  I have Aperture 3.4.5 installed on my iMac.  I recently updated my OS from the Lion to El Capitan.  Now opening will not run and the App Store says a 3.6 update is available.  When I try to update for the opening of the App Store, it prompt you first connect with my Apple ID.

  After signing in, I get a dialog box indicating "Update not available with this Apple ID" "this update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by another user or the item has been refunded or cancelled."

  I bought the physical support for Aperture and could keep it always current by using the software update.  So I'm at a loss on how to proceed from here.  Furthermore, I have exactly the same problem with iPhoto.  Suggestions other that lugging my iMac in an Apple Store for help?

  Only opening 3.6 is fully compatible with El Capitan.  But this update is available for versions of opening that are associated with your AppleID on the App Store.

  For a limited time (wth the liberation of the Mavericks and opening 3.5.1) was it possible to upgrade your Aperture the retail box version to the version of the AppStore. But this window of opportunity no longer exists because Apple stopped selling opening from the AppStore. Now software update is no longer works.

  You can reinstall opening and update this way to version 3.6, if your version of Aperture is displayed in the history of the purchases on the App Store.  Opening appears in the fourth tab - shopping?  If this isn't the case, you can only update with the help of Apple Support.   I got my 260 E for about a year and later that yesterday I went to turn it on, but it remains on the logon screen. Enter mode 'sleep', but I can't listen to music or find out anything because it will not go beyond the opening screen. The second of 10-15 soft reset I tried a hundred times, but it does not work.

  Assuming you have a v1 with the recovery mode:

  1. Turn off the player.
  2. Slide the key lock (to headphone jack).
  3. Press and hold the RECORD when connecting to the PC.
  4. Output RECORD when the "Welcome to recovery mode" message on the LCD s drive.
  5. Open my computer/Windows explore and see if you can find a new "16 MB - FORMAT" labeled removable flash drive
  6. Right-click on 16 MB-FORMAT and select new folder.
  7. Name the new folder "sansa.fmt" (without the quotes).
  8. Use the remove safely icon in the system tray.
  9. HOLD reset in the unlocked position.
  10. Disconnect the player from the PC.

  The player must, by seeing the folder sansa.fmt in the root directory of the drive, proceed to format itself.  Pay attention to any error/success message see you.  If all goes well, it will tell the full format and then to restart.

  DO NOT TRY TO FORMAT THE VOLUME 16 MB-FORMAT!

  If the format does not work, the next step is to try to update the firmware.  Go to the correct sticky message and download the firmware for your region .24A (assuming that he is a player of v1).  Drag and drop the embedded .mi4 and ROM files of archive of the firmware in the root directory of the 16 MB-FORMAT drive.  Make sure that the files end up in the root directory and not in a subdirectory.  Unplug and restart the player as before.

  I use Firefox as default browser v10.0.2 on Dell XPS8300 Intel Core i5 and Windows 7 Ultimate and Compaq Presario CQ57 IO IO Intel Core i3 and Windows 7 Home. More frequently on the (approximately 90% of attempts) that Dell (50% of attempts) Firefox will not display on the screen when I click the icon. Cannot display other programs when it happens. I expressly say display because I believe that Firefox has started. To work around the problem, I installed Process Explorer on both machines and launch this program first, then click on the Firefox icon. When the problem occurs I see process Firefox.exe in the list of processes; some CPU consumed but, then, no CPU activity. If I click on the Firefox icon, yet another process opens in the list of processes, but with the same answer - some consumed CPU and then no CPU activity. If I have 2 processes running and kill the process from the 1st, the 2nd poster and then everything is normal. If I do not open it treat a 2nd, but kill the 1st process then click the Firefox Firefox is displayed and all then is normal. This problem has occurred since the original on the two new machines installation. I have updated the video drivers on both computers.

  OK, let's see if we can solve this problem and make it work for you!

  First of all, if you start Firefox in safe mode (restart your computer first, then when you open Firefox, hold down the SHIFT key) it starts more reliable?   Open the Services applet (start > run > services.msc > OK) and scroll down to "print spooler".  The status should be started and the Startup Type should be automatic.  What are the parameters of your correspondents?  If your print spooler is stopped, you can try to launch it by clicking on the link, but I suspect that it stops again.  Please report the results of your efforts.

  You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.
