Z22!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP PLEASE!   Sorry to be a pain.

I've hard restarted several times but still have no touch screen, only to see the calendar page & cannot turn off just wait this time.

Make sure that you are hard resetting the device correctly.  This article describes the different types of reset for Palm devices:

http://tinyurl.com/zlwza

If a hard reset does not reboot the device and you get to the digitizer calibration screen, it can just, as you say, "packed".

If you can get to calibration screen and it still doesn't react, please see this long discussion at the top of the Board of material that deals with many questions and suggested corrections relating to an apparently faulty touch screen (digitizer).

  • Move the data from Palm Z22 for palm M125

My Palm Z22 batteries do not hold a charge.  I recently bought a Palm M125, but have been unable to transfer data from the Z22, the M125.  My op system is Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition processor.  Is it possible to move the data?

If the Z22 still works, the best way to transfer your data is for her beam to the M125.  At least, for the PIM of Palm of basic data (e.g., calendar, Contacts, memos, to-(tasks)).   On the Z22 in calendar, switch to the display of the day (not the order of the day).  In the menu, select the category of beam, choose the date range and select all from the drop-down list category.  Make sure that receiving IR is selected in the receiving device.  Align them face to face on one foot out and tap the beam.

In Contacts, select the category in the upper right, then open the Menu and select the category of beam.  Same process for tasks and memos.

Data and third-party applications might not let u their beam.   In addition, you will a newer device a lot older with an older operating system that may not work new apps.  So, after you transfer your PIM data, try beaming your third-party apps at a time to see if they run again.  The Z22 Launcher screen (at home), open the Menu, and then select the beam.  Highlight apps one at a time and try to beam at the M125.  My guess is that apps like Documents To Go might not even run, if they let u beam, because they were written for the newer versions of Palm OS than what works the M125.

There is also an upgrade process where you can do this thru Palm Desktop when you switch devices.   But again because once you go towards the back to an older device, there are some compatibility issues with the applications, databases and files of the system, not to mention the questions according to what version you use Palm Desktop.

Let us know if ensoupler works, or if you encounter any problems, in this case, we can go to the ugrade process.  Also, let us know what version of Palm Desktop you will synchronize with.

  • Palm Z22 defining calculator

I have a Palm Z22 - he used to have (a former) calculator format - easy to use - it changed? by itself in a format with a lot of blue keys - it is more difficult to use - how to make the old one?

    [email protected]

Hello wlevinson51, welcome to the HP support community!

When the Calculator display, you can change the layout by clicking on the left button on the 5-way navigator.  By clicking on the common sense will change for other formats.

Another way to change the layout of calc is to tap the menu button to the row at the bottom of the screen, then choose "Options".

Now, you can select 'Basic Mode' to return to the format you had originally.

Note: there are a few other layouts calculator really cool here too!   :-)

  • Synchronous Z22 with thunderbird

    Hello everyone,

I just go a new laptop - it came with windows 8. Great, but what a leap of windows XP! And a lot of problems to continue using some favorite instruments, such as my Palm Z22.

Anyone know if it is possible to synchronize a Palm Z22 Windows 8 and with mozilla thunderbird. If so I would be really grateful for more information.

    Thank you very much.

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Ruthard

Hello Ruthard, you can synchronize with Win8.  Please read the thread at the top of this list of message section, "64-bit Windows USB drivers are here."

I'm afraid I don't have any information on syncing with Thunderbird.

  • Non-responding Palm z22

I have a Palm z22 which I used for several years. This morning, he decided that he no longer wanted to respond to the stylus. If I use the stylus to tap or tap and hold any part of the screen, nothing happens. The buttons are always in any navigation of some and the unit is fully charged.

I tried to do a soft reset. The same situation later. Anyone has any ideas please?

Please see the first two discussions at the top of this section.  Those with gray backgrounds covers issues that have repeatedly called for, like yours.

"Resolution of the digitizer (touch screen) questions" is the one you want.

  • Z22 will synchronize not after the installation of the new office

My Palm Desktop (V 6.2.2) stopped the work - program has reported errors and refused to start.  Suspecting a damaged file, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled.  Now the office will start but not Hotsync with the handheld, Z22 which now contains my one good copy of the data.  Any suggestions as to what I might try?

  • Can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?

I'm upgrading from a Dell XP machine on a computer Dell Windows 8.  My old Palm Z22 driver installation CD will work to load the software into my new Windows 8 machine; or do I need to download a new software specifically for Windows 8?

After losing almost three frustrating weekends, I finally got my Z22 to synchronize with Windows 8.  You never answered my first question [can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?], that would have eliminated a lot of uncertainty in my many attempts to synchronize with the download of version 6.2 has recommended you.  Fortunately, I wasn't the original CD with version 4.2, because 6.2 has toured with a bit more clear instructions and a new download of http://www.palmdr.com/windows-7-64-bit-usb-drivers

Thanks for your advice in any case.

