  I suggest that you configure the computer to start in minimum mode, download the update from the Download Center and try to install the update.

  To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista:

  a. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  b. on the general tab, click Selective startup.

  c. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

  d. click OK.

  e. When prompted, click on restart.

  f. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  When you have disabled the cache, did you do via preferences > Cache Purge? Rarely, this method seems to work for everyone. It hasn't for me, because he never removes all hidden.   I am in the process of upgrading from a piece of test equipment that uses two firewire cameras.

Not all the work of commissions, I tried a little on-site, then chose the one that is recommended by the seller.  In addition, no hubs as they can also stifle bandwidth.

  BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.
