zbook

Hi, I bought a ZBook 15 and cannot get my Dell U2713HM to work with her.

http://homepage.univie.AC.at/Markus.GRONEMANN/ubook-specs/HP/QuickSpecs/zbook_15.PDF

This specification stipulates that the DP Port supports same 4K UHD. My Nvidia panel shows the connected monitor. I can choose different resolutions, but none of them show no image on the external monitor.

In addition, the fonts in the browser and other software looks blurry on the screen of the laptop. But I read that it is a problem of Windows 8.1 I can live with him? Don't know if you can see on the screenshot...

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone gotten the 200W 3 Thunderbolt Zbook dock and all managed to make it work?  I recently took delivery (a few months late) and cannot operate.  When I plug it (and I made sure each driver I have is also present on the HP site), I start running in a series of questions.

    • My ethernet seems to work fine
    • Try to install any sort of updated drivers (found in various places on the web) results ASMedia a BSOD
    • The laptop will be bad shut down or restart with the cable in place.  Forcing a hard stop (power button for several seconds) sometimes results the laptop is able to start and other times it simply crashes to the POST screen.
    • Unplug the docking cable, while the laptop is booted up only shows nothing unplugged.  a reboot is required (usually a hard reboot) to get actually the mobile register that the dock is disconnected.
    • Similarly, sometimes after a restart, the laptop will not register when I plug the dock, unless I have successfully completed a cycle of full restart where the laptop is connected to windows without the dock, and then been rebooted (no hard restart) and connected in a second time.

  • Zbook G3 HP: HP Zbook Thunderbolt 3 Dock USB ports not working not

I have a HP Zbook Thunderbolt 3 dock on my HPZbook G3.  I've recently updated the BIOS and the firmware to the latest version to solve other problems 'dock '.  Am now at the latest for both.  The two monitors and ethernet on the work of lightning 3, but none of the USB ports are active.

I am sure that the USB ports work, because they used to work before the update BIOS and firmware.  Keyboard, mouse, or USB memory on the dock work.

I tried to go to the HP support and install the updates with the USB in it, but it didn't work.  I have a workaround - just connect the laptop directly, but I'd like to get my fully functioning dock.

Device Manager does not display devices with questions.  I'll try to update, but I don't know which one to look at.

  • ZBook 17 G3: ZBook 17 G3 with nvidia Quadro M2000M

    That's right - who's wrong... If any?

I have a G2 470 ProBook Revit and Autocad Architecture running G6W69EA and it does not work well.

So I think buy a ZBook 17 G3 instead, and comparing the different specifications, I came across this:

According to NVIDIA to http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-for-mobile-workstations.html the Quadro M2000M made for the Platform 15.6 ".

Among other things, HP ZBook 17 G3 - T7V62EA #ABY is built according to the specifications of HP with the Quadro M2000M, however it NVIDIA should be the M3000M when it is on a platform 17.3 ".

Is this perticular ZBook good built, or is - this 'money by windows' not go for something like the Y6J67EA with Quadro M3000M place?

There is nothing wrong with the 17.3 "and the combination of M2000M.

The M2000M is enough for most use Revit and Autocad.  Very complex models may require the graphics power of addition, where intermittent 3D rendering or low complexity models can work very well with less graphical power.

Windows 7 configurations are always available because some big company facilities have not yet standardized on Windows 10.

  • HP ZBook 15 G3: BSOD when connecting to the HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 docking station

I recently (yesterday, 16/08/16) began to experience the dreaded Blue Screen of Death, whenever my laptop is connected to my HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock.

The machine is a HP ZBook 15 G3. It was connected to the docking station for more than a month without this problem. I don't know why at the time because I don't remember any updates or new software before that happens.

The dock is connected to 2 x monitors via HDMI cables and an ethernet cable. I connect a mouse and wireless keyboard to a USB3 port on the laptop.

If the dock is connected to the laptop at the start, he reached the login screen front of BSOD. If I start without it connected, it will be BSOD a few seconds after connecting the dock. He never to the point where the monitors display anything. It can be started with the dock connected in Safe Mode, as it seems to disable job.

I've updated all the drivers and BIOS (including download the Softpaq Download Manager), but there has been no change. I have also updated the NVIDIA drivers to the latest version without change.

What should I do next to solve the problem?

Did you analyze the dump files, they said?

I would also like to update these:

Intel's Thunderbolt sure Connect utility (15.3.40.275)
Thunderbolt from Intel for the Dock Thunderbolt from HP (16.1.7.0.8) Firmware update
ASMedia eXtensible Host Controller Driver (1.16.35.1)
ASMedia ASM1042A Firmware Update for HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock (131025.10.11.23)

More BIOS if you're not on 1.09 or 1.10, some people say that they have problems with 1.10, so maybe try downgrade to 1.09.

