Zero retention in Excell

Our security team has imported an Excell its Tungsten E2 sheet follow decals while out of the Office of parking.  The worksheet is hotsynched to the unit using Documents To Go Palm.  But, when we use the tool of research for a series of numbers (e.g., 0004) zeros are no longer visible in the worksheet.  All we see is the number 4.  Where do we go wrong?

Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

I think your problem could be related to the formatting of the spreadsheet cells.

If you have a simple number entered in a spreadsheet cell calculation as 0004, all you will see is the 4.  So a number before it with "000" numbers appear in this way (e.g., 0004), the cell must be formatted as text, or entry must be made in the form of text (i.e. with an apostrophe ' before the number).

I just did a quick test sending an Excel of office for my Centro and opened it with GDH on the Centro.  A column was listed as 001 without text formatting.  The second column was entered 001 but in text format.  The two columns transferred and if displays correctly on the Centro ('1' in the updated column shaped in the form of numbers and "001" in the column as text).

Then when I do a search of the worksheet on the Centro, nothing gets changed in the results... search for "001" product a success on this cell with no change to the number.

Of course, the problem with setting numbers entries in shape like text is that you can perform calculations on them.

    Hi PIF users and experts.

I met a problem when I use the RTF model and Excel is the output.

One of my text in XML format field contains
    for example
    < LΓcoentr├⌐e > 0773 < / LΓcoentr├⌐e >

I use <? LΓcoentr├⌐e? > RTF model code to display this field, but when I saw in previous Excel zero will disappear.
I can see only 773 in excel o/p for this field.

Do you know how to achieve zero previous display as well?

I tried to use <? xdofx:Concat(''',INPUT_ID)? >, but it does not work as well.

You will also need to put the equation sign (=), not the quotes only.

  • myRIO data update

    Dear Sir.

I have a confusion in VI that I joined. I want to import the data that I had had in myRIO. So I created a variable shared for factor of voltage, current, power. When I start excel VI the current value is updated as a ZERO in the excel worksheet.

The other question is, whenever I run the final VI of the voltage and current values are continuously updated, when I stop the VI power factor values is updated. I first thought the reason behind this is the power factor is placed on everything in loop.even when I removed the while loop, the power factor value is displayed a zero and the same continuous continuous when I stopped the VI. I couldn't solve this problem Sir, so I ask for your help, please help me to tackle this gentleman of the error.

    Hi Swathik,

The answer to your question as to why the updates of the power factor is only once because you have placed this flag outside the while loop (as you mentioned). The solution is not to remove the while loop, but put all the code you want to be updated / repeated several times in a single while loop, i.e.., if you want that all the calculations of factor of power and the parameters (P, Q, S, phi) to implement also each time and connected every time put it inside the while loop.

Another thing, is the inappropriate use of shared variables. It must be very careful in implementing the same.

It is much better to go forward with the architecture of consumers producer you can follow this link

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/3023/en/

The loop of the producer will keep generating the myRIO values, and the loop of consumer will record the data in the excel worksheet.

    See you soon,.

  • Behavior of multiple targets in a Table

    Hi all -

I'm new to CS5 and have played with Mouseover and mouseout/mouseouthandler() events.  He seems to have understood that down, but I want to do more with it.  I have a table with a header of line called 'Bright Angel' point of departure and a column with a column called "Starting Point for BA."  Their point of intersection is a '0' (zero).  I was able to get a color distinctive information to appear and come out with a mouseover and mouseout/mouseouthandler() on each of these three cells.  What I would really like to do is to get the background color of all three cells should appear when the cursor is placed on the inner cell, the one with the zero as an Excel spreadsheet does.  In other words, how can I get multiple targets for my mouseover event.  Any help here would be appreciated.  Here is the page that I've played with:

    http://www.oldhikers.com/play.html

    Richard

Your table is going to be more complex than that.  A better way (in my opinion) would make the spreadsheet that is generated on the fly, or leave a XML dataset or a set of database records.  In this way, simply to write mods for a single line, which is then replicated across from the table by the script server.

Nevertheless, the approach would be the same that I have proposed for the highlighting of cell.  You would chain just as the event claims the onmouseover and the onmouseout.  I have modified your code a bit - see the page here and study my changes.

  • With the help of Excel, the zero in front of the fixed phone and GSM disappears after moving to the next cell

Make a list of phone numbers in excel. The zero in front of the fixed phone and GSM disappears after moving to the next cell. Any advice? Worked before excel on request, so the knowledge base only. Thank you. L. H.

In addition to advice of GTS - NJ, who will work, you can put an apostrophe before the zero and it will cause zero to keep.   Instead of enter 0123, enter "0123.

  • Answers-download Excel report to loose the zeros

    Hello!
When I download answers report to Excle (Word) I lose the zeros.

When I export to PDF (cross from Oracle BI publisher) zeros are correct.

    Any help please.

