• New configuration with Yosemite and CC 2014 Speedgrade

  SG does not open for me at all.  I have used before when running the Mavericks and before the most recent update by 2014 CC.  I thought it was something to do with my installation of Yosemite, but after doing a fresh install of everything that it still not open.  Am I the only one having this problem?

  Having two AMD + nVidia in my Mac Pro to do wonders. I have two DVi monitors connected to the nVidia card and the monitor connected to the display on the AMD card port.  When I received my Mac Pro, I had the opportunity to add two AMD cards requiring more energy than the card Quadro and AMD put in place.  I use a power splitter.

  I was able to run. (for how long is the question) I ran only the card nVidia and BAM, Sg has worked.  I then ran only the card AMD and BAM, Sg has worked.  I then added the two cards back and BAM, everything works now.  I am at a loss...  The strange thing is that I can't show everything. MXF file by going directly to the Sg, but I can if I we first dynamic links.  I can, however, import .mp4 in Sg and can view them without any problem.

  Hello, a few days SpeedGrade CC 2015 does not run.

  My operating system is OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled from creative cloud, but I have not solved... advice?

  I fixed it, in my documents/Adobe/SpeedGrade, there are three folders 0.7 - 0.8-0.9 I deleted everything and rebooted, now there is only 9.0 and everything works... Thank you

• SpeedGrade CC 2015 suddenly does not work on my monitor 4 k

  I use Speedgrade CC 2015 since August and it opened fine.  But recently, it opens not on my 4 k screen.  He tries by default open on my HD screen no smaller, and when I drag him to the monitor 4 k, it looks like this...

  Firstly, SpeedGrade will put the user interface on the main system monitor, you can not change this. Period. If the 4 k monitor is your 'hand' monitor sees of your operating system, which is where Sg will work main UI, and if the 1080 monitor is you 'main' or number 1 for your system, this is where he will put the part of the program.   First of all, you must check 'Enable' under "Dual Display Output"... then

  In my case, I have two 1920 x 1080 monitors stacked vertically, so the top left pixels of two monitors are in the same place left to right, so my 'left' is set to 0. If you want my second screen to the left, that would be the width of the number of pixels of the screen of this second as a NEGATIVE number, so it would be for me-1920; If the second monitor was on my right, it would be a positive number, the width of the 'primary' UI screen... who, like me, are the same, would also be 1920 as a positive number.

  The second monitor being highest on the main screen, the number of 'Top' is negative, the height of the number of vertical pixels of the second monitor. In my case, of course... it is-1080. If my monitors were side by side, it would be '0 '.

  (2) the 'Width' and 'Height' numbers are for your second screen, "the program monitor" will appear on. Simply put this number of pixels in there.

  And that's how Sg works... as intriguing as...

• SpeedGrade CC, launches, seems open, but no program window presents itself

  SG opens, nothing appears either, (with the exception of programming artistic typical name/mosaic of all CC programs have when opening first), everything said or even recognizes the program is in the tool bar is a menu item unique or isolated Speedgrade CC, with General sub-categories (hide/quit cc Speedgrade, etc..)

  SpeedGrade can be a capricious 'partner'... If it is not satisfied with the situation of graphics among others, it can do what you describe. Some laptops that can properly run PrPro are unable to meet the internal expectations of Sg. Especially if the graphics are handled by an onboard video chip share RAM with the main processor. I don't know what your machine has, but it's a possibility.

  Also... There were a few worries of permissions with some of these two version CC PC & Mac OS versions coupled with the right (or wrong)...

  Also, it could be just a... at which point installation failure, to check... you would download the Cleaner CC Adobe app, it allows to uninstall Sg (making the complete uninstall ESPECIALLY delete all the files of configuration/preferences), then re - start & use the CC desktop application to download a new copy and try another installation.

  I have following configuration:

  I7-5960 x 4.3 GHz

  32 GB DDR4 RAM

  ATI 295 x 2 8 GB (Gpusniffer.exe watch 3072 MB on each unit of Hawaii)

  Samsung XP941 Ultra M.2 (> 1000 Mb/s)

  Some 850 Pro SSD for H.264 4 k source

  Latest version of Speedgrade CC 16/02/2015 (DUAL MONITOR SETUP - 2560 x 1440 for Interface and 4096 x 2160 for previewing)

  I work with a lot of short 10-15 seconds 4 K 4096 x 2160 24 fps H.264 clips of Panasonic GH4. Import their first CC as some stabilization warp, cut them, save the project and opened in Speedgrade CC all are fantastic smooth in first CC.

  Speedgrade - a simple color - exhibition, some keyframes and simple scoring correction for certain substances. I use the GPU acceleration for sure have lots of 4096 x 2160 4K 24 fps. But it is not flexible and smooth after that a correction is applied. Everything is jerky and freezes the first seconds, when I press 'PLAY'. I used resources, the Manager monitor tasks (Winodws 8.1 64-bit) and Afterburner. And there's what I discovered:

  • Afterburner shows the use of mono-GPU (as we know it for playback only 1 GPU used) the same amount as in first. SpeedGrade CC use 2, 5 GB of VRAM. Also, if I use one zero effect - accelerating gpu, like "transform", for example, imported first, I get "not enough GPU resources" message in Speedgrade. Afterburner shows, CC Speedgrade tried to use more, and then Max 3GB available VRAM during that time. So I turn off these effects, before you open a project in Speedgrade.
  • CPU is low (15%) use, perhaps a little lower, then in the first CC
  • Disc - 3-10%, H.264 is weak on this subject
  • RAM! -is the problem. I have been authorized to use the 29 GB of RAM for Adobe apps. Speedgrade CC use no more then 2-3 GB according to the the Task Manager (for most 2 GB) and 8.1 Windows resource monitor 64-bit Pro. After I finished with the color correction, a project open in first DC, work with lumteri on smooth and! First CC use 9 to 10 GB of RAM to play the same music video in full resolution smoothly!

