  Hi all

  So I recently bought this new laptop. its technology uses the 802.11ac WiFi.

  wifi works, but is rather unstable. My ping will boost high enough often enough for a few seconds and I usually lose the connection with what I do.

  I'm the only one on the wifi, there are no other programs running that are using the internet, but this continues to be.

  It is quite annoying and did some of my courses online unaccessable.

  If anyone has a solution for this would be great!

  You can try changing your router in order to disseminate the tape of "n" only if you do not have the 'G' tape devices connected to your network. It can improve your signal. You can also try disabling your firewall and router security temporarily just to see if it helps. If your router is equipped with the external antenna, you can buy a spare antenna "high gain".  Since you have a fast wifi card of AC that it might be useful to upgrade your router to a new router to AC.

• Unstable WiFi on NB200

  I have a recently purchased NB200. I have 10Mbit Virgin Media (cable Internet access provider) in my house then to a wireless router. The connection is one problem completely free via my iPhone, iPod Touch and other laptop.

  However, when you connect via this new nb200 it is unstable. The connection may be fine for hours, or several breaks within minutes. When the connection is shutting down my connection Wireless in Windows shows it as being very good, with Excellent signal strength.

  The only way to fix it is to reboot or run the Windows Network Diagnostic Utility, which is that nothing is wrong, but somehow fix the connection...

  Please help because it drives me crazy. If it can't be resolved the machine should be returned according to me.

  It's not easy to say why your WiFi connection is unstable
  First, I would try to update the WLAN driver. The most recent version are on the Toshiba site, if you search for your model (NB200). Download and install it.

  Also, be sure that your BIOS version is up-to-date. You can get it on the Toshiba site too. Sometimes, I read here that the WIFI connection works stable after such update.

  Last but not least try to update the firmware on your router. I had a similar problem connection WLAN n t stable but after the firmware update, it has been resolved. You can get it on the site of the factory.

• Tecra S3 and A2 both with Intel 2200 BG - unstable WiFi access

  My Department is using dozens of portable Toshiba (15 years and more).
  Past generations up until the Tecra S2, everything going well using WiFi.

  Problems started with the A2. Then the same thing happened with the S3. At the same time on the first day.

  Tosbiba NL suggested the driver update: no improvement.

  Test: 1 single - 1 Cisco 1200 AP (802 11 b) - no or brief affair (2 minutes) possible.
  Most of the time, the AP is not visible at all.

  I tried different channels. No difference.
  All other Toshiba laptops with other models of WiFi adapter, works well.

  Test with a 3Com (802 11 b) AP went better, but still a very bad connection speed.

  Test with a Cisco 1230 (802.11 g) was better, but still
  very bad connection speed.

  Suggestions for Intel 2200BG re:
  Power Save polling would cause. But offer no solution.
  Bluetooth co existance. BT is not installed the A2. BT is not enabled on the S3. We do not see the report here.

  There is no influence of other devices operating in the 2.4 GHz band.

  Who has the same experience and is a known explanation/solution?

  I read a few comments on the issues of wireless LAN and WLan driver update procedure especially strange have solved the problems.
  As far as I know on the Intel site, you can find the most recent version of the driver WLan BG.
  I suggest to download and reinstall the driver.

• Very unstable WIFI connection on Satellite A200 PSAE4E

  Just had my Equium A100 replaced with a satellite pro A200 and for some reason that I am fighting to get it connected to my wireless network. I had the old laptop connected properly and used channel 11 on my WAP.

  Now, after trying to connect my new laptop I find the connection very unstable. I tried different channel numbers, and these worked mainly the lower numbers, but are proved to be slow and unreliable. I have other laptops that are very well using my WAP to channel 11.

  Anyone who has experienced this trouble and what is the solution.

• Unstable WiFi with Time Capsule + Booster Express

  Hello.  Every night my wi - fi breaks down.  I called Comcast and they swear the internet connection works and routers are the problem. (Internet works with a wired connection).

  I have 2 routers: Airport Time Capsule 802.11ac with a Terminal Airport Express 802.11n (2nd generation) in the range extender.  Both are about 1.5 years old.

  In the evening, the lights flash yellow and they go in and out.  AirPort Utility often shows messages yellow triangle error.  I can unplug and restart them and often the wi - fi goes back only to go down again later.  In this case all evening.  Increases the frequency and duration of the outage.

  If it is in fact a router problem, suggestions on how to solve the problems?

  For the first question, try to go to start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup and that should clear of junk.  Then click Start | Run and type msconfig and disable the startup items, that you don't need, as many programs decide that they must run at startup and clutter the machine when they do not need to.  Also perform a defragmentation of the disk (under system tools also).  See if that helps with performance and other issues.

