You need to reinstall XP Home edition.

I just had my computer repaired and he installed Windows Profesional.  What should I do to reinstall XP Home Edition?

If you still have (or can borrow) from your version of pre - XP Windows installation disc, you can install Windows XP from a disk of Home Edition upgrade.  Boot from the XP disc and follow the prompts.  See the Installer Windows XP page for more details.

If you have a full XP disk (and not an upgrade), you don't need to find the disk for the pre - XP version of Windows.

  • Trying to reinstall XP Home Edition.

I'm trying to reinstall XP Home, as my pc (F-Siemens Scalio 600i) was too old waste it contains. I made a backup of everything on an external hard drive, so I'm not worried about what anyone on this subject. I have read all the articals on the removal of IE v.8 and followed your advice here. IM using another pc for this link and to be reinstalled.

I loked in the Remove programs to remove IE 8, but it is not listed with a button Delete. I appealed, editing the registry and removed all associated I thought internet Explorer and now nothing works properly.

The pc is slow in operation no matter what I choose to do. I am trying to format the hard disk that has been upgraded 12 months in 250 GB sata and it works well. But some items do not work properly and I discovered that a lot of files of operation are missing. I regularly update the latest of all my suppliers of software protection as I us this machine for my photography and music. I would like to have a reinstall while I can reload XP with all the missing files back in place. This should eliminate all the waste that has been collected over the years hoping to make it cleaner to work with.

I'd appreciate help that this machine has now disappeared in less than half operating speed. I can't even go back to the running system restore.

If you have the recovery cd, boot from it and follow the instructions for a destructive installation.

If you have a winxp cd real http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html

The fuji site, specific to your model would probably have also instructions.

NB a clean installation will delete everything, so I hope that you have all your App cd or installation files to the outside, as well as the necessary keys

  • eMachine 5260 crashed because of the virus. How can I reinstall XP Home Edition OS?

My 5 year old eMachine 5260 crashed due to a virus.  Had to buy a new HP with Windows 7 Desktop to enable the family to continue to work.  It's a shame simply throw the eMachine.  Could I check if the HARD drive does not work, remove everthing that was on it and then buy an XP Home Edition Operating System with COST, no matter the eMachine was XP Home Edition OEM installed which I can't do anything with it?  eMachines said that the office is more than 5 years and they cannot send recovery discs, although they said that the disc 3 of 4 may have corrupted, that's why she is not going to fix.  Would really appreicate your kind advice.

  • Satellite L40-139 - need driver Windows XP Home edition for 'ethernet '.

Please can you send me the link to Satellite L40 ethernet control model of laptop for Windows XP Home edition?

    Hello

Satellite L40-139 belongs to the PSL40E series. Am I wrong?
You can check the serial number of your laptop. It should be placed somewhere at the bottom of the unit. Check all labels.

Anyway, the Toshiba driver European page doesn't provide XP drivers for this series at this time. Seems you have to wait a bit until all pilots to be released!

For the only moment that two versions of the BIOS for L40 PSL40E if released.
The BIOS must be updated to the XP version, if you want to use XP on this laptop.

By the way; It seems that this series is supported by the Base map - TX Ethernet Realtek 10/100.
Then you can try the LAN driver from the site Web of Realtek. Should also work.

    Good bye

I restore an HP Pavilion computer and try to install Windows XP Home Edition, with the button on the side of the computer.  I contacted HP and they no longer have an available for this computer recovery CD.  So, I tried to install a copy of Windows XP Edition retail family, but when I enter the OEM product key I get "invalid key".  I read on this forum that you can not mix the OEM disc/keys with detail, but it seems that I don't have to buy another copy of Windows when it came with my computer.  What choices do I have?

    None!

So I don't Support HP and Microsoft no help either.  Activation Center asked me to call the Department of parts (which is incorrect) and the parts Department told me that they cannot provide Windows which was distributed by HP!  Microsoft changed this start with Vista, so I do not understand why they are always telling customers that.

  • You need to reinstall Windows XP. Do I need the CD of the motherboard?

    Hello

someone gave me a computer with some virus on it. I want to wipe the hard drive and install xp. Here's the question-have I need motherboard cd (which I don't have) for installation? or can I just put the xp cd in and then finished?

the mb cd would not have the bios or other important things on that I might need?

    any info will help you.

    Thank you... pat

(it is a different computer from my other post).

You can install XP from installing XP, but you need to maybe go online with another computer and download the network drivers (put it on a USB key) and install those first. From there, you can do just that with the new PC. You can visit the Web site of the manufacturers of drivers for everything.

Most, if not all, stuff on the CD are available online. It's just get online which can be the first hurdle.