    CaPaMz,

Install Palm Desktop. If you have HotSyncd the Z22 on another PC using the same version of PD.

I put the UAC (User Account Control) to never notify.

    Hello!

What is a windows operating system? If so, then it was preinstalled.

You can't get one from microsoft, you can play online.

    I'm sorry

    Hope this helps: /.

    Shayan Doust

As the Z22 Palm devices run PalmOS, not Windows.

@KenPH , we have no idea where you bought this game, but Google is your friend!

Try to search for "Backgammon for PalmOS" and see what comes!

  • Z22 all data lost palm desktop Memo / can not recover

    Hello

When I opened my z22 office program I got an error message saying roughly memo cannot be opened, it may have saved a '.dat' file but I can't find anything.

None of my memos exist on the desktop anymore, thankfully, they remain on the z22 because it was not plugged in.

I did nothing different than usual, I have no hotsync etc..

I use firefox, windows vista home basic sp2 32-bit T1500.

I tried to open the Palm as an administrator, but it changed nothing.

    Thank you

Have you tried restarting the computer?

When a computer malfunctions, there is always a chance that something might go wrong!  I can't guarantee anything across your screen...

You could try the option "repair" in Palm Desktop.  Go to Tools/Options/tools and use the check now button to see if it can repair damaged databases.

If it were my PDA, I'll try what I suggested.  If you have another Palm OS device handy, try beaming the data to the other device as a backup before you attempt a HotSync.   Don't forget to put the duct as I mentioned - "Pocket replaces Desktop" for the data you want to transfer.  Do not click the box for "Set as default" - you want this happen only once as a test.

  • Palm Z22 Hand held and gel desk top calendar sync

When I try to sync the calendar throughout the system freezes the two top of (computer) desktop and hand-held (Z22).

Cancellation does not have to reset the hand held and use the Task Manager to unlock the computer.

The problem first started with all calendar being wiped of Palm Desktop data. This has happened before, but able to retrieve data via synchronization with the hand. However, due to its Frost that now is no longer an option.

    Can anyone help?

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

You most likely have some files corrupted in the database which is icy.

Find the conduct of the calendar settings in the HotSync Manager program on your computer and set it to "do nothing". Do another HotSync and see if it ends.

If so, I would say you install a free application under the name of 'DBFixit' of here.   Run it after installation and allow it to look for problems.  It will fix most of them for free, others may require register the app with the tax going to an animal shelter.

Once the fix has been done, set the conduit back to 'Synchronize' and see what happens.

  • Reviving my old Z22

I bought this new camera several years back and used until what he went belly about 8 months later.   Out every now and then to see if I can fix it.  The problem is he gets to a screen that says to charge the battery after a factory reboot (made by me according to the instructions on the Palm site).  I have it plugged into my computer with the USB, but it gives no sign of loading.  In addition, the computer does not recognize the device is connected.  This is the point which I always until I throw it in the drawer for another year or two.  I have, in the past, tried to load it from the wall charger and that didn't work either.  I bought this NEW Z22 for $100 and got 8-10 months use out of it.  Now I see on the website of Palm, that to send it in for repair will cost $75 + postage.  Will not not to do.  This, to me, is my last attempt before I throw it in the trash.  Man, that hurt!  Can save you it?

When you press the reset button, do not wait so that it starts and simply keep pressing the reset button. At this point, it is not a battery problem if it starts with the configuration screens.

Looks like that the scanner does not work if it does not accept the taps from the stylus.

The Z22 is not in itself a replaceable battery consumption. You can find internet spare batteries and I've seen some sites that give indications apart take. There may be indications apart take on Youtube and how to replace the digitizer and the battery. When the screen does not respond to taps, it indicates the digitizer is dead.

The link I provide repair services, the digitizer and the battery can be replaced for $22.00 plus delivery charges. It's a good price for parts.

  • Z22 & Palm Pre

Can I move the application Shopping Splash of my Palm Z22 to my Palm Pre?

    Thank you!

To do this, you need to install the application of Motion Apps ' classic' first.  This emulator is supposed to run older Palm OS applications on the meadow.

Search through the App Store on the phone.  (Note: this is the only application which must be purchased, but comes with a trial period of 7 days).

  • Calendar on Palm Z22

My Z22 works OK until I try to access a date of November 28, 2011 or later, how it freezes, and I have to reset it.  I loaded Palm OS version 6.22, which is the last that I could find for the Z22, but that did not help.  Can I continue to use the thing in these last three days from now?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

    Sounds like a corrupt database.

First thing to try is to define the coduit Agenda in Palm Desktop Desktop replaces your handheld, and sync.

If this does not work, try DbFixIt installation and execution of www.pimlicosoftware.com , that will identify any corruption or BLOB of data.  The freeware version will allow you to remove the erroneous data, and the paid version will fix it.
