No, it's either / or choice when buying.
You get Photoshop CS6 (also known as the Standard version) or you get the extended version.
Note: there are some minimum requirements for the system to make the most of Extended esp if you want to use the 3D features.

Need you minimum Photoshop CS6 & Camera Raw version 8.3 use of Nikon 610 RAW files.

However, if you cannot upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6, then you can use the DNG Converter to convert your images to DNG and use it with Photoshop CS5

You need Camera Raw 8.7 or higher for the camera, so you have to CS6 or higher. You can use the free DNG Converter for CS5.

I have photoshop CS5 Extended but my card mother flashed on then I have now bought a new computer and wish of course download another copy, I have my my account serial No. and I downloaded a new copy of the program, the problem comes when I try to install it because I can't find a decompression program that will do they ask for the names of file etc which of course , I have not until I have unzip! can anyone please advise which program will unzip this automatically bearing in mind there are two files with the download. Or is there a way I can download without having to decompress?

X UI Photoshop CC 2014 preference 2 will work also on your display 4 K by running like 1 K screen 1920 x 1080. This is not an option in CS6.

I have trouble opening raw images with my version of photoshop CS3 extended. I have a Nikon D5200 who, according to adobe, it is taken in charge, but when I try to download a camera raw, patch 8bi it does not recognize the file format. Can anyone offer a solution that will allow me to use photoshop with my D5200 when shooting in raw? I have the windows operating system 7.
Thank you for your help, I have already downloaded ACR 8.7 and tried to download the converter DNG will have to back track on what does not recognize the file when I downloaded it. is the problem, now that I need to change my files to DNG of NEF files before opening in photoshop?
Please be patient as it seems to have gotten the jist of the problem, but not sure that the converter is on my computer what should I look for?

Errors when you try to install Photoshop CS5 Extended
I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended on an Asus laptop with Windows 7, 4 GB RAM (3.61 GB usable), 64-bit operating system and 56.4 GB free on drive C. I managed to install this program using this drive on my previous laptop, who recently came at the end of his days, so I don't have a reason to suspect that the disc is damaged.
I can spend about 50% of the installation, and then he tells me that it is impossible to complete the installation errors. The log file is at the end of this post. I tried to use the feature of Creative Cloud Clean-Up, which had no effect. I'm kinda stuck at this point, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

After you have reinstalled CS6, get error 'Photoshop close unexpectedly.
Out of the blue, I tried to open a raw image of the bridge this morning and I received an error message that some components of the application were missing in Photoshop. A quick search on the internet told me that I had to reinstall CS6, so I did and went ahead and reinstalled the CS6 updates too. Now, when I try to open a raw image of the bridge file, I get a message different error that reads "Photoshop close unexpectedly. Click on reopen... "Note that I also get the error even if I try to open the CS6 without going through the bridge. I rebooted my machine and get the same error message. I am running OS X El Cap 10.11.4
The problem has been resolved by updating my OS to the latest version of OS X. Thanks for the answers. Moderators please close this thread.

None of my programs cs6 will open after you have reinstalled cs6 on my iMac. Help?
I had Apple install a new SSD on my iMac and now none of my function of creative suite program. They do not even open. With Illustrator, I do not get any message of error when double clicking. With Photoshop comes an error message: "not could not initialize Photoshop could not initialize CoolType.» And InDesign has an error message, "Adobe InDesign is missing fonts required system or CMap speed. Please reinstall InDesign. I reinstalled the whole creative suite 6 of my drive with my serial number 3 times now and I need help to solve this problem.

SE message "license for this product has expired", after you have reinstalled CS6
I recently updated my operating system on the same computer in Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Of course, this meant that I had to do a clean reinstall of all my software.
When I reinstalled Photoshop CS6, I got an error "licensing for this product has expired."
In hindsight, after studying the problem, I realize, I should had disabled CS6 on my 32-bit installation before the upgrade of the computer, but I did not. I did, however, move on to a new drive hard when I upgraded my OS, so I could put the old drive hard in and disable the original installation after the fact.
However, on the installation of 64-bit, even when I try to uninstall CS6 and install again, he accepts my serial number, but it then gives me the "license for this product has expired message."
I tried to contact Adobe online chat help twice. Whenever I have find an agent quickly, but after asking a few questions, they tell me that they have to transfer me to the Department 'install '. The other night, I stayed in limbo waiting for the installation service half an hour until I dropped. Tonight, I have been for almost an hour and am still waiting.
I guess that CS6 left something in the registry of the 64-bit installation that no longer allows me to install Photoshop with my current (valid) serial number, but I have no idea how to do to repair or move using Adobe. Any ideas? Thank you.
Just to update, I was able to connect with Adobe by phone and solve the problem. The guy on the phone was much more useful than my two previous attempts to contact Adobe by their online chat.
The guy had me repeat the procedure described under Solution 3 in document that Bill refers, however we also did an extra step of running a program called Adobe Creative cloud tool cleaner. This program deleted the files from my system that prevented Photoshop to run.