    Hello

You can try adding the following statement in the section custom CSS, column properties:
    "" mso-number-format-@:

    See a preview here:
    http://i53.Tinypic.com/a09kqv.jpg

This will process the data in the column as a text for download to Excel, conserving spaces beginning or end.

  • Prevent the deletion of zeros from Excel

    Hello everyone,

We use BEEP 10.1.3.4 and want export the records identified by subgroups in Excel format.

The problem is that subgroups has a fixed length of four characters, only the digits "0000" and "9999". Excel removes all zeros, so the first groups of building are short, for example instead of "0010" only "10" is displayed.

I tried the answer to the threat of 'Character injects zeros when export to Excel' (Re: character drops zeros when exporting to Excel with the use of the statements of fo:)
    <fo:bidi-override direction="ltr" unicode-bidi="bidi-override">
    <?XML_ELEMENT?>
    </fo:bidi-override>
But this has no effect. Since BI Publisher does not create native/binary Excel rather than XML such as the files I checked the output with a text editor. The content is properly written in XML tags.

Other solutions like the field in packaging quotes = "<?" XML_ELEMENT? > cannot be used because the file must be imported by another software. If anyone has other suggestions, we will try to schedule a CSV interface.

    Thank you
    Stefan

    Hello

The syntax shows the output as required for you. I tried just on my model.

Please check your model and the XML data once.

  • Character grave zeros when exporting to Excel

I have a model that once exported to Excel of the E-Business Suite, removes the leading zeros. We want these zeros to be there.

For example, project number 000400 is SEGMENT1 of PA_PROJECTS_ALL seen in Word, it shows the full text string. When the user exports to Excel, it goes down three zeros and does is display 400.

Is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you
    Rob

It is not necessarily Excel text field. My Adviser on the link suggests putting it like that on the model:
    =""
that is, adding quotes and sign of the equation. If you do this, Excel will treat as text and preserve the leading zeros.

  • How to keep the zeros in a number in the excel output.

    Hi all

I have a requirement to display numbers as text in the excel output. Ex: 001 should be displayed as 001 and not 1, as happens in excel.
I know view 001 ' 001' works, but this is not acceptable.
Also, I need to send a huge file (> 20MB) by bursting like an E-mail, but the mail is not received yet the program break ends in success. I tried the option compression as well, but to no avail. I know that this can be done by FTP, but I need to send it by e-mail.

  • Equivalent LabVIEW to Excel "SOLVER".

I learned how to solve nonlinear equations in Excel using Solver.  Is there something equivalent in LabView?

    I have an equation:

    T = 1 / (A + B * lnX + C * lnX ^ 2 + D * lnX ^ 5).

Where T is the temperature, and X is the resistance of the thermistor.

Now, I want to solve (iterative) for X.

I looked around mathematical functions and have not found something that looks like what I want.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Simulation read data file (*.) (DAT) by using the worksheet (file reading eror - zeros)

    Dear OR community,

IM pretty new in LabVIEW, so I have a few broblems with reading the data.

I take a screenshot and mark a problem like part - A and part b below:

    The description of the goal:

I do a mathematical simulation, using the old software whitch exporting results as shown in 1... DAT file, as it shown in the picture (Notepad).

First of all I need not read these data then I need to draw the graph XY.

    Description of the problem:

I created a LabVIEW program and im using a funciont reading of spreadsheet per section B - but when im trying to read data im getting all zeros...

so I can't identify my problem... What is the problem?

I try different file to read its Case_test_working.txt and everything is good with this data but when im trying to read *. DAT file zeros is array...

I tried to use seperator different symbols, also try to imort data to exel then export to *.scv, *.txt formats, but the performance was the same as that indicated in part-A.

Whenever I get zeros, but not a results as in *. DAT or another file format exported with the same data.

Please be respectifull and understand that im still newbie in labview but I think its excellent software of filtering of the analysis of data and calculations, so I want to master this software for my future use.

  • RefNum becomes zero

    Hello

I'm working on Report generation toolkit for MS office, Excel to be precise.

I have a loop where in the program takes data from a spreadsheet and paste to another sheet for some operations,

Meanwhile, refnum value suddenly becomes zero. Strange behavior observed,

It is said that 1 error to "generate report Get data to modify.vi:20.

    Possible reasons

    Object 0 x 000000 is not valid

What happens to the value of refnum suddenly?

    Thank you

Do you pass your refnum around the loop with a registry to offset?

If you do, the refnum somehow Exchange after a report generation screws and should be changed back?

  • How to get the timestamp to start at zero hours?

    Hello.

I build software that records the values to Excel.

The user can specify how long the test should run for, and the elapsed time should be defined as a string in hh: mm [:]

The only problem is that the timestamp begins at 01:00 (calibrated 1904-number I guess). How can I get the count from 00:00:00, or perhaps to subtract the time at the beginning then it starts at zero.

If you run the VI, you will understand what I mean.

    Thank you!

    Hi auto,.

You must use relative time instead of absolute time - see the attachment...
