  You would load drivers in Windows XP the same as you used for Windows XP virtual machine.  Start the virtual machine, then follow the instructions of the manufacturer for the loading of drivers.

  Depends on a number of things.

  (1) you have a unused (never) license OEM for Windows XP * or * you have a currently unused full commercial for Windows XP license.

  (2) your laptop manufacturer supports the operating system more alumni on their system - at least enough to have drivers available for you to download and install.

  (3) your software is supported under Windows XP.

  (4) you have the skills to troubleshoot all of the above (much less get the OS installed, properly patched, etc..)
