_dest is set to 1 on all databases. I don't think that even dest_1 is MANDATORY, although I guess min_succeed could ensure.
  
  So here are my questions:
  
  (1) IF you say log_archive_min_succeed_dest = 1 and have two local destinations (not DataGuard), does oracle pick dest_1 that must succeed? Or should I say "as long as the two succeed?
  
  (2) I have a theory that each ARC began trying to write on the NAS and got a bottleneck. I see that they began to "create...". "but I saw no message 'done '. Therefore, the DB has failed to ARCs. What sounds plausible? I know that I would need a few data network / NAS who really make a strong case.
  
  (3) the default value is OPTIONAL for destinations, right? So why the DB would wait on the NAS? Or is the case he had simply run out of ARCs?

  Because you have multiple (too?) Archivers, each Redo Log was taken over by an other archiver and each archiver chose not to take DEST_3 as the target to copy to.

  It is more likely that with less archiveurs, DEST_1 would have been picked up. For example, with 2 archivers, if ARC1 chose to write SEQ 15363 to DEST_3, ARC2 could choose to write SEQ. 15364 DEST_1
  (but then again, you might say ' what needs to prevent ARC2 also choose to write to DEST_3 and blocked on this issue? ")

• AVG2015 keeps blocking the file prefs.js because of "potentially be OSX/tap.

  Well, you saw the title.

  Simply, this started happening yesterday evening and I don't know why because it's never happened before. I'm sure this is a false positive, but I do not know how AVG who know.

  The prefs.js file is located in the "AppData/Roaming.

  When AVG blocks the file, it also auto generation of the other prevents it. I have to restart my computer for FireFox generate another prefs.js... which then gets blocked for the same reasons again.

  I don't know what to do at this point.

  I know that uninstalling and reinstalling FireFox are my last resort I have 7 years I don't want to lose data.

  Right now, I have FireFox in safe mode and still work as I left it (same bookmarks, same saved passwords, cookies do not affected, etc.). I can not just save preferences.

  I hope it's just one of those random adjustments that AVG has. Otherwise, this foreshadows a more serious problem and I hope really is not the case.

  Well, it seems that it was a false positive. After a sweep of Advance SystemCare and a reboot, AVG simply ceased to block.

  I was about to publish a bunch of stuff that might help her figure this out, but now it's useless... However, after reviewing the history of detections of AVG, it turns out that this question of mine happened 2 months ago. I honestly forgot on this subject, and how I solved it, if I had nothing. I probably did the same thing I did to solve it.

  So, it was a case of AVG returning a false positive. I feel much better now...

• The dictation feature has stopped working with apple applications

  Dictation function simply ceased to function on the iPhone 6, OS 9.0. I have since updated to 9.3.2 in hopes of a solution isn't work. I did so that Siri is turned on and the microphone of keyboard is also. I also powered power and I did soft reboots. It does appear that effect the apple applications. Function of dictation with other applications like google work very well (thus, the microphone does not work).

  Are there suggestions more to get the dictation function to work with apple applications?

  Try checking the following parameters:

  • Settings > general > keyboard - make sure activate dictated is open.
  • Settings > general > Restrictions - check that the restriction of Siri & dictation is not enabled
  • Settings > general > Siri - disable, pause for a few moments, and then reactivate the Siri.

• external HARD disk, not to run anywhere

  I have a Toshiba external HARD drive which has simply ceased to appear anywhere in my mac. It does not appear in the Finder, utility disc or /Volumes. When I plug it in, the light comes on and I can feel it running inside.

  I have no idea how to solve this more than my research grew up in nothing.

  Try with another computer, if possible.

  At the very least, try with another cable, not through a hub, if you use one.

  I always put MSN as my homepage with all versions of Firefox. Firefox has suddenly stopped working (crashed 3 days ago). I had been running Firefox 19 a few days with no problem, simply ceased to work with MSN and just frozen screen? I tried MSN with Internet Explorer and no problems? I tried to disable the plug-ins and Java, but no use? The only way I can use Firefox is to use a different homepage, then there is no problem.

  I suspect something may have changed, but still I have not discovered what could have any relevant change. A way or an another most users seem to be able to solve the problem, usually by disabling cookies and cache.

  If I have this on (checked) then the middle column moves to the right and superimposed on the right column. If I have that turned off, then the page zoom correctly.

• Canon MX926 stop scaning

  I'm looking for a solution as a way to use the scan of my Canon MX926 printer/Scanner/Fax function.

  I printed and scanned documents, with number, over the past 18 months.  The MX926 is connected to my network via Wi - Fi and shared with a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and a Windows PC.  In the last 24 hours, something has changed;  my MacBook Pro can scan is no longer the MX926.  No error message or of any sign of fault, my MacBook Pro simply ceased to recognize the part scan of the MX926.

  I believe that the MX926 is not a problem because the scanning function still works with my Windows 10 PC.

  A reinstall of the MX926 has partially solved the problem; while I can print, I can't scan.  A diagnostic analysis of my MacBook Pro gave rise to a certificate of good health.

  My MacBook Pro is a retina, 15-inch, mid-2015 model year.

  I apologize for being light on diagnostic information, as there is almost nothing to offer; one minute, I could scan through my MacBook Pro the next day that I couldn't.

  Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

  the problem is: you will NEVER get the power of two GPU, because the Pc identify two graphics cards, but you could only use one, at least for games, because to effectively use these cards, you must have also a Nvidia cipset (Council) - but computers laptop toshiba got a Intel: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cmod.to?coid=-33936 (look in the detailed specs!)

  However, you may back up a bit of power, if you change the nvidia settings... look in the internet, I swear that you find helpsites... also, you should try to always get the latest nvidia drivers (forceware drivers - which is also the same * Laurence *) and turn off or disable unused programms transfer games... but even if it's very bad, ALL my games work well!