  Recently, I am facing a problem of unstable wifi, slow speed of the internet of my macbook pro. I hope someone could help me with my problem.

  
  

  Symptom:

  Internet mainly speed just unstable using a wifi connection. (no problem with wifi connection self and my wifi suddenly grave would not be)

  Example:

  • FaceTime with my friends and the connection would suddenly abandon or images & audio gets fuzzy.
  • Videos in online streaming and suddenly occurs buffering.
  • Download file of software update iPhone via iTunes, the speed is slow, he needed to take 2 h at the end and later on a window display "cannot download and check your internet connection".
  • Suddenly cannot open websites like site apple.com, google.com. Sometimes it will take more time to open Web sites.

  Hardware and software:

  Modem & router: Netgear N450

  Test:

  Turn off my wifi and connect my macbook pro with modem & router with cable, internet high speed is stable and fast. Internet speed download speed test result display is of around 60Mbps, download speed is around 8Mbps. And I tried streaming using the connection cable, there was no buffering.

  I already tried the possible Solutions:

  • Restart the Macbook pro and restart Modem & router: will not work. I mean the internet will be very well at first, but later would be unstable again.
  • Reset Wireless Modem & router and change channels: useful, but not completely solve the problem. After you change the wireless channel, I tested my internet speed and the result showing 20-40Mbps (slower than 60mbps) speed download. Sometimes, the result will be like 6-8Mbps and sometimes it will be 60Mbps. If its unstable.
  • Wireless diagnosis: result indicates connection is good.
  • Called my ISP provider: they checked and said all right.

  
  

  Other Questions & details:

  • The internet is ok for most of the time. But when all of a sudden I can't open site or I can't download and streaming & FaceTime at normal speed, his frustration.
  • I thought it might be related to my hardware since its an old macbook pro. I can't run Apple hardware test because I don't have the installation disc more and my macbook pro is very old. Is it a third party software that can perform the test hardware on mac?

  I understand that you experience an unstable WiFi connection when you use your HP ENVY 114 e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to help.

  When users report this kind of problem, I generally recommend from scratch with the installation program. Namely, start this process of restoring factory default values * of your printer.  Here's how:

  * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom address @hpeprint.com it is permanently erased. For more information about custom addresses ePrint, click here.

  • In the front panel of your printer, press Setup key wrench
  • Touch tools
  • Support on restore defaults.

  Then fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.

  Once you complete these steps, you will need to re-enable wireless and Web services (if you are a user of ePrint).  Before doing this, click here for extensive troubleshooting and configuration steps for the question says that you are a statement.  Work your way through the Solutions in the order presented.

  So I got my Dell inspiron 3148 recently. Everything was fine until I upgraded to win 10. I got the same questions as everyone else - unstable Wifi connection. I have tried many options/suggestions available out there, none worked for me.

  But I noticed a pattern - everyone was pointing to faulty drivers.

  So I decided to delete the driver wireless Dell Wireless 1708 and installed the Win delivered 10 - 6.30.223.256 Broadcom driver that seems to solve the problem for me. No connection or erratic speeds drop.

  My guard time capsule saying "Backup failed" for a few days and I cannot access the old backup files either (when I enter my time machine it shows 'today', which is kind of scary, although I know that my old files is still there). I tried many ways to trouble shoot this problem, but none of this has worked. In my opinion, it's more a network problem and I made sure I connect Wi - Fi even my time capsule created.

  So far I have tried:

  -Delete the files from my internet (com.apple.airport.preferences.plist; preferences.plist and NetworkInterfaces.plist, etc.) and restart my mac

  -Remove TimeMachine.plist and restart my mac

  -Hard reset of my time capsule. Went through all configurations with success but then still backup missed (I hear the running time capsule when it is by train).

  I share this time capsule with my wife and she has no problem with that.

  I can only think of a possible alternation I did which could cause this problem.

  Because of unstable WiFi problem, I had deleted

  com Apple.Airport.Preferences.plist

  com.Apple.Network.identification.plist

  NetworkInterfaces.plist

  Preferences.plist

  or other files and reboot my mac * before * I had this problem with time capsule.

  However, this is not the first time I do it, and it wasn't a problem before...

  What model is the TC?

  Try to force the connection to 2.4 ghz using different names for the various bands... or even better to use ethernet.

  (You may need to buy love at first sight for adapter Ethernet... is an investment worth considering how unreliable wireless).

  Also give me some screenshots of the TC installing airport utility.

  My satellite seems to suffer from an unstable WiFi connection. It seems to be worse when operating on battery. I read a few comments in the FAQ, indicating that it might be an old driver or my settings for energy savings.

  I installed a newer driver and also tried to change the energy settings on my adapter (not allowing to close), but without satisfying the result. Other options I could try. I find it rather annoying, especially because my I - pod works great on WiFi...
