Canon MX926 stop scaning

Hello

I'm looking for a solution as a way to use the scan of my Canon MX926 printer/Scanner/Fax function.

I printed and scanned documents, with number, over the past 18 months.  The MX926 is connected to my network via Wi - Fi and shared with a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and a Windows PC.  In the last 24 hours, something has changed;  my MacBook Pro can scan is no longer the MX926.  No error message or of any sign of fault, my MacBook Pro simply ceased to recognize the part scan of the MX926.

I believe that the MX926 is not a problem because the scanning function still works with my Windows 10 PC.

A reinstall of the MX926 has partially solved the problem; while I can print, I can't scan.  A diagnostic analysis of my MacBook Pro gave rise to a certificate of good health.

My MacBook Pro is a retina, 15-inch, mid-2015 model year.

I apologize for being light on diagnostic information, as there is almost nothing to offer; one minute, I could scan through my MacBook Pro the next day that I couldn't.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Thank you

HILO2016

I'd recommend downloading fresh drivers from the Canon Website, but there is not all available downloads for your printer that is compatible with El Capitan v10.11.4 > http://supportdrivers.info/canon-pixma-mx926-driver/

Alternatively, you can use the OS X Image Capture in your Applications folder.

    Hello
    • You receive an error message when printing?
    • What is the model of the printer?
    • Do you still have Internet Explorer (IE) 9 installed on the computer or you have returned back to IE 8?

If you have IE 8 then I suggest you to install IE9 and check the error message when you try to use the Canon printer.

Hello P Jessen, thank you very much for your answer. I downloaded the printing software and have installed Easy Web Print ex since that, printing resumed with my printer, and I thank you for your response.

Now, my question is... Sometimes, I need to print from a 'window' that descends and covers the 'print' icon where on my browser.  If I clicked 'print' on another part of my computer, the message would not print. !

I can move when the window comes up on the screen - or I can re - locate where the Easy-WebPrint EX is on my browser.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say... there looks like a long journey for a shortcut!

    Thanks anyway,

  • Canon ip1700

My canon ip1700 installs in windows 8

My canon ip1700 installs in windows 8

    You mean Canon PIXMA iP1700?

Not surprising.  Last supplied Canon drivers real for that piece of hardware for Windows Vista.  They had some "Add-on" or something for Windows 7.  No idea what it is.  However, for Windows 8 they say 'there is no driver for the OS Version you have selected.» "The driver may be included in your operating system, or you may not need to driver." that tells me that they consider this product wel past legacy - which probably started with Windows 7.

Looking through the "Windows Compatibility Center", I see it's supposed to be Windows 7 compatible [... with a free download] and for Windows 8 - mixed results (with none so far for Windows RT.)  Look at the VOTES - not whether or not it is MARKED as compatible.  Reality.

    What I'm saying?

You may be able to download the latest driver for Vista from the site (linked above) Canon and install the full software and driver in compatibility mode (for Windows Vista) and get things working for you.  It may or may not be stable in terms of functionality and it may or may not be limited in terms of features that you would have if you were trying to use the material (Canon PIXMA iP1700) under an operating system for which the manufacturer (Canon) taken in charge by the product (Windows Vista, for example.)

None of this is the fault of the operating system or the manufacturer of the operating system that gives at least the possibility of attempting to run older things in compatibility modes, etc.  It's not really "the fault" (Canon) manufacturer-as they probably would not be in business if they created a printer who worked in all operating systems (past, present and future) and nothing to change.  However, it was their choice (Canon) to stop the drivers for the device.

I'd say it's time to move.  If this Canon printer has been good for you - go 39-to-149 USD for another of their printers that would be equivalent to (probably better) the printer you have * and * be supported for at least the current and probably the next operating system. [Looking around - you have probably paid in the lower part of the beach, at first and spent more ink than anything else.]

  • El Capitan has stopped my printer Canon MP600 to work

El Capitan has stopped my Canon MP600 printer to work only in the last few weeks after an OS El Capitan upgraded.

We was told by Canon technical support that refuse to update their previous printer driver Canon, just because Apple have interfered with their existing printer MP600 driver and made deliberately incompatible Canon MP600 printer driver with the last OS of Apple El Capitan, deliberately making useless Canon printer.

What I can do, I can't afford to throw a little used, works perfectly printer and I have no money to buy another printer.

How Apple can behave like that?

Is there anything I can do for this printer works with this terrible operating system?

Looks like in the site Web of Canon printer drivers arrested MP600 supported by beginning of Canon with OS X Lion mountains (10.8).

So you have to have a summer of OS X Lion (10.7) or below. All you can do is to go to a support for Mac OS X version or buy a new printer (that you are not).

  • Canon 5 d MK IV LiveView stops immediately after having been pressed with Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8

My Canon 5 d MK IV Live View will stop immediately after having been pressed with a Tamron SP 70-200 F/2.8 Di lenses.

    I don't see the problem happens with my lens F / 2.8 Canon 24-70mm.

This problem happened in video mode.

I hope that there is a setting I have to toggle to make this objective work in Live View mode?

    Thank you

    Mark

I spoke to my local camera shop, they said, that it should be referred to the Tamron for the update of the firmware, they said, that Tamron has a fairly good hand around time of approximately 5 days. I've probably will send mine once I'm done with a shoot.

