  My desttop computer was set to automatically sync with a folder and its subfolders on another office in a network.  The purpose of the sync has been backup.  Today, the other computer had a malfunction serious and removed about 20 subfolders.   Yes, you can stop the clock, but no, you cannot cancel it (unless you have a backup of the files stored elsewhere).  You will need to retrieve the files and folders by using shadow copies (if you have one) or with the recovery software from 3rd party (see below for more details).

  If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.

  The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

  You have to re-create the articles as a PDF. There is no way to change the format of an article having been created in a folio. You can, however, have a mixture of articles PDF and PNG/JPEG of the same Folio.

  Hi, new here. so here goes;  I did a lot of work on nearly 400 photos (raw images) on my Macbook pro. I recently moved to Aperture (and realized how LR's years light to come). In some cases, I'll have the Photo for a particular project on my iMac too and instead of export of ground Jeg salvation, in a perfect world, I would have the 'collection' with all its too live settings on the imac and reference the original Raw files. Is there a way to do this? at the opening, you can export an album or project out and import it. I read a bit on this with several "catalogs", which is the best or the only way to achieve this? I am a passionate amateur of photography 35 k and really into it, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated .

  PS, I haven't used CC of LR to share between the systems of the photo, I'm still looking into that, maybe it's an option.

  Simply copy the RAW files as well as the XMP files to the other system. If you do not have the option checked to store changes, metadata in an XMP make file you check this option in the preferences.

  Just move them to your regular Windows Explorer or anything on a Mac. Then change your site definition to point to the new location.

  If so I think that the menu item is not available to you, because this feature was introduced in the Mac version to emulate a Windows default behavior.