You can also try experimenting with the 'Thunderbolt security level' setting in the bios security switching No. If it is authorized by the user, or vice versa.

    Which is correct?

I think I solved the problem to my satisfaction, I hope it helps others.

Also, I tried to get more information of HP chat support, but they left hear only the computer off and then unplug.  It would be the 3rd option HP (and the worst option) to follow no real clarity on the procedure of HP.  The Zbook attach end of nightmares?

I believe that the white paper (4AA6-5088EEW, August 2016) made the most sense, although it may lack key information:
    http://WWW8.HP.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA6-5088EEW.PDF

The white paper says to unplug the dock (without preparation), what seems dangerous to me.  Only, I'm ready to do if the USB devices plugged into the dock to comply with Windows "Rapid withdrawal" of the policy in the Device Manager settings.  The keyboard and the mouse need not of settings, since they are different profiles of USB.  Someone braver than I can try to ignore the parameters of "Quick release" to find out what's going on :-).

The political "quick withdrawal" is not set, then if the option 'Remove the device safely' with the icon of USB in the bar of tasks, firstly, and THEN do the Zbook dock disconnect.  I think that's what the document online tried to say in words very confusing and lacking other details:
    http://h20565.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.Oid=11122586 & docLocale = en_US & docid = emr_na-c05060909

So far, I didn't re-docking on the fly and disconnection problems.  I run all the latest Zbook 15 G3 drivers, BIOS 1.10 etc, for those who want to know.  More a few bug fixes for the Zbook dock and it will be a good product.

  • T7V51EA: ZBOOK 15 G3 - MXM... what product code?

    Hello world

I want to know what model of Zbook G3 15 MXM slot for GPU upgrade.
I'm in Italy and I'm looking for this product code: T7V51EA with over-pants w5710m GPU. Is this a MXM have?

What codes of laptops have the MXM slot (computer 15 "laptop)?

    Thanks for the help guys

You have more than one product. The Zbook 15 Studio G3 is a different laptop, as the 15U. The U15 lacks an MXM slot and neither does the model Studio. In both cases, the video is soldered to the motherboard. Zbook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation models all have an MXM slot and understand those you list a MXM graphics card. You can't assume that you can replace and upgrade the video card with something other than an official part of HP. MXM video cards are not in 'standard' as maps of office. Also the nVidia Quadro and AMD over-pants maps use a different radiator.

I can personally verify the configuration of the workstation Mobile G3 Zbook I an and that you actually installed an inside MXM graphics card and I found the manual for the 15U and Studio and the nether show an MXM slot. Return ticket for any other information you might need.

  • ZBook 15: ZBook HP 15 upgrade question

    Hello

I have a HP Zbook 15 G2 and I want to upgrade my laptop. The vehicle currently has a 256 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM DDR3L. I would like to insert an additional SSD and possibly another 8 GB of RAM if it is possible. I have no idea how to do that well or if this is possible at all, is there any guide autour on how to do that for my model? Are there enough hours/room for that niche?

    Thanks in advance.

You have a SATA 2.5 inch hard drive installed. See the '1' which is an open RAM slot and '2' is a slot of free RAM and the thing across left to right the image just above the '1' is a connector m2 on the left with the operation of the screw holes on the right. You can put one of them in this niche, and it will be a hard drive.

If you need assistance. I just put one of these in my Zbook 15 G3 MWS and it's silly fast. I use it as the startup disk and then have a SATA drive like yours for storage.

  • ZBook G3: Problem connection Thunderbolt 3 150 W

    Hello

    I bought a Zbook Studio G3 15 "laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 150W docking station.

I can not connect those two togheter. Is there someone who has the same problem?

    I also have a zBook 15 G3 with a 150w Thunderbolt 3 dock.  I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Here's what I have loaded that gets the connected:

In the BIOS, the advances and port options is set to No Security

    The BIOS is 1.06 Rev A (SP76037)

The Thunderbolt Firmware is 16.1.7.0.6 (applied with SP74935)

    Intel's Thunderbolt course connect 15.3.39.250 (SP74783)

With this Setup, I get problems with the USB ports does not work after a reboot, then get a 9F stop when stop after the reboot.  I have a box to open with HP for that to be resolved, but don't know whether or not it is specific with my hardware.

  • ZBook 14 wireless problem solved!

