• The installation of Zoo Tycoon 2 in Windows 7, now I can not install the expansion packs.

  Thanks to the person here who has posted the trick to set virtual memory to 2048, I got edition of Zoo Tycoon 2 guards running. Now that I'm trying to add expansion packs, I get the message that I did not install Zoo Tycoon first, and that I need to install it. What?

  Before using the virtual memory fix, I found here, I tried to run in XP mode, using the also found instructions here. I wonder if this is the reason why I get the error message, and if so, should I uninstall and reinstall without changing the compatibility mode?

  Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I solved my problem by uninstalling Zookeeper Collection, replace and reset maximum memory of 2048.

  Once I thought I had installed as an administrator or as the account of my children, I have had no problem by uninstalling Zookeepers Collection and put it back. Install the expansion packs was easy after that.

  I'm going to bookmark the Zoo Tycoon Support site for later use. Thank you.

  I bought my grandson the game PC Zoo Tycoon 2: extinct animals Expansion Pack and didn't see the message of "Zoo Tycoon 2 to play the calls."  No problem; so I buy the game Zoo Tycoon.  My problem is: I can't find a Zoo Tycoon 2 game that supports Vista.  It is still available, and if not, can you download something that drives?  Surely they wouldn't do a Vista sustainable game which requires a game you can't play.  I can't found.

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum.  As long as your version of Vista is 32-bit, you should be able to run Zoo Tycoon 2.  There have been some problems reported with computers have 4 GB of RAM as well.  Once you install the game there is a update available on the site Web of Microsoft Game, you may want to consider to download and install.  Here is the link:

  Right-click on the zt.exe file and choose "Run as Administrator" to launch the program.
   
  See if you are able to play the game.

  If this does not work, turn your computer to clean the start State and see if the fgame plays very well.
  
  To put your computer in a clean boot, follow these steps:
   
  Note: If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.
   
  1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.
   
  2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

  I am running Zoo Tycoon 2 on Windows 8 with a Nvidia GeForce GTX645.  I installed ZT2 and get the following error when you try to play: Zoo Tycoon 2 could not create a graphics converter. Your provider of graphic adapter to ensure that you have the latest version of the driver.

  I already did so that my drivers are up to date.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

  The problem is specific to a Zoo Tycoon 2?

  This problem may occur if the graphics drivers are damaged. I suggest to uninstall and reinstall graphics card drivers and check if it helps.

  To uninstall the device drivers, follow these steps:

  a. drag the mouse down to the left and right click on the Start icon.

  b. Select Device Manager.

  c. right-click on the device driver, and then click Uninstall.

• I have a new idea of Zoo Tycoon game! (Microsoft Game Studios)

  I was playing Zoo Tycoon today and I thought of an idea to bring the Zoo Tycoon but better! I tried to go to zootycoon.com and bluefang.com, but they both stopped, I guess because they closed.

  In any case, my idea is to bring the Zoo Tycoon. Here is a list of what I thought:
  1 includes everything in Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2, including all the expansion packs.
  2 mode Guest, where you can walk around as a guest to interact with objects and animals should be included, but you should be able to interact with customers, too. For example, you could go up to a guest, press the SPACEBAR, and have a little chat with them, as to seek their advice on the zoo, their favorite animal, things like that.
  3 Add more animal-like extinct animals, animals (unicorns) Make-Believe, tons of animals!
  4. When you are playing in free play, you should have unlimited money as you do in Zoo Tycoon 2 and have everything unlocked for you, even things that need a cheat code.
  5. There should be a lot more like roller coasters, ferris wheels and rides.
  6. in guest mode, you should be able to interact with objects, as in the slide, you should be able to press the space bar and down actually it.
  7. you should be able to turn into an animal. I know it's a little out there, but think about it! It would add humor to the game! You could run as a lion invited scaring, but even not make them hurt!
  I have many more ideas, but it would take forever to write them all! Comment what you think of this idea to get Blue Fang Games (TM), Microsoft TM and Tycoon (TM) Zoo, game all together again! It's like when I was a little girl and I want to play Zoo Tycoon all the time! It would really bring back memories for many people! Then please comment if you have other ideas or simply to tell me what you think of this idea. I'd like to hear your opinions! Thank you! Bye!

  The first CD downloaded correctly. I can even play this part of the game. But the second CD will not download. It is the Marine Mania & Dino Digs. • Problem running the Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection

  I just installed a fresh copy of Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection on my laptop with windows 7 and can not enforce. Whenever I try to start the program (after waiting a few minutes) it comes up with the message-

  "Insert the Zoo Tycoon 2: ultimate collection disc 1 into your CD-ROM drive, select ok and restart application."

