  So, before moving to LR CC 2015, I thought that I would be a little better - organize my photos/catalog I started using LR until I understood the architecture and had several cases of parents where the photos were kept. After you have moved things around, combining files, etc., I have been horrified to discover all my settings have disappeared, but I solved that by loading a backup catalog and you are looking for / fusion records - Fortunately, settings and all my collections return. Phew. Now, wanting to improve, LR CC 2015 wonder what catalogue to choose, so I'm a little iffy on a selection. My selected catalog is located in the folder backups (and, indeed, is a backup), and I'm somewhat terrified to switch to any other catalogue, for fear of losing everything again. So, my questions are these: how to record the catalog (backup), I am currently using the catalog by default/far/fully updated? It also seems that I have a "lightroom" and a "lightroom2015" file, which contain catalogs that have changed yesterday until I restored it from the backup, I'd be happy just to get rid of those who, as I only use a single catalog. If I update my current catalog (backup), I fear that I will create a bigger mess because he will be taken from my backups and that are stored there. Oy!

  To make the simple things that you can do is to first move your current catalog (which is one of your backup files) the backup folder.

  • Create a new folder name catalog real Lightroom and transfer the following files to the backup catalog that you work:

  1 backup Catalog.lrcat

  2. save the catalog Previews.lrdata

  3. backup catalog Previews.lrdata Smart

  • Once you have moved to the new location, and then start with Lightroom CC 2015 .lrcat file, it will then ask you to upgrade and will generate a catalog updated for the same thing.