For a few months now, my ZBook 14 (still under warranty) drivers wireless (Intel Wireless - N 7260 BN) were not loading at startup about 50% of the time.  Pilots would almost always successfully load if I restarted, but it was aggravating circumstances somehow.  I called HP Elite ZBook Technical Support and they walked me through several stages, including the uninstall and re - install the latest drivers, but nothing helped.  They arranged for a HP field Support Technician (FST) to install a new wireless card.  Personally, I thought it was a hardware problem, but that seemed to be their next step.

So, today, their TSP arrived and quickly installed my new wireless card.  Well, it does not solve my problem, so she put the old card in and then began to make inquiries.  What she found is that even though my computer reported that he had the latest version of the BIOS installed, there is NO!  06/02/15, I allowed my computer to update to the latest version of the BIOS, which then was 01.30 (release date 09/12/14).  However, she discovered that a subsequent update of the BIOS (01.30 A) had been released only a week after the patch (dated 12/15/14) 01.30 in the desription of the BIOS update he said that it was precisely to add support for my card Intel Wireless-N 7260 BN

Big CONGRATULATIONS to the girl TSPS for gap identification and the new installation of the BIOS update solved my wireless card problems!  I apparently never thought that because my computer reported that he had the latest version of the BIOS installed, and which does not recognize my "HP Support Assistant" software it was a newer BIOS available, either!

Just for an update, even after my ZBook is update to the latest version of the BIOS (01.30 A), my "HP Support Assistant" software always reports that my version of BIOS is 01.30.  It of like the software recognizes numeric characters, but can not see the Alpha "A" character.  Just thought that info may help someone.  Proof that you can't ALWAYS trust your HP Support Assistant software...

  • Output display on TV LED to DisplayPort on zbook 15

    Hello

    I have a portable zbook 15 product D5H42AV.

On this laptop, I have a DisplayPort output and Thunderbolt.

I bought on the market (not HP) DisplayPort adapter to HDMI.

I can't get the result displayed on my TV (full HD) LED.

If the adapter supports only DisplayPort 1.1 and 1.2 not?

I want to see the screen on TV, I'll use a DisplayPort adapter or an adapter Thunderbolt?

Is it possible to troubleshoot why can I not print output to the TV from my laptop?

I solved the problem. The adapter was working fine.

The problem was a faulty HDMI cable. I'm trying to connect my DVD player to the TV with the same cable and I realized that the cable did not work. It was something I wasn't expecting.

I replaced the cable and everthing very well now.

    Kind regards.

  • Add hp Zbook G3 studio additional ssd - drive surgestions

    Dear community,

I would add an additional SSD to my Hp Zbook g3 studio. I found that the following SSD is compatible with my laptop but unfortunately it was sold for the last 2 months.

Essential MX200 m2 Type 2280 (Single Sided) 500 GB internal SSD

Therefore, I have a few questions about an additional SSD:

-Is it better to add an SSD of 500 GB and the use of external storage or a 1 terabyte SSD?

-Each SSD 2280 m2 (single Sided) is compatible with my laptop?

    - And what is someone knows an SSD alternative to the above which is compatible with my laptop?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Greetings,

    Rick,

The complexity of all this is the way out of hand. What you are, it is a SATA m2. I just put a disc of NVME m2 (aka PCI-e) of 512 gigabytes in my G3 Zbook (no studio). I know that your laptop is a little different, but I'm pretty sure that it's the same kind of m2 of housing and I don't know that a SATA would work. I know that it doesn't work the other way around. If the laptop is made for the m2 SATA drives only, you cannot use a PCI-e. In fact, I installed an official part of HP. The ordering process is another question, but let's say I got it, and it turns out to be a Samsung SM951:

    https://www.Amazon.com/Samsung-SM951-512GB-NVMe-MZVPV512HDGL-00000/DP/B015CWR4M2/ref=pd_lpo_147_tr_t_3?ie=UTF8 & PSC = 1 & refRID = YA2TAQZPDE3NNQCWCNSH

I used it to replace a Samsung PM951 256 concert which is like the PCI-e m2 budget model, so I know that two of them are working.

Look at the pictures and you can see a difference. The SATA drive has 3 pins that plug in and the PCI-e has only 2.

    The manual on page 2:

    Manual

Specifies EITHER a SATA m2 or a PCI-e, so you can be OK, but I'll tell you a PCI - e has double or triple the speed of read/write.

    Mine supports 2 x m2 and a 2.5 inch SATA. Your accepts 2 x m2 I read the manual and what appears to be a 2.5 inch non-standard SD

I actually still the 256 PM951 concert. We can help you find something compatible and I can tell you that the HP part was estimated at a very favourable point (about the same as the Crucial which is out of stock) If you can't stand waiting rather difficult and slow checkout process.