  I already have disk 1 in and I tried 2 other drives as well, but it still does not work. I have re-installed twice now and checked that my computer meets the requirements - what it does, but I still can't get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Generally you encounter this message if the installation of the game is not over and that you are trying to read. Uninstall the game completely from your system (programs and features) and then try to reinstall the game and see if the problem is resolved.

• Zoo Tycoon 2 - cannot run

  My daughter has Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Collection. It runs on a 32-bit computer Win 7 with 3 GB of RAM. It worked very well for a long time. After a few months of not playing, she inserted the CD and launched the program. The screen 'Run', 'Install', 'website' appeared. She clicks on 'run '. After a few moments, a dialog box appears that says: "Please insert the Zoo Tycoon Disc 1 and click OK to run the Game" or something similar. Of course, the disk is already in the drive. Re-insert the disc or by clicking OK without reinserting the disc means nothing.

  I can browse the files on the CD. The player seems to work fine - it plays DVD.

• Help to install Zoo Tycoon 2 "Zookeeper Collection" on Win 7 64 bit?

  Howdy!

  I tried several times to install Zoo Tycoon 2 'guardians of Zoo Collection' on my PC with WIN 7 64 bit, but for the life of me, I can't make it work. Everytime I try to start the game I get an error box saying I don't have enough graphics memory. Of course this is not the case because I have a Nvidia Ge Force 8800 GT with 256 MB of ram with a quad core and 8 GB RAM. So it's not like my system it cannot manage. It worked fine when I had Windows XP as well so I'm a loser. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance.

• Error memory of Zoo Tycoon 2

  I am unable to run Zoo Tycoon 2 on my new system.  I get an error message when you first try to run the game regarding having 0 MB of memory installed when 256 MB is required.  I have 4 GB of memory in my system, Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  I had no problems during installation and tried to run before and after the latest Zoo Tycoon patch.

  The question may actually be related to virtual memory (file) you physical ram. This gives a shot.
  1. click on START
  2 right-click 'computer '.
  3. Select "Properties".
  4. click on "advanced system settings".
  5. click on 'Performance '.
  6. click on the "Advanced" tab
  7. click on the button 'change '.
  8. click on "manage it automatically...". »
  9 choose 'custom size '.
  10 enter the following values
  Initial size (MB): 300
  Size maximum (MB): 600
  11. click on the 'play' button to apply the changes
  12. click on 'Ok '.
  13. click on 'apply '.
  14. click on 'Ok '.
  15 restart the computer

• Zoo Tycoon 2 does not work on Windows 7

  Ive just installed Windows 7 32 bit on my laptop of son.

  Zoo Tycoon 2, the collection of zookeepers installs OK but does not work. If I insert disc, the screen comes back, but when I hit play nothing happens and zoo tycoon disappears from the Task Manager.

  Method 1.
  Let us all first download and install the patch for this game and then try to play and check if it works.

  If you are unable to play the game or to install the patch perform the steps below.

  a. Click Start and type msconfig in the search bar and press ENTER.
  b. Select start.
  c. go to the advanced options.
  d. place a check on the maximum memory check and to increase maximum.
  e. click on ok and apply and ok.

  Method 3.
  Try to play the game in the State of clean boot and check if it works.

• I can not load of Zoo Tycoon 2 on Vista

  I tried loading Zoo Tycoon 2 but get an error message stating that I need at least 256 MB of memory system (found 0Mo).

  I checked and I have plenty of memory free system.

  I have tried to change the settings depending on the response of Azam K on December 5, 2009 and have checked the vista instructions as well.

  What can I do else?

  I had problems with some of the older games that worked on XP with my Vista... change the compatibility mode to run in 98 has contributed to some of the games.

  There are many versions of zoo tycoon, which are compatible with vista 64-bit. See the link below. But if the requirement of the game is only 32 bits, then you will not be able to play these games on 64-bit.

  • You are able to successfully install the other applications and software?
  • You install this game from a cd?

  If you use a CD or DVD to install this game, I recommend copying the contents of the CD/DVD on the desktop and try again. It is possible that one of the files in the CD is damaged.
  You can also try to clean the disc with a soft cloth and try again.
   
  If the installation of the game is stored on a computer again one of the files is missing or damaged.
  If you have a CD/DVD of the game trying to install using them.
