You can lock a pdf file to print full size?

I have a questions when others go to print a document and make sure that the document is configured to print full size and we lose the scaling of the document. Is it possible to lock on a PDF print settings so that they are always correct?

You can set a print preset in Acrobat Pro in file > Document > advanced that controls the way the print dialogue box is displayed initially. Of course, someone could also change. You can't lock the print settings.

  • You can convert a .pdf file in a web page of Muse

We have a well formatted in .PDF brochure.  Instead try painfully re-create in Muse, or simply put a boring hyperlink to the .pdf, I would like to be able to import this .pdf directly as its own page in Muse.  Is it possible to do this?

In this case: it is not possible to convert a PDF into a page of Muse.

  • Is it possible to set up a PDF file to print out a copy and one copy?

I work for an organization where we organize different types of successive elections. To this end, we want to send newsletters in PDF format the files attached to an email. But to avoid fraud, it will be necessary to set up the PDF file so that it will only allow one printing file. Is this possible? And if yes: How do we proceed?

I am aware that the Acrobat security settings allow you to set up password protection, and after that, you can determine weather the file should print "in full" or only allow printing LoRes. But the fact is there to limit the number of prints allowed from specific file - in this case to a feeling and a feeling only. Any suggestions... ?

No, not possible. How would it stop - if it was stored in the file, then make a copy of the file before opening it would start from scratch. Many printers can also do a reprint, or change the number of copies of the control panel. You would need a much more robust system to prevent fraud (such as anti-theft ballot papers - but then, it is therefore more a secret ballot).

  • Save a PDF file that retains the size when opening.

I start with my photoshop file. I save as pdf. At the opening of the PDF it opens 2 X the size of my orginal photoshop file. I hit then command 0 to see the size of the original, but it is still much bigger than my photoshop file.

I would like the best viewing experinece to my PDF and I want it opens exactly the size of my photoshop file. It is annoying when it open wide. How can I do this?

    Thank you for your help.

If you have Acrobat, you can open the PDF file and edit the document properties ".» (CMD - D)

On the tab 'Initial view', select the 'magnification' favorite.

Beware that there are limits to the retention of what you perceive as the correct size. Different people have different size poster.

    Use the Acrobat Pro preflight!

To incorporate the missing fonts in Acrobat Preflight profile will incorporate the missing fonts in your PDF file assuming that:

    (1) the fonts in question are installed on your system and

    (2) the police themselves is not protected against the incorporation (they can at least see and print incorporation.

  • Is there anyway to lock a PDF file, so it can not be saved?

I am looking for a PDF file of lock with security properties, but even if it's lock for can not print, edit, copy, etc. I find that I can always go to the "File" menu and save the PDF. This feature can be locked? And do you know if you can lock this feature in the Internet menu too, so you can't print or save?

No, you can't prevent someone to save a document if you make it available for use. You can prevent users from editing the document and do things like print, but not all PDF software pays tribute to these restrictions.

    Hi quoman,

Looks like you're wondering how to add security to a PDF file. You will need Acrobat Pro or Standard to do. If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

Is there a plan I can purchase that allows you to convert a PDF file that is greater than 100 MB?

    Hey samp86509698,

I'm sorry, but the maximum file size of the PDF file that can be exported is 100 MB.

If you have Acrobat, you can reduce the size of the file and then export to other formats.

  • [locked] Allows you to save the PDF file

I noticed that using the form of Distribution via e-mail, Acrobat.com or a shared folder on the network, the user can save the PDF file, correct? I understand that correctly? Another thing, what happens if I don't want to send an email to but want to just the PDF form available on my site, the user will still be able to save a copy of the completed form for themselves, to print or to do what they want?

    aljCharlie wrote:

I want to put my form on my site, and when the user fills out the form they can save at least a completed form for later printing or by e-mail, but with only the player. Is this possible?

Yes. Go to Advanced Options > enable Adobe Reader usage rights. Activate the file, re-register and then publish your site.

  • CAD drawings can be flattened when converted to PDF format - OR - software free Adobe can flatten a PDF file?

I get CAD drawings converted to PDF format on a regular basis to clients using various CAD software systems.  Almost always, the PDF retains the layers created in the CAD document.  Preserving layers significantly slows down the loading time of the PDF and increases the file size as well in my opinion.  If the layers are not selectable or in a list, I can see load a (ie. topo, plans floor, title, block, etc.) on each page of the PDF file.  Does anyone know how to remove the overlay effect?  I heard the PDF file must be "crushed" or perhaps the CAD software is export to PDF there is a parameter that would flatten the layers.  However, I have not the possibility on my PDF software to flatten, and my architects/clients use different CAD software systems, so I don't know how to educate to flatten documents.

    Hi Katie,

You can flatten the pdf using Acrobat, here's how: choose Tools > print > Overview of flattening.

For detailed information, please see the following link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/transparency-flattening-acrobat-pro.html
