  I am also having the same problem. Run ridiculously hot and battery only for half a day, if I'm lucky. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now. My IPhone 6 never had these problems, and the battery should last the whole day without incident.

  I tried to disable the notifications push and push mail in hope, this may solve the problem, but using the phone this morning the phone become very hot and went down to 10% in charge while checking a few emails. It's certainly not right. I posted a complaint on the Apple Support page. If all goes well, they will be able to do something on this issue, because there is clearly a problem across many users. I've just updated my phone to 10.0.2 in the hope that this can help. Fingers crossed!

  If it gets really hot, quickly, while there may be a problem with the internal fan. As you mention "batteries", consider that he is abouyt a lapto rather than a desktop computer? When you turn on the computer can you hear a fan running? You're not by chance by blocking the ventilation holes that allow hot air to escape?

  If you can hear the fan is running then the fan may have stopped working, anyway, you will probably need a PC repair shop to take a look.   Just make sure that you open any new links in a new tab and not in the App tab.
  
  There are related extensions tab that can protect or lock tabs to prevent them from changing, but open a link in a new tab with middle or Ctrl - left click click isn't extra effort very much.

  The laptop needs to be cleaned every 3-4 months and I do this every 3 months. Whenever I do I m wondering how much dust out and after this procedure the portable is a lot cooler.