The lens works very well for me, normally, the only problem for me is Live View. If this is not the case, use the LIve View, it seems to work great so it's not paralyze me right now, but it would be nice to just get it fixed if Live View will work.

The camera is also on Firmware V1.01 so their will be updates firmware for it also and as a previous post said that Canon will also address the issues with 3rd party lenses. Great! After that all the Canon doesn't want people who have glasses of third parties avoiding the body of the camera for this problem. It's logical Canon would solve this problem.

So far it is a minor bump with third party lenses. I've always been able to work with my Tamron and Sigma lenses. Just a couple of workarounds until the firmware is updated. It isn't a deal breaker for me. This camera is a pleasure to shoot with and I am very pleased with the Canon has advanced in the development, image quality with the dynamic range and low light performance. I am happy and have no regrets.

I would still recommend this camera to a friend.

  • Canon MP Navigator stopped working (MX870)

Windows7, Oper 64 bit system running

    Canon MX870

Scanning was not a problem before a few days ago. No new software or programs have been installed.

Went to scan a document and scan looked like it was working, then dimmed it and received the error message: Canon MP Navigator EX has stopped working.

Searched internet solutions and tried them. Nothing works. I went as far to uninstall all Canon products and utility, even went into the registry and searched and removed everything that I thought I could associated with Canon.

Always error. What should I do now?

Guess I have pretty well stumped pave it because there has been no response

    Hi jealkon,

There may be a third scanner driver interferes with MP navigator.  Please, try the following:

    1. click on 'Start' and then on 'computer '.

    2. in the left pane, click the arrow next to the record Local (c).

    3. click on the arrow next to Windows to open the folder

    4. highlight the twain_32 folder.

    5. the folder should have 2 folders that begin with PIXMA MX870 and a file called wiatwain.ds.  Other folders or files must be moved to the office.

    6. restart the computer and try to scan the image.

  • Quick menu Canon stopped working [solved]

Hello everyone... first time poster here with a new PIXMA MG3222 printer I just bought today and I'm having a problem.

Whenever I try to launch the Quick Menu of Canon, I get a windows popup error message, "Quick Menu Canon stopped working. This has happened every time and the error message is immediate. A black box that indicates the Task Manager is the main window of the Quick Menu Canon is in the background, but nothing appears in it and said the Task Manager is not ongoing.

I downloaded and reinstalled drivers 3 for my Win7 64 bit box from the Canon Site, as well as the most recent software Quick Menu but still the same error message. I opened my firewall to allow the Quick Menu Canon thinking that he may be trying to contact Canon for a reason, and that's why he was not but once again... always the same error message.

The printer & scanner work fine, but of course I have to select each function separately from Windows Explorer in order to use, no quick Menu of the Canon, which is quite annoying.

Someone at - it a similar problem they solved?

  • Canon MP Navigator stopped working with scanner. Worked under Vista, not Win 7.

Scanner Canon Lide 200 worked very well under Vista 64.  I've updated on Win 7 64 and the software interface has stopped working - "MP Navigator EX has stopped working".  That's a BEX error module fault MSONSEXT. DLL_unloaded.  I uninstalled, downloaded the newest and reinstalled, same problem.  Canon had me create a new profile, the program works in this profile.  Canon has written it's rights or licensing of the OS.

The scanner works with other software.  MP Navigator is a resident program for making copies or copy and email, etc..

Here are the details of the windows error

I had the same problem with Win 7 64. I talked to Support Canon technique and after an hour in which we tested several things, I was told the problem was with Windows and I need to contact Microsoft. I tried to create a new profile that has fixed the problem for about a week, then he came back again! The question may be associated with Windows Update, but I'm not sure. On this last go I created a new profile and then copied to the folders and files from the corrupted profile one at a time to see when the problem would be to start over. After carefully copy of files, save, test Mp Navigator, and if necessary to restore the last good configuration I discovered that the following file was the cause of the problem:

    C:\Users\\App Data\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts\My Web Sites on MSN

Note: This file was not present in my new profile. In addition, the icon has the shortcut on that marker, but explore announces that it is a folder. There is no file extension.

I then copied ALL the other bad profile data to the new and MP Navigator still worked! I then deleted the file in question from the wrong profile and MP Navigator started working there too!

I then reconfigured all my software and IE etc for the first time by looking at the network shortcuts folder. The file in question has not yet reappeared. I made a shortcut to this place, I can keep an eye on it to see when it appears again.

I hope someone at CANON or Microsoft will fix this issue of profile "corrupt."

    Sincerely,

    David Witteried

  • Canon Image Transfer (IUT) Utility stopped working

Canon IUT comes with my digital wi - fi point and shoot camera. It is supposed to load on my computer at startup and automatically download the photos uploaded remotely on cloud of Canon. However, it will not work. I've been to the Canon support and they have no record of all other instances of this problem, which I think since my online research shows also some other forums. I removed my Norton Security Suite as a problem; IUT does not load if Norton is enabled or disabled. Below I have copied the contents of the WER file for this error. Can someone decipher this and point me in a productive direction for this problem? I apologize for the long post. I was going to attach the WER file, but could not understand how do.