  
  

  I already reinstalled everything, including drivers for the GPU, 8.1 for Windows and Adobe CC even result.

  MacBook Pro 15 retina end 2013 with i7-4960HQ/16 GB of RAM/Geforce 750 m UPDATE!

  Under Mac Os Yosemite 10.10.2 - same situation here. First CC use 5 GB (of 11 GB of available) 4096 x 2160 Prores 422 HQ and is usable, smooth with a few drops of frame.

  SpeedGrade CC uses 2.5 GB RAM of 4096 x 2160 and it is impossible to use plenty of 4096 x 2160. Only 1/2 resolution of overview is smooth and usable on the screen of the laptop. 4096 x 2160 externally connected through Thunderbolt monitor, it's a lot rougher, I think it's hard for 750 m with 2 GB of VRAM.

  UPDATE! Previous version (CC 2014) of first CC and CC Speedgrade Windows 8.1 64-bit - even situation.

  My opinion - Speedgrade CC is not optimized for 4K resolution. First CC is good for 4K.

  BTW, for more information, latest AMD catalyst driver 14.12 omega has a problem with my R9 295 x 2 and engine reading Mercury (MPE) OpenCL - just black with sound screen, when I turn on the GPU acceleration. So I use the previous version of 14.9. With 14.12 GPUsniffer.exe found a device with 4 GB of VRAM GPU and a GPU with 3 GB of VRAM (normally obligatorily 3 + 3 GB 295 x 2 Dual GPU radeon chip).

  So, finally, Speedgrade CC works 95% smooth time with 4096 * 2160 H.264. But it was necessary to turn off all effects in first Pro CC. Nothing new. I found a few discussions on this fact, but after that I spent some time with experiences.

  Stabilizer Warp even alone is enough to make Speedgrade CC really agitated. 'Transform' effect simply blocks Speedgrade CC with "GPU resources.

  Each effect uses some VRAM (for Warp stabilizer 200-300 MB). After you have disabled all effects had load VRAM under/near 2 GB for the little clip 4096 * 2160.

  First CC flies simply with unique x 290 or 295 x 2 (which is the only x 290 during playback). Even 3GB VRAM available software Adobe CC.

  I just downloaded Yosemite and now AE will not open. I get this error message... "You can't use this version of the"Adobe After Effects CS6"application with this version of Mac OS X."

  If you download the 12.2.1 update, then you download the wrong thing. This isn't an update for After Effects CS6. The page you link to says that the most recent update for After Effects CS6 is the 11.0.4 update. Use it.

• Problem of SpeedGrade and Red R3D

  I have a major problem with a red 5K (5120 x 2160) timeline. When I use the direct link to first CC Speedgrade support interface but the images never appears in the viewer of Speedgrade. (Just a scrambled mess, see photo)

  I had this experience after the upgrade to Yosemite. When I was on the Mavericks, everything worked fine with the same images.

  Unfortunately your graphics card has enough VRAM to manipulate images of 5 K. You can change the engine reading Mercury to "Software" only when you use the Direct link, or reduce the size of your images below 5 K.

• SpeedGrade hangs at startup

  CC 2014 speed grade crashes on launch... as well when sending a sequence of PP and when just launch the app.

  The system is Mac Pro (mid-2010), 2x2.66 GHZ 6 - core intel zeon, 24 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5870, Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 2.

  Execution of Yosemite, but accidents happened on the Mavericks, as well.

  I mean 3rd party video or audio plugins installed for use with any Adobe application. That may affect SpeedGrade at the launch. Go to the following path and check if it is there:

  MacintoshHD / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Common / Plug-ins / 7.0

• My inner smartdrive dvd player won't read DVDs more.  I have updated to Snow Leopard in Yosemite.

  I am currently using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.  I bought in 2009 iMac with Snow Leopard and have to Lion then updated my current operating system.  The internal dvd player has worked with much fussing, (insert the disc - closing - turn after a wait - by pushing the drive when he jumped on reboot).  If I had the chance after a few hours, the video disc show up on my desk.  When this happened, I was opening the dvd player that was in the Finder and the disc would play. I also tried to open the dvd first player and then insert the disc.  That no longer works.  Yesterday, only it just stop working.  The reader still takes dvd and swirls and click as before but then ejects the dvd. Repeatedly stop and restart is no longer works.  I make sure that the dvd be clean before I use it and have tried many different DVDs without success.  I think it's a software issue.  Does anyone have an idea/instructions a nearly dead grandmother brain that can follow to update or redate back to original factory setting to help this poor Smartdrive not so smart?

  I have no TV, only my computer and phone at low prices.  I need to watch that my library borrowed from the dvd.

  I suspect the optical drive has failed. My 2009 Mac Mini could not shoot with same symptom 4 years ago.

  To confirm a drive failure, insert a Snow Leopard installation DVD and try to start with the C key.

  If this isn't the case, they drive could not be started.

  I would just get an external optical drive, one powered with an AC adapter. The Superdrive Apple USB does not work without a hack.
