  To answer your question directly, you cannot directly embed the fonts used in an InDesign document in this document with the following exception. If you place a PDF or EPS file with fonts embedded in an InDesign document, these fonts are incorporated; you don't need to have any other copy of these fonts available to view, print or export to PDF.

  As noted by another responder, packing an InDesign document that can constitute a mobile with the document policy, but as the separate files in the package (of course, limited to your font license rights).

• Inserting an image 180 degrees that you can move in InDesign

  The title is a bit cryptic, so let me explain. I do a VR app with video and need to create story boards to show examples of the screens that will be included in the application. We will use video 360' in the final application, but for now I wanted to use a panoramic photograph to show a rough appearance. I've seen a tutorial for InDesign 2014 where you can click on a picture and moves to the next in a sequence, creating the impression that the object in the image rotates. This is the tutorial Digital Publishing with InDesign CC: Panorama and sequence of images - YouTube . That looked like it was going to solve my problem, however Folio overlays etc have now been replaced by the DPS stuff so now do this tutorial pretty obsolete.

  I tried to download the old version of InDesign, but the part of the content viewer does not work and I can't seem to find a way that it can be previewed or published which makes this effect works.

  Is there a way or a tutorial that shows how to recreate this kind of effect on the current version of InDesign?

  AFAIK Digital Publishing Suite was the only workflow where InDesign supported panoramas (note to the past) and the image sequence.

  Yes. You can install the 30 day demo and try it yourself. You will not be able to save files edited or created in InDesign CS5 so that InDesign CS can read. So upgrade to everyone, or do very careful about who works on the files.

  There is history, and I hope that you can access.

  I describe the directions using sketch 3.3. In the top menu, you will see an arrow backward. If you give the backward arrow, prolonged pressure, a menu will drop down, showing the downward arrow, an arrow to the front and a clock icon. Tap the clock icon, and the story should appear. The story is considered a blue horizontal line or bar. You should be able to place your finger on the historic bar and move it to the right, to restore the status of your drawing.

  Another way to access the line of history: hold three fingers, and history should appear.

  Select the small image and amounted to a button, place the magnified image and which to a button. Change the button to show/hide the big button do. The large button is hidden until the button is clicked, and then to hide when you click New.

  Alternatively, you can have another InDesign document with images in full size, add text anchors to the images full size.   In FrameMaker documents, you can navigate to something that will become a link in a PDF document to its source, with a "hyperclick" on the page entries table of contents and indexes in the generated files and references or hyperlinks not generated documents. A hyperclick is Ctrl + Alt + click. There is no click back. You can lock the FrameMaker documents to make these active links with a single click and use the dos commands and others on the Navigation menu that appears when a locked document is active.

  To lock or unlock a document for the type of hypertext navigation and release these keys in order: F Escape (must be uppercase) l (lowercase ' el' not important 'eye' or number one) k (must be lowercase). I remember as "(F) Island (l) oc (k).»

  Google search for words like 'Lock of FrameMaker for hypertext Documents' and "FrameMaker navigation Menu" without the quotes, for more information on these techniques.

• Where can I design my documents to be used for DPS?

  Hello. I use Indesign CC and DPS on a Mac and want to create a publication of the simple edition for iPad. What I leave me puzzled, it's where actually put together the graphics and text to my docs Indesign that I'll use to make items.

  (1) I looked at the Adobe 'Create your folio edition single' video tutorial (here) that shows how create a new document and define the intent for digital publishing that creates a page ipad 1024 x 768. It is on this 'model' that I have add my text and graphics or do I have to design them before hand in the form of separate documents?

  (2) if I want to create vertical and horizontal for the same document when I create a new document with the intention for the digital edition, it only allows me to create one or the other. Yet in the video tutorial, the Evangelist has both a horizontal and vertical layout in the same document. How can I do this?

  (3), lets say I have 100 pages for my application, can I create 100 of these new documents defined with the intention for the digital edition?

  (4) the video also illustrates the use of two images for the cover - cover images are dealt with in isolation article pages?

  (5) also is it possible to create a folio with a direction and then later to add the second guideline?

  1. Yes, you add your text and graphics to this page.

  2 Bob probably will chime on this one, but unless you have a REALLY REALLY REALLY convincing to reason to create both orientations, you should take just one. Do two directions double your design services work very little drive.

• Interactive InDesign Document for iPad

  I just created an interactive InDesign, building a portfolio file.

  This document has first page for an index page with thumbnails for each "job" that you can click and the document will then go to the corresponding page. Each work is on a separate page that has multiple slides on it, as an object of State multi, containing images and movies (currently in f4v format).

  I did like that to keep the structure of page as clean as possible. Now, I can have only 1 page for each work and have still several slides in this page.

  Now here's my problem: Is it possible to convert or export the document, so it can be seen on an iPad aswell? (either as an application or html5 or something that the iPad can read?)

  Some info about the complications:

  Since I used the functions which are not compatible with interactive PDF must be exported as a SWF file or in Florida when you export to SWF format, and an html file, it works on the web and on my computer but is not compatible if I wanted to open on an iPad.

  Flash Pro has a feature to export flash iPad apps and html5 documents which looks great BUT when export to format FLA of InDesign strips the document from animation, feature of the buttons and actions so I have to redo all the features in flash until I can export it from there. Unfortunately I do not know flash or actionscript.

  Is there a way either:

  -export in FLA format which includes all actions, so I could just open it in flash and export them directly from flash to html og iPad?

  -convert the SWF exported (including the resources folder) in html5?

  -Export directly from InDesign to iPad magazine or the application that takes in charge: buttons, multi-state-objects, videos, sounds etc?

  I'm running on a mac 10.8.2, creative cloud Adobe (InDesign CS6, CS6 Flash, generally all the apps should work on the latest updates thanks to this great service!)

  You can retrieve the original 2D Type who has been expelled. Select the 3D extrusion. Then in the properties panel, click the Edit Source button. A window will open with the Type original 2D layer that you can drag or duplicate the main document, you can hide or delete the 3D layer.

  I'm doing a few cards for the school. I ready format, all I have to do is to fill the gaps with the names of the children. The problem is, there are more than 500 children.

  I was wondering if there was a tool or something fast, fill formats instead of filling one by one. I have the names on a list, so I can copy and paste their courses, but it is always very painful.

  Or maybe just a way to get the text boxes predefined in the format so I don't have to create one for each name.

  Very easy to do that with my Photoshop and Photoshop script pasteimageroll.  The script will be tile image into a new document. In your case you will prepare a single image proportions, you want to be as a model for graphics data tiles. Then, to create maps of the child.  Then run my script set the DPI you want to print to and the width of the paper you want use, and set the tile size and the number of copies of the image you want in your case 1 then let the script run by clicking ok. The script you will present a dialog box open, select all your kids map image. For example, if you want 3 "x 2" cards without borders as you show set dialog script like this: 12 "wide roll paper 4 cards per line cards 500 would require about 20' of paper roll.  You can create more small document by selecting fewer images to print on sheets. The 13 "x 19" paper 36"images would be good." On rotation tiles 8.5 "x 11" to 2 "x 3" which will take care of 12 cards per sheet as your sample image.
